9 Chapter - 8
(Mia P.O.V)
“That’s just gonna have to wait a while
Ain’t got time for messin’ around
And it’s not my style
This old town can slow you down
People taking the easy way
But I know exactly where I’m goin’
Gettin’ closer and closer every day”
My alarm ring and I press the sneeze button. I was about to go back to sleep when my mother shouted at me.
“Mia Jain Mathis you whether get that lazy ass of yours out of your bed otherwise you going to be late for the first day of your office,” My mother shouts at me.
I got up fast and run to my closet to get ready not want to give a bad impression to my boss on the first day of my work. I decided to wear a white blouse and grey skirt which reach above my knees with black high heel shoes. I go and take a fast shower and get dressed for the office. I walk to my dresser and put light make up consist a light blush, eyes liner, and pink lip blam and walk out of my room to the kitchen with my purse, car key with a house key in it, and mobile in my hand.
I open the fridge and take an apple, water bottle, and groinal bar from it. I kiss my mother goodbye and drive to my office while eating my apple and run to my office.
As soon as I entered the office I heard an unknown voice called me. I turn to look at a blonde girl calling me while typing in the computer furiously.
“You finally come,” she said.
“Something wrong?” I ask her.
“The boss wants to talk to you,” she said finally looking at me.
“he wants to talk to me?” I ask and she only nodded her head while turning to her work again.
*Oh no is it because I’m late,* I thought and started freaking out.
“Yes, he wants to see you immediately,” she said.
“I understand I’m going now,” I said and run to his office.
*Why I have a bad feeling about this * I thought and about to open the door when he comes out while reading some papers.
“Mr. Nara,” I said startling him and all the paper fall out from his hands.
“Mia,” he said startled.
“Forgive me, Mr. Nara,” I said and kneel down to pick up all the fallen papers.
“Are you okay?” he asked kneeling down to help me.
“You finished the project I give you?” he asks getting up.
“Yes,” I said.
“So? you are the girl Ethan talked to me and the girl I expelled before days,” he asks.
“I’m sorry, I don’t want to annoy you by coming here for a second time,” I said to him.
“I shouldn’t let Ethan do this for me,” I said looking down at the ground like it was the most interesting thing in the world.
“No, you don’t need to apologize,” he said surprising me.
“Huh?” I ask confused.
“I am the one who should apologize to you because I didn’t give you the chance to talk to me, ” he said looking upset from himself.
“You don’t need to apologize you are the boss, and you can do whatever you want,” I said while blushing red while looking down at my shoes.
“I don’t agree with you a boss must be always fair towards their employees and apologizes when it’s needed,” he said with a smile making me speechless and stunned.
“Let me apologize to you by giving this post to you,” he said in a serious tone.
“I will do my best to never disappoint you,” I said to him.
“That’s what I hope, come with me I want to explain to you about our new project,” he said and we entered his office.
We were halfway into a discussion of our new project when suddenly the door open and Etan enters the office.
"Ethan," we both said in unison startled.
"Sorry I didn't want to interrupt," Ethan said while looking at us.
"Mia will be your helper for a short time, after that she will return to her new post," Mr. Nara said to Ethan.
"Really, that's great it will be fun to work with each other," Ethan said to Mr. Nara.
"Not for a long time because I am going to have my post and office soon," I said while smiling at him.
"Etan told me about your practice and I'm going to take care of it soon and Ethan you can show Mia this place and everything she needs, and help her as well," Mr. Nara said to me and Ethan.
"With pleasure," Etan said to him.
"You guys can leave now," Mr. Nara said to us going back to his work.
"Thank you, Mr.Nara," I said to him and both of us walk out of this office.
Ethan show me every important place like a cafe, his office, washroom, restroom, game room, etc. He explains the remaining project and told me what I have to do in this project and excuses himself.
After some time he comes back with two cups of coffee, I thanks him, and we get back to work. I enjoyed working with him. He keeps entertaining me between the work so that I don't get stressed and bored.
I look at my watch and see it's 7:15 and look at Ethan who is still working at his laptop.
"It's Late, I should leave now," I told to Ethan.
"I will drive you home," Ethan said to me.
"Don't worry I have brought my car," I said to him.
"Then I will drive with you, I have the same way to go anyway, wait here and I will be back soon," Ethan said and walk out of his office.
