160 Irony.

Even though Ann knew that what Mrs. Jiang had just said made sense, she couldn't help feeling very angry at the fact that she thought she could just walk into the office and announce a marriage date and expect them to go along with it, whether or not it was for their good.

"That should be my call and his to make, not yours. And definitely not his grandfather's call, either. Can't you all just stay by the side and observe without wanting to get involved in whatever is going on between myself and him?" Ann asked with barely suppressed anger.

"No, we can't. It is our duty to guide you into making the right decisions whether or not you like it. You've always known this, but I guess that is one of the things this amnesia thing is making you forget," Mrs. Jiang said flippantly, discarding Ann's grievance.
