12 Chapter - 11

(Nate P.O.V)

I was sitting in my office, working on my new tender when I heard someone knocking my door.

“Come in,” io said still looking at my laptop. I look up from my laptop to see Mia entering my office.

“Mia, why are you here? do you need something?” I ask while looking at her.

“No everything is fine,” she said examining her fingers.

“Dose something else happens?” I ask getting worried.

“Actually it’s about you,” she said shyly.

“About me?” I ask confused.

“Ethan told me that something happened to you and you mentioned about the baby,” she said looking at me.

*That idiot can’t keep his mouth shut even if his life depended on it, can he?* I ask myself.

“The baby is fine,” ‘and I hope it stays like that’ I thought.

“I am glad,” she said smiling at me making a smile come on my face. She was about to leave the office but I stop her in her way.

“Mia wait,” I said stopping her on her way.

“Yes, Mr. Nara?” she asks.

“Call me Nate please, and thank you for your concern,” I said smiling at her.

“No problem, I am glad that everything is okay,” she said while grinning at me from ear to ear.

“I know but thanks again,” I said with a smile.

“Never mind, but if you don’t mind can I know it’s a girl or boy,” she asks looking curious.

“It will be a boy of course,” I said smiling at her.

“Don’t tell me that you already know,” she said with a frown on her face.

“No, I just assume,” I said while screeching the back of neck nervously.

“And what if it’s a girl?” she asks.

“Girl,?” I ask.

“Yes, girl baby girls are so cute,” she said dreamingly.

“Hmm, you are right but mine will be a son,” I said with a smirk.

“I wish it too, I hope one day you have more than one, and I know you will be a great father,” she said and my smile

disappears suddenly.

“I would be happy if I had at least one, that would be enough with me, you know Mia, that,” I said lost in my own thoughts but cut off by her.

“Ethan has told me everything about you and what happens with you,” she said and her smile disappeared.

“Yeah the truth is that I get fully cured but not everything goes well in the end,” I said looking away.

“I believe that everything will go well in the end and you will soon have what you want,” she said cheering me up.

“You really are a magical creature Mia,” I said grinning at her.

“What? Really?” she asks shocked.

“I can’t explain it how every time I talk to you, you take all the stress away from me,” I said smiling at her.

“I feel like a different person when I talk to you and you are also an optimistic person,” I said while smiling at her.

“That’s because I always try to think positive,” she said smiling at me.

“I can see it,” I said smiling back at her. We keep talking about a random thing when suddenly the door of my office open.

“Mia? so you are here?” Ethan asks entering my office.

“Ethan?” she asks while looking at him.

“I should leave now, it was nice talking to you,” she said to me and walk out of my office.

“So she was here,” he asks like an idiot he was.

“Yes she was here, and so what?” I asks annoyed with the fact that he interrupted us.

“She is an amazing person isn’t she?” he asks.

“Do you have something to tell me Ethan?” I ask not answering his question.

“I am very curious to know what you both talk about?” he asks.

“She wanted to asks how are the things with the baby?” I said going back to my work.

“Oh I wanted to ask the same thing, I was worried so much yesterday,” he said to me.

“The baby is fine,” I said typing furiously on my laptop.

“Yesterday you looked very shocked, I wonder if something else happened,” he said looking at me curiously.

“Nothing happened everything is okay,” I said looking at him.

“Glad to know that, I will go to my office now if you need something then call me,” he said smiling at me.

“thank you, Ethan,” I said to him.

“Your welcome, see you later then,” he said walking out of my office.

“Finally,” I said with a sigh of relief.

“I thought he will never leave,” I said and shake my head at him.

*I wonders what’s wrong with him? did he like Mia?* I thought.

“Maybe it’s my imagination, anyway why did I care,” I thought and get back to my work.

Meanwhile, Karin runs to the hospital.

“Karin,” the doctor asks shocked to see her.

“The baby?” she said in pain while holding her stomach with her hands and doctor look down to see her bleeding.

“Oh, no doctor she is bleeding, maybe there is a possibility to lose the baby,” the nurse said to the doctor while taking her in

an emergency room.

“Oh no, I must call Nate,” Doctor runs out of the room to call him while others operate her.

“We are, really sorry doctor but we can’t able to save the baby,” the nurse said to the first doctor when he enters after calling Nate.

“Oh no, Nate will be devasted when he comes to know about this,” he said and goes to check on her.

(Anna P.O.V)

I was pacing around my room waiting for the call to know the good news.

"Tring Tring," my phone rang and I pick it up without checking the caller ID.

"Hello Mrs. Nara, your work is done," the voice another side of the phone said to me.

"What about the baby?" I ask.

"It's no more, doctor unable to save it," the voice said.

"Good, come and take your money at Bake and bakery cafe tomorrow at 12:00 pm in the afternoon," I said and hang up the phone.

"Now nobody can take him away from me, nobody," I said to myself grinning evilly from ears to ears.
