"Thank you once again for helping me," Brad said to Star as she stopped the car some distance away from the driveway. He didn't want any member of his family to see him getting out of a woman's car. 

"You're really not going to try anything stupid by confronting him, right?" Star asked with a raised brow. 

"Why? You're worried about me already?" Brad asked with a teasing smile. 

"No, I'm not. I'm just asking so I know if I can trust you to stay safe and not ruin my plans or whether I will have to knock you out and tie you up until your mother returns from her trip, and then, I'll present you to her as an early Christmas gift," Star said, making Brad laugh out loud. He stopped when he noticed she wasn't laughing.

"Wait, you aren't joking?" He asked in amusement.
