9 New Beginning?

Seeing the system notice I released my grip on the joystick, a rush of relief washing over me. Elena, I can finally go home...

I thought it was finally over and I could head back home to earn my well-deserved rest, However, that sense of relief was short-lived. A sudden [Warning] Sign lit up, jolting me just before my aircraft was struck. In an instant, my aircraft's damage reached an alarming 100%.

Time seemed to stretch as a sense of foreboding settled over me. Then, a spark of panic ignited as flames erupted across my control panel. Within moments, my aircraft began its descent.

No...NO...NO NO NO! Not now! I haven't even settled my sister's bills yet! Grasping the joystick, I fought to maintain control, suppressing the searing sensation of the fire.

DAMMIT! DAMMIT! Please for the love of god! I can not fail yet! Not NOW!

<<Mayday! Mayday! This is Butcher 1, I am going down!>>

As the aircraft descended slowly, My cockpit was slowly engulfed in flames as the ground was slowly getting closer. I braced for the inevitable impact, my eyes squeezed shut against what was to come seeing that the survibality was not possible.

'I'm sorry, sis. I couldn't succeed.'

That marked the final coherent thought as darkness enveloped me, ushering in unconsciousness, and that was the last fragment of memory before everything faded away.

Meanwhile, at the upper ground, Casualties keep rising at an unprecedented level. When HQ was about to abort the operation and tell everyone to retreat something unexpected happened.

<<W-wait something is not right! The BETA force has just completely retreated!>>

A collective gasp swept through the battlefield as every gaze widened. Without warning, the entire BETA force ceased their assault, simultaneously turned around to reveal their backs, and then swiftly commenced a retreat, leaving the humans utterly perplexed.

It... leaves everyone stunned upon seeing it, Never in the history of fighting did they ever see BETA retreat.

Why would BETA retreat?

Until something takes the eyes of everyone as suddenly a blue-hued mushroom cloud reaches toward the heavens. formed around HIVE that takes their heart follow suit by earthquake shaking the ground around them.

Not one person was speaking, as their mouth was a gabe and they kept looking at blue-hued mushrooms ignoring the BETA who were right next to them. Even the distance sound of a bird was louder than the comms itself showing how silent it is.

<<...Did that explosion come from the HIVE?>>

<<No way...>>

They found themselves in a state of disbelief, unable to accept the reality of their victory. They thought it was considered impossible to take out a HIVE, and never in history that BETA retreat from the battlefield.

Amid the prevailing quiet, a singular voice erupted from the HQ, shattering the silence <<HE ACTUALLY DID IT! He destroys the HIVE! WE WON!>> The words carried a hint of someone trying to contain tears of sheer joy.

As one communication echo. One Soldier roars on the battlefield, does the other follows suit so that everyone begins accepting Reality. Eyes glistened with tears as everyone dropped their weapon and collectively acknowledged the new reality..

That Human have just won. Humanity just won. They finally forced the BETA to run.

On the battlefield, every Surface pilot, soldier, and crew keeps screaming at the top of their lung. Saying that they have won while tears pour down from their face.

While at HQ passed around hugs, tears of their suffering slowly dropping like an endless loop. It was perhaps their first… and their greatest triumph over the long-fought enemy in a long while.

For the first time in history-no since the Dread War, humanity finally manages to defeat the BETA force and recapture the lost land.

And for the first hope was restored deep inside their heart, thinking that from now on. Humanity will be on the counter-offensive.

Even though everyone was cheering in happiness, HQ ordered the remaining ground force to eliminate the remaining BETA who were running away. And everyone was more than happy to do that. Until...

<<Watch 10 out, the main protagonist is headed this way! Look, o'clock!>>

All eyes turned to the sky upon hearing the familiar sound of aircraft engines roaring overhead. The White singularity aircraft gradually descended from the skies, drawing everyone's gaze. An brought huge happiness to everyone as many raised their hand welcoming it.

<<Our hero arrives!>> <<Roll out the red carpet!>><<I want to see his face!>><<Make way!!>>

But even with all of that, the joy didn't last long. <<Wait... something's wrong! That aircraft is trailing smoke!>> A tense stillness replaced the cheer.

<<Mayday! 1 Mayday! This is Butcher I am going down!>>

Dread clenched the hearts of those who heard the distress call. Activities halted as everyone converged on HQ, readying for an urgent rescue mission. As Every single Military begins to prepare themself.

And when I say everyone, I mean every last soldier stationed on Sadogashima

HQ, noticing the urgency, swiftly dispatched nearby TSFs to the crash site to secure the survivor. Furthermore, they urgently contacted the mainland, requesting reinforcements to establish a new defensive line on Sadogashima.

Meanwhile, the Valkyrie Squadron, being the closest unit, wasted no time and sped towards the crash site, eliminating any BETA in their path. Amid their intense rush, one member had his thoughts consumed by questions—none other than the main character himself.

A single Aircraft not only turned the tide of the war but because of him the casualties were less than expected around 40% of the Operation, something Takeru Never expected.

Usually, in any given Operation the casualties would be around 50% to 70% at worst. Considering that this was humanity's first notable retaliation against the BETA, Takeru felt a renewed sense of hope, and he even shed tears of joy witnessing the BETA retreat in defeat.

It can't be helped when extinction looms over everyone's head. I look at my own hand and grip it hard. Finally, the timeline is changing! Humanity will win this time!

However, amidst all of this, the central question remained: who was the pilot? Takeru had never encountered this aircraft in any of the timelines he had traversed. Its existence was only known to him from stories Tama used to share, particularly the tale of the "Demon Lord" who had saved Kyoto.

Could it be that Takeru's interference with the future somehow triggered the appearance of this enigmatic pilot?

<<Hey, what do you think the Demon Lord looks like?>> Tama's eyes gleamed with enthusiasm.

Almost forgot that Tama was Demon Lord's biggest fan.

Haruka taking the advantage smirks at Tama <<Hah! I bet it is an old man who has various experiments with the way he dodges Laser Class ease>>

Arriving at the crash site fire he immediately slid down the TSF and headed to the plane on foot, alongside his comrades as some of them dropped out while some stayed on the TSF to guard in case of a BETA surprise attack.

As he drew near the wreckage, his attention was drawn to a potential survivor seated within the burning aircraft—a perilous situation that seemed on the brink of explosion. Sensing the urgency, he sprinted with all his might. Upon reaching the site, he closed the distance to the pilot, lifted him from the cockpit, and hastened away from the impending danger

Moments later, the aircraft erupted in a fiery explosion behind them.

<<Takeru! Don't be hasty!>> Meiya said through the comms

<<It's fine, in any case, I have the survivor with me>> He cast a quick glance over his shoulder, his arms holding the bleeding pilot.

He was much younger then we expected, around our age but with distinct future of blond hair that makes it stand out.

"He's one of us," Tama remarked, his gaze fixated on the wounded pilot with a mix of intrigue "...And that blond hair is he American?"

With a sense of urgency, he cradled the injured pilot and made his way back to HQ, knowing that medical attention was desperately needed. Before resuming his journey, he glanced upwards at the heavens, his ears picking up the resonant echo of a loud noise. His eyes traced the source of the sound, witnessing a fleet of aircraft descending from the mainland—a skyward proclamation that the battle had reached its conclusion.
