45 "Fiancee?"

"Jiang Grace? Who is that?" Brad asked, reaching out to take the credit card from Tae-Joon.

"What is my fiancee's credit card doing in your room?" Tae-Joon asked with a frown. What was going on?

"Fiancee? I don't know anything about that," Brad said with a frown. So her name was Jiang Grace? She would just remain Princess proud to him.

Tae-Joon took out his phone and handed it over to Brad, who read the headline with a frown before flashing him a grin.

"Well, lucky you, I didn't murder someone or rob a Bank," He said with a grin making Tae-Joon cock a brow.

"I don't remotely find this situation funny. And what I find even less funny is finding my fiancee's credit card in your bedroom," Tae-Joon said with a frown of disapproval.

"She is really your fiancee?." Brad asked with a smile before standing up to put on a shirt. Why had she said those things about him in her drunken state?

"Yes, she is," Tae-Joon told him with a blank expression on his face.

"She was very drunk and quite talkative, too," Brad said as he stood by the mirror to brush his hair.

The difference between them both was quite obvious now. Tae-joon's hair which was styled in a neat side part was darker than Brad's slicked-back undercut brown hair, Tae-joon's chin was cleanly shaven while Brad was spotting five o'clock shadows.

Tae-Joon frowned when he remembered Grace had been the first to inform him about the scandal, and she hadn't sounded like she was hung over. And if she had been the one Brad had been carrying, there was no way the news would have carried a headline of infidelity on his part.

"So, where is she? Since I'm guessing you spent the night together, and her credit card is in your room," Tae-Joon said.

"We didn't do anything together, that I can assure you. I met her at the rooftop of the club. She was drunk and wasn't making any sense, and I didn't know where to take her to. Hence I brought her here," Brad explained.

"And I think she probably woke up and ran off in embarrassment," Brad said, even though he didn't like the thought that she left that way. Would she remember the slight brushing of their lips? She had said it was her first kiss. Was it possible? He shook his head to get the thought off. He couldn't be thinking such thoughts in front of her fiance.

"I will just return this to her if you don't mind," Tae-Joon said, pocketing the credit card.

"What do you want to do about that? Besides, why is it an issue if she is your fiancee, and they're assuming you're the one in the picture?" Brad asked, pointing at Tae-joon's phone.

"Because the lady's face isn't obvious in the picture!" Tae-Joon pointed out.

"And I'm guessing your uptight self can't deal with being in the news over a case of infidelity," Brad said with a grin again. Where he came from, he was known for his flirty ways, and he would never have batted an eyelid over a piece of news like that.

"I'm organizing a press conference. I would love for you to be present and tell everyone you were the one at the club and not me," Tae-Joon said, choosing to ignore Brad's statement about him being uptight.

"Why do you owe them an explanation? Even if it was you, why do you have to explain yourself to anyone?" Brad asked with a frown. He wasn't the kind of man to ask for permission or give explanations. He did what he considered to be right and fair at all times.

"My grandfather expects me to correct this before it is blown out of proportion," Tae-Joon said.

"And now you're explaining to me, too, when you don't even have to. What is wrong with you, man? How can we look so alike and be so different?" Brad asked with a sigh.

"You don't understand. I need to fix this. So please, help me fix it. That's all I'm asking," Tae-Joon said, closing his eyes to ward off the headache that was starting to throb.

"Fine. When is the press conference starting?" Brad asked reluctantly.

"We could go over to the company right now if you don't mind," Tae-Joon said but was interrupted by the sound of the telephone at Brad's bedside.

"Excuse me," Brad said before picking up his telephone receiver.

"Hello! Brad Carter on the line," He said as a form of introduction.

"I'm Mrs. Shu. I learned you were searching for Ann Peters... You're from her maternal family, I guess?" Mrs. Shu said into the phone.

"Yes, please. Do you have any information concerning her whereabouts?" Brad asked, sitting down hurriedly and taking out a jotter and pen from the top of the bedside drawer.

"Well, I've been her guardian since her parents passed on. She currently works at Jiang Conglomerate. I think she should be at work at the moment," Mrs. Shu said excitedly. Judging by all Maggie had told her about her family. She was sure Ann would never be poor again if she reconciled with her family. And knowing Ann, she wouldn't forget them in her paradise.

"I guess any cab should be able to take me there?" He asked again.

"Yes, sure. They all know the direction," Mrs. Shu assured him.

"Can I get her contact details?" Brad asked.

"Sure, I'll just give it to you," Mrs. Shu said and called out the number while Brad jotted it down.

Brad disconnected the call after thanking her.

"I guess we will have to do your press conference when I get back. I have personal business to take care of," Brad told Tae-Joon as he dialed Ann's number on the telephone.

"Where are you going to? I could take you there, and after you deal with your business, we can deal with mine," Tae-Joon suggested.

"Excuse me," Brad said again when the line connected.

"Hello! I suppose this is Ann?" He asked when Grace took the call.

"Yeah. Who is asking?" Grace asked hesitantly.

"I'm Brad Carter. Your cousin from your maternal family. Where can I see you?" Brad asked.

"Oh! Brad!" Grace exclaimed, unsure of what to do or say.

"Yeah, Brad. Can I come over to your place of work?" He asked politely.

"Sure. Jiang Conglomerate. I will see you when you get here," Grace said and hung up immediately. Her heart was pounding rapidly as she hurriedly stood up to go inform Ann about the recent developments.

Brad dropped the telephone receiver and stood up to leave. "I really need to leave now. Let's talk some other---" Brad was saying and then stopped to look at Tae-Joon with a frown.

"How did you find me? And why did they allow you to come to my room so easily?" He asked, raising a brow.

"Because my family owns this hotel. Because the staff saw you yesterday and took note of the resemblance," Tae-Joon explained as he stood up to leave with Brad.

"So where are we going to?" Tae-Joon asked Brad.

"We?" Brad asked with a confused frown.

"Yes, we. I'm going with you so we can go over for the press conference when you're done," Tae-Joon explained. He wasn't willing to take chances with this opportunity to resolve things.

"Okay then. We are going over to Jiang Conglomerate!" Brad announced, making Tae-Joon cock his brow.

"Why?" Tae-Joon asked, dimming his eyes suspiciously. What was going on between Grace and him?

"I don't owe you any explanation. It's either you're coming with me or not," Brad said and held open the door for Tae-Joon to leave before him.

"Let's go," Tae-Joon said with a slight nod as he walked out of the room with Brad. He was going to find out what was going on between Grace and his doppelganger pretty soon.
