11 Chapter - 10

(Mia P.O.V)

"Good night Mr.nara," I said when I saw him running out of his office but he just ignored me and run away to the elevator.

*He ignored me* I thought shocked.

"Mia," Etan said startling me.

"Etan is something wrong with him?" I ask him, getting worried about my boss.

"He had a call and he left in hurry, I heard it's something about the baby," he explains.

"The baby? oh no, I hope everything is fine," I said getting worried about him remembering how happy he was when he

knows that he is going to be a father.

"I hope it to, come on let's go it late already," he said and we get out of the office.

It's taken us 30 minutes to reach home. I bid him goodbye and enters my home.

"Welcome back young lady," my mom said while sitting on a dining table drinking coffee.

"Mom? you aren't asleep yet?" I ask taking my shoes out of my legs.

"I was waiting for you, do you know that you are late?" she asks.

"I was too busy with work today that I forgot to see what time it was," I said putting my shoes in a shoe rack.

"And what about the young man that walk you here? a new friend?" she asks raising her perfect eyebrow at me.

"Umm If you mean Ethan I already know him, " I said stretching my stiff body.

"He is Ethan Dobriyal and he is working in this city now," I added and walk to the fridge to have some water and to find something to eat.

"I don't remember your old friend," she said with a frown.

"But I am happy that my daughter is dating someone who knows him well," my mother said smiling at me, making me chock on my water.

"dating? what are you talking about?" I ask while pouting at her.

"What do you say if your mother asks you to bring him here for lunch or dinner?" she asks with a smile ignoring my question.

"Meet him? are you crazy? I am not dating that idiot," I said in an angry voice.

"He is just a friend," I added while taking a sit on the dining table.

"And why not?" she asks.

"because I feel nothing for him," I said in a duh tone.

"Okay but you can bring him like a friend, I really want to meet him," she said in a firm voice.

"If you are afraid that one day I am going to fall for him and he will leave me with a child, then you don't have to worry about it, what happens to you will never going to happen with me," I said to her in an assuring voice.

"And remember that I am 23, I am not a child and can take care of myself, and stop behaving like that whenever you saw me with my friends," I said in a firm voice.

"It's for your own good Mia, I am your mother so I want to protect you," she said in a stern voice.

"I can protect myself and forgive me but I am tired," I said standing up from my chair and cleaning my plate.

"This is not over young lady," she said when she saw me leaving but I just ignored her. How dare she thought like that about me.

I take my sleeping clothes out and walk to the washroom to get fresh and get into the cover. I tried to sleep but it didn't come to me.

"I hope my mother stop bugging me about it," I thought while turning and tossing in my bed.

"Nate, I hope he was okay, but why was I thinking and worried about him," I thought and then shake my head to get that thought out of my mind.

But his thoughts come back to me like a magnet attracting iron. No matter how many times I tried to remove him from my mind but it all goes in vail.

*Stop thinking like this about him, he is fucking married Mia,* I thought and started counting sheeps to take my mind away from him and I can sleep peacefully.
