1 C1 - Wake Up

"Argh..."

Sharp pain ran through my body as I try to move. What just happened, I wondered and try to open my heavy eyelids. A devastated area with some building still burned was what comes in my sight.

'Where the hell am I...!?'

I thought as I endure the pain, especially on my stomach and tried to get up from the ground only to fall down again just after I get up.

"Ugh..."

A pathetic voice escaped my mouth as the pain all over my body increased. It is like being crushed by a tree and you can't do anything but just quietly endure it.

I turned my body up as not to crush my stomach and just laying here thinking that there's maybe someone or something noticed me.

*tap... tap... tap... tap...

Just when I'm about to close my eyes, I heard a sound of footsteps from just a few meters away from me. I turned my head hardly to the direction to see a tall and handsome man with black hair reaching down to his neck, red eyes, and what surprised me the most was a horn on the center of his forehead facing upward.

"Oh my, I never thought that I'll meet with someone in this destroyed Beastman village."

The man said and carefully inspecting me. A Beastman? Then again, a horn on his forehead seemed to be real, am I even still on Earth right now?

'This is not the time to think of this kind of thing, I need to ensure my safety first.'

Thinking so, I stretched my hand out to him. I tried to say something but there's only muffled sound coming from my mouth. But it was enough, the man seemed to understand what I asked as he lifted me from the ground.

*crack

"Ghak!"

"Oh, sorry sorry, I kinda forget that you've injuries all over your body."

Damn it. If only my condition is not like this, I'm sure I'll hit this man on his face real hard. The man then put me down again and unite his hands together which then appeared a blue warm light.

Then with a blue light in his hands, he touched the parts where my pain was coming from such as my stomach, legs, hands, back and neck. Everytime he touches them, I felt like something entered my body and slowly easing down the pain until finally the pain disappeared completely.

"It doesn't hurt anymore...What is that?"

I asked confusedly. This is the first time I'm seeing this magical things other then the things in fictions.

"It's healing magic. I'm not that adept enough to use high spell ones but something like this is very easy for me. Are you interested?"

Magic!? So am I really stranded into a magical world? Isn't this bad, I'm not native of this world and I'm sure can't use magic or such. Wait, there's really something strange on my body thay I just realized.

'A cat ears... and even a tail... Wait, am I also gets smaller than before?'

After inspecting my body, I can say that they're real. My ears, tails, and even my body height. Everything changed. On top of my head, a pair of pointed black cat ears while sticking above my ass is a black long tail.

"Oiii~ Are you still there...? You're not even saying your gratitude after I saved you."

I came out of my stupor when heard the man saying so. Ah, It seems that I'm dozing off this whole time while he's explaining about the magic.

"Ah! Sorry... And also thank you very much for saving me."

I immediately apologies to him and thanking him for saving me. Come to think of it, I don't know this man's name yet, moreover I don't even remember my own name now. Strangely, I don't feel any issues of not knowing my own name.

"Anyway, what's your name, Mister? And also what are you talking about just now?"

"You can call me Sieg... It is almost impossible to meet with a live Nether Linx now, so I thought of having you as my disciple. How about it?"

"Nether Linx?"

Is it my race? Well, it explain the black colored ears and tail. But still a Nether Linx, huh... From the name alone, I can say that my race is related to darkness or some short of it.

"Sheesh don't tell me, you don't even know your race? Or are you had an amnesia now?"

What to do... Am I just going to say that I'm not from this world... No no no that'd be a terrible idea. For now let's get along with the flow, I hope he doesn't have any abilities to see through lies or anything like that considering this world has magic.

"Uhm... I don't know, the moment I woke up I was already in these destroyed village with injuries all over my body."

I am not lying. I'm really just woke up in this desolate place with my body full of injuries. This is perfect, even if he had such ability he'll not able to use it as I'm definitely not lying.

"Hum... Is that so? Well you must be traumatized before and can't handle it, and so your brain immediately erase your memory, including about yourself. Anyway, what's your decision?"

'Safe!'

So anyway, now I'm thinking of his proposal. If I'm going to be his disciple, it might be ensure my safety in addition of being able to use magic later. Is there even any better things than this?

"Yes, I'll be your disciple."

"That's good! Haha~ well then let's go for now, I bet your hungry, right? There's a town a few miles away from here. I'll teleport us there in a moment."

Like that, I became a disciple of someone who I just meet a moment ago. I don't know what will happen in the future but, this is my first step to survive in this world.
