1 The Beginning
(10 Years ago....)
"Attack the demons! Don't let them get through the gates! King Dragor shouted as he entered the battlefield
King Dragor shouts once again in the midst of chaos "Men don't falter! Defend the kingdom with your life!"
The intensity of battle carried on through the shouts of men and the unearthly shrieks and cries of demons! Though the battle is in favor of the kingdom of Eranfled but no one expected HIS presence.
The knights trembled in fear as they saw the demon king holding his demon sword with his immense wings walking towards them. They stood still and left theirselves unguarded.
One quick slash of the demons kings blade obliterated thousands of men and burrowed fear into the heart of King Dragor and was horrified about the power of the demon king and the numbers of men he lost.
"You monster!" King Dragor screamed while mounting his horse, he proceeds to charge through the Demon King
King Dragor atop his horse charged through the battle while slicing demons left and right, along with his longsword and armor with its shining insignia of the kingdom while getting bathed by demons blood
A winged demon in it last rows of unholy life sliced the galloping horse in half cutting it like a wood to an axe, the mighty kings golden yellow eyes shined with alarm when he toppled down, yet not even the death of his trusty horse will stop his one man crusade against the remaining demons
He picked up his sword and charged once again as he thrusts his sword to the chest of a demon, blood came spewing from its chest bathing King Dragor, then a demon tries to attack from behind. King dragor immediately turns around while swinging his sword resulting the demon to lose its head. A demon came running to him so he swings his sword, however, little did he know the Demon King was lurking behind the demon and punches king dragor with his enormous flaming hands.
The Demon King laughed "Well well well, What do we have here?"
"You're a monster" Says King Dragor
"Oh I'm quite aware of that" he chuckled as he torments the great half-dragonian king
He brutally punches King Dragor with his large flaming hands while staring at him with his terrifying red eyes, he decided to let King Dragor watch his kingdom burn.
Demon King shouts "ohh how delightful watch oh mighty KING as i lay waste to your very kingdom, this was your failure!" He then continues to laugh
After King Dragor was forced to watch his Kingdom get destroyed, he then closes his eyes and a bright light appeared, he started to murmur something.
"So called 'DRAGON KING', can you stop murmuring?"
"One day someone will appear, one who can outmatch you, one who can fight you, one who can kill you...." As he said and gave a smirk
He frowns "You know KING dragor that little smirk you gave kinda irritated me, let me remove that for you"
The Demon King sliced off King Dragor's head cleanly and then...
(Alarm clock rang)
I was woken up irritated by the loud ring of my alarm clock. I struggled turning it off beside my bed table because I was still so sleepy to do anything, but eventually, I was successful on turning it off.
"It's probably seven thirty..." I murmured, then I immediately got up from the comfy sheets of my bed.
After I do my usual morning routines, I headed straight to the kitchen to eat my breakfast. I was famished and was about to get my food in the oven when my phone rang. It was mom, then without further ado I tapped the green button.
"Mom?" I said while getting my plate.o
"Shiki, I already transfered your monthly allowance in your credit. I won't be there for a month or so. is that okay with you."
"Yes Mom." I said. "Where are you going by the way?" I asked while eating.
"I have a business trip with the board. I have to close some deals so I want you to take care of the house while I'm gone, okay?"
"Okay Mom."
"Bye honey."
And the call went silent.
I finished eating while talking with mom in the phone. I washed the dishes before putting my school uniform, so after that I wore my uniform and my shoes then grabbed my bag. I'm headed to school now.
Pretty much on the way there, I keep thinking about anime's and stuff, then I started to think how would my life do if I was in a fantasy world.
I saw Mina on the way, so I ran to catch up to her.
"Hey mina!" I said while catching my breath
"Oh Hi" She said. "Are you okay shiki?" She asked
"Yes, are you on your way to school?"
"Yeh, I just got out of my house"
"Can I join you on the way?" I asked with a smile
"Sure!"
While on our way to school, she started a conversation about fantasy. "Say shiki, what do you like about fantasy?" Mina asked. I think for a moment, "Hmm, for me its a way to escape life by thinking unrealistic things i've never done". She looked at me and grinned. After a while we reached our room.
I sat in my chair, took out my book and then let time pass as the teachers weren't here yet. Time check it was 8:16 and our classes start at 8, pretty much the teacher was late.
"Teacher is late again, welp"
Not a while ago the teacher came in, she then reminded us that the deadline of our assignments was today. I opened my bag to get my assignment.
I sigh, "is there any problem shiki?" Dani asks. "I can't find my assignment in my bag" then i remembered that I left it in my desk.
"Crap, I left it in my desk last night as I was making it" I silently grumbled, "Oh what happens, happens for freak sake"
Then Class was finished, i slept through the whole class and did alot of reading. I went to Mina and asked if she would walk home with me.
"Hey mina" I said. "Wanna walk home together?" I asked while scratching my head, She nods, "Sure".
"So about your question earlier mina..how about you? What do you think about fantasy?" I asked curiously. She replies "Nothing special really, i'm just curious of your answer".
It made me think for a moment as i glare at her, "Oh, do you like books by any chance?"She asked. I nod and respond, "yeah, what brings that up?".
She hands a book to me, "here, you can have this". I gladly accept it, "What's this for?", She then smiles at me and wave goodbye.
I wave back as she left me, she gave me a book not stating why but its about fantasy worlds. I quickly stuffed it in my bag and continued walking. I'm hoping that I could finish reading it before giving it back to her. I see a huge crowd along the way which was pretty normal because its a market.
"Hey futoshi" I sigh, "Oh hey, shiki" he replied. "What's the commotion all about?. He rubs his chin,"hmmm i really don't know either, I just got here sorry dude".
"Is there any other way I can pass through?" I ask. he points towards the alley, "I think you can pass in that alley over there." I gave him my thanks and continued walking.
"Is this the alley he pointed to?" The alley was pretty dark and quiet but nonetheless I went through the alley. I took my phone out from my pocket to text mom about when she will be home then suddenly a bright red circle appears below me with scriptures I couldn't read, "What's this?!", I placed my hand in my forehead,"I'm getting dizzy, I think I'll pass out...."
(In the Castle of the Kingdom Melandria)
A wise and old king with his noble clothing and shiny gold crown sits in its throne, he ordered his servant to call the princess, "Deryan, summon the princess this instance.", Deryan follows the order, "Yes, your majesty."
15 minutes passed, Deryan enters the room and kneels "Your majesty, the princess is here". The princess enters the room with her glamorous pink dress and shiny hairclip then kneels, she asks. "What is it father?", The king showed a troubled look. "I need your help to summon a hero". The princess nods, "What for father?"
