74 Chapter 72

"Just relax Alex okay?" Doctor Lee said, giving the pregnant Omega a reassuring smile. Men or women, Omega or not, they were all nervous and excited upon hearing their baby's heartbeat for the first time and with all that happened earlier Alex might still be agitated which is why he wanted to calm him and reassure him. "I'm gonna put some gel on your tummy, it might be cold and sticky but this will reduce the static from the machine. Are you ready?"

Alex nodded at the doctor as Keith gently squeezed his shoulders. Alex smiled at Keith and he winced as he saw his husband's face. His handsome face is full of cuts, his cheeks are a bit swollen, his nose finally stopped bleeding and he got a plaster on the side of his mouth which one of the nurses helped put after cleaning his wounds. He looked like someone who got mugged in a dark alley somewhere. On the other hand, his brother is giving him the silent treatment as he assisted Doctor Lee. He knew he gave Matt the biggest shock of his life and he deserved the cold shoulder. Anyone would be mad if he found out their brother got marked and got pregnant by some stranger. Still, his older brother's presence is giving him an assurance that Bean would be fine.

"Don't be nervous, just relax. Okay, I'll start now." Doctor Lee stated as he put the device on Alex's tummy.

Alex waited holding his breath as the doctor moved the machine around his tummy. The gel really felt cold but not that uncomfortable or maybe his mind is all too focused to meet their little bean.

"Hmmm, let's see."Doctor Lee said as he shifted the machine a bit lower to the right.

Alex gasped when he heard that thumping sound. "Th..That's Bean right?" Alex asked the doctor who nodded and smiled. "Keith it's Bean, it's really Bean." Alex exclaimed, covering his mouth with his free hand to control himself from crying but to no avail as tears fell down his face as they continued to listen to Bean's heartbeat.

"Our little fellow here seemed to be quite strong. The doctor who treated you said you fell down and he was worried that the baby might be unstable. However the way I see it your baby is doing just fine. You did well protecting your little one." Doctor Lee patted Alex's hands. He was really brave for protecting his baby despite himself getting injured in the process.

Alex cried and thanked the Doctor. He was really glad that Bean was okay. He was so scared that something might have happened to Bean while he was trapped in that toilet with Dwight. The doctor from the E.R. said Bean was fine but he could not believe it not until he heard the baby's heartbeat himself.

Keith gave Alex's shoulder another gentle squeeze. He wanted to hug and kiss his wife to console him but he restrained himself as he didn't want Alex's brother to get mad again. The way he sees it, Matt is struggling to accept the reality that his brother is married, marked and pregnant afterall he learned about it all in one day. He couldn't blame the other Alpha, it must have been a shock for him especially finding his brother all beaten up. He should hold back for now afterall he still yet to meet Alex's parents. There's still a mountain left for him to climb.

"The baby is okay for now but don't be too complacent, first and foremost pregnancy is extremely hard in general as you are carrying the life of another human being inside you so be careful and take care of yourself the time. Secondly, you are an Omega and a male at that thus your pregnancy is more complicated than the others. Luckily for you, your brother is a very good doctor and he dedicated himself to become the best just for you." Doctor Lee said smiling. He knew from the start that Dr. Fernandez became a doctor because of his brother and it is for that reason that he took the younger doctor under his wing. Someone who would commit themselves for their loved ones will do everything in his power to save someone's life, because they know the importance of family and that is what makes Dr. Fernandez great at what he does. "Okay, here you go. A special gift for you and your husband." Doctor Lee said, handing Alex the copy of Bean's ultrasound.

"Thank you so much doctor. I'll promise to do my best to keep our Bean safe and healthy." Alex replied hugging the small photo in his hands.

"Are you sure we are in the right place?" Helena asked her husband.

They were frantically searching for their youngest son when Matt called and informed them that he had found Alex. They were relieved and thankful that Alex is safe but they were surprised when their eldest told them where to find Alex.

"Mattie said we should go to the VIP room at their hospital." George replied to his wife.

"B..but I don't think Alex would be here." Helena said, staring at a group of men in suit standing guard at the VIP room Matt told them to go to.

"Maybe he's visiting a friend or something." George took his wife's hand and walked towards the door trying his best not to get intimidated by the men in suits.

A.Andersen. Does their son know someone like that? As far as the couple knows, Dan is Alex's only friend.

"Excuse me Sir, Ma'am, are you Mr. Alex's parents?" One of the men asked.

"Ahh… Yes. Yes we are his parents." George replied with Helena hiding behind him.

"You may come in." The men opened the door and led the couple in.

Helena gasped and immediately ran towards her son. "What happened to you? Why are you like this?." Helena frantically asked. Her heart broke when he saw the state his youngest son is in. "My baby. Mommy's here now." Helena cried as she hugged an equally crying Alex.

George stood frozen, watching his wife run to their son who's lying in a hospital bed all bruised up. Their eldest son, silently sitting on the side and another man with a bruised up face he doesn't know is on Alex's other side. He quietly walked towards his eldest son and watched his wife and youngest son cry themself out.

"Mom.. Mom.." Alex cried hugging his mother with his left hand.

"Shhh. Mom is here now." Helena gently strokes her son's hair as tears fall down his face.

Keith watched as the family got reunited. Alex told him he hasn't seen his family since they bonded so he knew that this moment meant a lot to his wife, thus he's patiently waiting on the sideline. Looking at them he could see Matt's resemblance to his parents though Alex doesn't seem to share any trait from their parents. Maybe he took after one of their grandparents. Resemblance aside, he could tell just how much his family loved his wife.

"Mom.. Dad.. I''d like you to meet someone." Alex said to his parents once he calmed down. "This is ahmm Keith, he's the president of the company I am doing my internship." Alex said, fidgeting as he introduced the Alpha to his family.

"I apologized, we totally ignored you. Thank you for helping our son." George said, offering his hand to Keith. By the looks of it, this man helped their son who got into an accident.

"Ahmm Dad… Mom." Alex gulped, glancing at his mother who gasped in realization. "He's ahmm.. he's my… my.. ahmm.. my husband." Alex blurted out.
