90 Chapter 88

Alex woke up with a feeling that he was being watched. He was startled to find Keith sitting on his bedside staring at him.

"Hey, how long have you been sitting there? Did you just get home?" Alex asked, glancing at the watch on the bedside table. It's a quarter past one in the morning, either Keith just got home or he's been back for a while and just spent all that time watching him sleep.

"I just got back a while ago. Sorry if I wake you up, you should go back to sleep." Keith replied, giving Alex a gentle kiss on the top of his head.

Alex stared at his husband but he couldn't tell if something bad happened with his parents or not and it doesn't seem like Keith would want to discuss it with him.

Alex lifts his body towards Keith and rests his head on his husband's lap. Keith automatically massages Alex's head, gently running his fingers through his head.

"So how did it go? Did your parents approve of me or did they say I'm not good enough for you?" Alex asked after sighing deeply. His eyes were closed as if not wanting to meet his husband's eyes even though it's impossible for Keith to see his face given their position.

"I couldn't say it's okay nor was it okay. As expected they were a bit shocked with the news, who wouldn't be right?" Keith replied, his fingers now massaging Alex's ears making him sleepy.

"Hmmm, I guess that is still considered okay. W-were they bothered with me being an Omega?"

"I'm not sure." Keith replied. "Though my mother thinks I'm lying and just making excuses to stop her from setting me up on a blind date." Keith added, though he didn't mention that his mother actually invited someone over tonight hoping he would like her enough to date and marry her.

Alex giggled hearing Keith's mom's reaction. "Do you really hate all those blind dates? Enough for your mom to think you're lying about getting married?"

Keith was caught off guard with Alex's reaction. He was expecting him to be anxious and worried. He honestly contemplated not telling him about what happened tonight and just told him that his mother wants to meet him. When he left earlier, Alex seemed agitated and anxious that he almost canceled meeting his parents but now something seems different with his wife that it baffles him.

"Alex.."

"Hmmm?"

"Are you okay? Perhaps you're having a fever or something?" Keith asked, checking Alex's forehead for any fever.

"I'm fine. I'm not sick." Alex replied, chuckling because Keith is eyeing him suspiciously for laughing and for generally being okay given the situation.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah I am really okay. Sebastian told me that your parents are good people. Your father can befriend someone beyond his status and your mom is kind enough to accept that, that is saying something about your parents' personality. I mean, I would still be nervous when I finally get to meet them, because who wouldn't be nervous when they meet their in-laws for the first time? However, I'm not worried anymore because I have faith in you. We chose to be in this together and I believe that it's up to us to make it work. Besides, even if they won't like me at first, I'm sure they will, eventually." Alex turned his head and smiled at Keith. "Also, I'm okay if they won't like me as long as they would love Bean. I would like for Bean to have a good relationship with his or her grandparents on both sides of the family."

Keith smiled at Alex and stroked his hair affectionately. "What have you been doing while I was away. Seems like you did some growing up while I was gone." Keith said, teasing his wife.

"Hey! I'm not an immature kid." Alex pouted, making Keith laugh at him. "I toured the house with Sebastian today. Oh, I just remembered, there's a table on the veranda of the drawing room that is overlooking the garden. Can we have our breakfast there on weekends? The view is really relaxing and the garden is full of flowers now, it's very beautiful." Alex excitedly asked which prompted Keith to nod enthusiastically. "Also, is it okay? I asked Sebastian to make a connecting door for the room beside ours."

"You can do anything you want. This is our home now." Keith said, kissing Alex gently on his lips. "By the way, why do you need another room? Don't tell me you want your own room? That I cannot allow." Keith said, frowning at the thought of not having Alex in his arms while he sleeps.

"No! No!! I want to convert the room beside ours into Bean's room." Alex replied laughing. "Of course while Bean is still a baby I will have Bean sleep with us in this room but once Bean is old enough he or she can have the other room and if Bean cries, I can easily go to him or her. It's so hard talking about Bean because I don't know if it's gonna be a he or a she." Alex giggled at how silly his thoughts are. "I was thinking of decorating the room in neutral colors since we don't know yet what Bean's gender would be."

"Why not decide once we know Bean's gender? On your check up this week, we can already know right?"

"Ahmm.. yeah! Mattie said we can know the gender by the fourteenth week though there's a possibility that Bean might now allow us to see it. I was thinking of neutral colors so when we have another child the baby would be able to use it too."

Keith smiled, liking what he heard. Alex hasn't given birth to their first child but his wife is already thinking of their other future babies. "We can just renovate it again once we have another child." Keith said nonchalantly.

"It's a waste to have the room redecorated just because our next baby has a different gender than Bean."

"Alex, have you forgotten who your husband is? Our babies can have their room redecorated every month if they want." Keith said matter of factly.

Alex rolled his eyes in response at Keith's boasting, though the Alpha is just stating facts, he still thinks it's a waste of money. On the other hand, Keith found his reaction so adorable that he couldn't help but pinched his wife's nose.

"Hey! Not my nose. Mattie said it would be swollen and will look like a tomato soon, don't force it." Alex complained, pouting. "Ohh! Ohhh!" Alex suddenly screamed and sat up.

"Hey, careful. Don't get up so abruptly. Is there something wrong?" Keith asked worriedly but he's confused at the excited look on Alex's face.

"I forgot I have something to show you." Alex said, grabbing Keith's hands. "Do you feel it? Do you feel it? I have a tiny bump now." Alex grinned at his dumbfounded husband. "I noticed it earlier after I showered then I called my mom. She said maybe it's because we already told people about Bean so it's started showing up. I don't know how true it is but it doesn't matter—

Alex could not finish his sentence when Keith suddenly cupped his face and kissed him passionately. It was so sudden that he was finding it hard to control his breathing but despite that he returned his husband's kisses just as passionately, their tounge's meeting, exploring each other's mouth. It was intense that they were both panting when they stopped to catch their breath. Only then did Alex realize that he was lying down and Keith was already on top of him. He was using his arms not to push his weight against Alex's.

"Can I? Can we?" Keith asked, panting in between. It's been a while since they've been this intimate that he felt like he would lose his control any moment.
