14 Chapter - 13

(Mia P.O.V)

The next day I walk to the office and knock the door of Nate's cabin. But there is no answer so I entered the cabin to see him deep in thoughts.

"Mr. Nara?" I ask getting worried when he doesn't acknowledge my presence.

"Mia," he asks getting startled.

"I am sorry, I didn't -" I said but interrupted by him.

"It's okay, come in," he said while looking at me.

*Can I tell him about my scholarship now? or that I am gonna leave? is it the right time?* I thought while looking at him.

"What is it, Mia?" he asks getting impatient.

"Ummm nothing serious I just wanted to ask if you want something from me," I ask deciding not to tell him now about my scholarship because of his odd behavior.

"I don't need anything you can go now," he said harshly while looking at me. I wonder what's wrong with him?

"Okay," I said and about to leave but stopped by him.

"What is it?" I ask.

"It's for the rubbish, I don't need it here anymore," he said giving me a box.

"ok," I said taking a box from him and walk out of his room.

*He is behaving strange and looking sad and tired, I wonder what's bothering him,* I thought walking to my cabin. I let the

box in the table and get back to the work.

"Can I talk to you for a second?" a familiar voice asks and I turn to look Etan standing at the door of my cabin.

"Ethan?" I look at him shocked to see him here.

"I don't want to lose our friendship because I have a feeling for you," he said while looking down at the ground.

"Of course not, everything is okay between us," I said while smiling at him.

"Infect I was just thinking to come into your cabin after lunch and talk with you," I added.

"So we are on a good page, right?" he asks.

"yes, we are a good friend as long as you don't do anything stupid," I tease.

"You don't have to worry about it, I will never do something to make you angry," I said while smiling at her.

"You told Nate that you are going to leave right?" he asks.

"Not yet," I said in defeat.

"Not yet?" he asks shocked

"Maybe tomorrow," I said nervously. After talking for some time he left to do his work and I get back to my work. I look at

the clock to see it's 6:30 so I pack up my things and walks to Ethan office.

"I am leaving, it's already late," I said while peeking inside his office.

"Do you want me to walk you home?" he asks looking out of his laptop.

"Thank you, Ethan, but I can walk by my own," I said smiling at him and leaves.

"Welcome home sweetie," my mom said to me as soon as I enter my home.

"Hi mom," I said smiling at me.

"What is there in the box you are holding honey?" she asks when she notices the box Nate has given me today.

"My boss gives it to me saying it was for rubbish, but I forgot to throw it," I said looking down at the box.

"Do you want me to help you?" she asks.

"No, it's okay mom, I will see you at dinner," with that said I run off toward my room without waiting for her response. I was

taking stairs when the box from my hand slip away and falls down.

"Oh no, I am too clumsy," I said and started collecting the stuff when I saw his name's on his stuff.

"His stuff?" I ask my self and see toys on one stair.

*Are this his stuff and toys, but why did he want to throw it* I thought.

* Flashback *

"It's for rubbish, I don't need it here anymore," he said passing me a box.

* Flashback ends *

*He looks so sad...don't tell me that the baby* I thought and shake my head to throw that thought away.

"No Mia, don't think like that, but can it be possible?" I ask myself.

"Mia," my call me taking me out of the train of my thoughts.

"Yes mom," I said looking at her.

"Don't forget that today you have to go to the hospital for the medical check-up, " my mom reminds me.

"I don't remember why I have to do it," I ask with a frown.

"It's necessary before you go aboard," she said and then it clicks me.

"Okay mom I am gonna go now," I said walking to my room to put the box in my room then walk out to the hospital.

They take my blood, urine and do a full body check up. They said to come back after 2 days to take my reports from the

hospital.

After that, I walk to my home and have dinner with my mom while talking about random things. I have also decided to keep the stuff in the box with me so that I can use them when I have my own kids, they are too cute to throw away.
