15 "Brad Carter."

Ann's mild headache had blossomed into a raging one by the time the girls left. She lay on her bed, weakly closing her eyes.

How she had managed to stand the girls, she couldn't tell. They were a replica of Grace in poor mannerism.

What was keeping Tae-Joon from calling her? She needed to speak with him about the marriage and also check on him. Her phone beeped, and she checked it. It was a message from Grace 'Have you asked my father?'

She needed to speak with Chairman Jiang, and it might be better if she visited the office. She changed into a green jumpsuit and walked outside.

"Are you going somewhere?" Zoe asked from the doorway.

"Yes, I thought I should stop by Chairman Jiang's office since I missed talking to him before he left," She said.

"You mean dad, I guess. Can I please come with you?" Zoe asked very politely.

"Sure. I'll appreciate your company, and if the meeting goes well, I'll take you to see my new personal assistant," She said with a smile. She was very certain Grace would be pleased to see Zoe even though Zoe wouldn't be able to recognize her.

"Great! I'll just change my clothes and meet you downstairs. How about I help you to pick a befitting outfit? The Paparazzi will go crazy if they see you looking anything other than Jiang Grace," Zoe said with a smile.

"Okay, let's get to it," Ann agreed and followed Zoe to the closet to pick out a pink-colored suit, pants, and a white blazer. They picked a white stiletto and a pink handbag to go with it.

After Zoe was satisfied with her sister's outfit and makeup, she rushed to her room to dress up.

When they got downstairs, Grace's driver was standing there waiting for them, and he looked at her in surprise when she asked him, "How're you?" He glanced from Grace to Zoe, wondering what was going on. He had heard the other household staff discussing it, but it was still new to him.

"I'm fine, ma'am. Where are we going to?" He asked after he opened the door for them to get in and then entered the car and turned on the ignition.

"To the company," Zoe piped in before Ann could speak. She didn't want her sister to embarrass herself further... She did not doubt that Grace would go livid if she regained her memory and found out how she had behaved.

Ann tried to rehearse what she was to say when she got to the office, so she kept mumbling to herself while the driver eyed her curiously through the rearview mirror.

"Keep your eyes on the road!" Zoe warned the driver harshly when she noticed he kept looking at Grace. Since Grace wasn't in the right state of mind to behave like herself, then she would help her out until her memory was restored.

"Don't be so harsh," Ann chided her in a soft voice making the driver look at her again. The accident had probably affected her brain, he concluded.

When they got to the office building, the driver hurriedly got down and held open the car door for them to get down. Ann thanked him with a polite nod before entering the office building.

As they made their way around the building, most of the company staff kept bowing to her as they walked past her, and she bowed in return until Zoe pinched her. "I was right to come with you. You can't bow to them, sis. A simple nod is acknowledgment enough," Zoe said with a sigh as they got into the elevator.

"Hello, Miss Grace, Miss Zoe," Chairman Jiang's secretary greeted them when she saw them.

Ann simply gave a brief nod without saying a word... She suddenly realized she would have been in a mess had she not brought Zoe with her. How would she have known the way to Chairman's office? Asking anyone around was out of the options as Grace was refusing to speak with her.

"Is our father available? We want to see him," Zoe said politely.

"Sure, I'll just tell him you're here," The secretary said and buzzed the Chairman's intercom. "Your daughters are waiting to see you," She said and nodded when he asked her to let them in.

"Thank you," Ann said, surprising the secretary as she entered the office.

"What are my girls doing here?" Chairman Jiang asked with a broad smile as he stood up from his office seat to lead them to the more comfortable sofa set in his office.

"She wanted to see you. I'll just look around the office while you talk," Zoe said before leaving them.

"How're you feeling, my princess? What do you want?" He asked her as they both took their seat, and Ann dropped her phone on the table.

"I want to hire a personal assistant!" Ann blurted out.

"That's beautiful. You've always relied solely on your own abilities and have always refused to have any form of assistance... We will set up an interview next week for interested people," Chairman Jiang said.

"No. I mean, no need for an interview. I have someone in mind for the job already," Ann corrected.

"But you, of all people, should know the company's policies. Even if you're hiring a personal assistant, it has to be done the normal way. And who is this person you want to employ?" Chairman Jiang asked curiously.

"Your daughter. Jiang Grace, but now Ann Peters," Ann answered honestly, making Chairman Jiang sigh wearily. He had thought they had passed this stage.. He really needed to speak to the doctor immediately.

"I'll think about it and give you my answer tomorrow if that's okay with you," He said.

Just then, her phone started ringing, and they both glanced at it. Chairman Jiang frowned when he saw that the caller's name on the screen was saved as Jiang Grace.

Seventy-five years old Rosalyn Carter sat on her wooden rocking chair as she spoke with her attorney on who and what she wanted to be stated on her will.

"How can you include her in your will if you don't know where she is? Didn't you disown her already?" Her middle-aged attorney Boyd Taylor said with a worried frown. Was old age clouding her sense of judgment? He wondered.

"She is my daughter regardless and deserves to be here regardless. We all have made our fair share of mistakes that we have been too proud to correct. I don't want to go to my grave without correcting mine. This is why I need you to help me find her," Rosalyn told her attorney.

"Why don't you tell Brad about it, seeing as he has always been here with you," Mr. Boyd said, referring to Rosalyn's grandson, Brad Carter.

"You know him, Boyd, he will never agree to this and might end up telling his parents about it, and you know how upset they were when Maggie eloped with that young man. I don't want them to try to discourage me from finding Maggie. It's been over twenty-seven years already. I want to see her before I die," Rosalyn pleaded with him.

He considered her for a while. He loved Rosalyn as he would his own mother and didn't want to see her get hurt. He couldn't do this without telling Brad else there would be hell to pay if Rosalyn ended up getting hurt or disappointed.

"I can't promise you anything, Rosie, but I will see what I can do about it," He told her.

"Leave the Will as it is. When I find her, I will make the necessary adjustments," Rosalyn pleaded.

"Whatever you say, Rosie. I'll be heading out now," Mr. Boyd said before walking out of the house with his briefcase in hand.

He was going to try his best, and if nothing came up, he would just have to tell Brad Carter about it.
