13 Not an Ordinary School

As all of the students, especially the freshmen, listened to the brief history of Mystic Academy, they were now more curious than ever to learn more that is to it about the academy.

As Professor Gertrude continued to talk, Professor Samuela and Zann had arrived in the main lobby after disappearing for 20 minutes.

Professor Samuela sat on her seat at the front with the other professors while Zann sat back down in front of Elenea, making her look at him from the corner of her eye.

'He seems to feel better now,' she thought as they listened to Professor Gertrude speak.

"Mystic Academy has been around even before our time. It has been founded by our great Headmaster Gavin and since then, he had been shaping the academy for every mage! Of course, the academy has a great goal which is..."

"To eradicate the evil forces that go against the existence of humanity!"

Professor Gertrude nodded with pride when she heard all the old students answer in unison. She then grinned from ear to ear as she continued talking about the academy.

"As you all know, everyone is to study in the academy for four years. The moment you turn 18, a mage is invited to enroll in the academy and it is essential to do so for each mage to learn more about his or her magic and control them to unleash their true potential!"

The professor then looked at her fellow professors then smiled as she continued speaking.

"Now I shall introduce to you the professors who will help you on your journey during your stay in Mystic Academy."

Professor Gertrude walked to the tables as she called the other professor's names one by one. The professors stood as they were being introduced to the students.

"Of course, you already know Professor Samuela. She is the head of the Peculiari class and she teaches about mystical beasts found in our magical realm—invisible to the human eyes. She has the power to tame beasts and control them at her command."

Professor Samuela bowed as the students clapped and cheered. The students in Peculiari class were especially loud as they stood and gave their professor a standing ovation.

Curious, Aranea leaned in closer to Vayne and asked him a question, "Is Professor Samuela all that great?"

"Oh, yeah, she is," he proudly answered as he clapped his hands. "Despite her weird voice contradictory to her seductive looks, she treats everyone in Peculiari class with love as if she were our mother! She's not one to be underestimated, too!"

'Wow!'

Aranea clapped her hands louder as she admired their professor from afar.

"Next, we have Professor Neesha. She is the head of the Communia class and she teaches Alchemy. For her magic, she can transfer her consciousness to your body, making her control the person she possessed."

Professor Neesha stood up. She wore a typical witch's outfit, her brown hair tied into a bun. She smiled at everyone as they, especially the students in Communia, howl and cheer for her, making her smile more.

"The head of the Magna class, Professor Kurken. He teaches Magic Control and his power is indeed one that cannot be underestimated! With the help of his brush and pen, he can make his work come to life and fight for him in the beck of his call!"

Professor Kurken stood up then he gave the students a smile and a wink. Everyone clapped their hands and cheered, especially the girls and the students in Magna class.

The professor had exceptionally good looks paired with his great magic, which made him a popular teacher.

Most of the boys, however, find him obnoxious...

"Next, Professor Noir. He is the head of Invicta class and he teaches Defense Against Magic. As for his magic, he can nullify most of the magic, making him immune to most of them.

Even though he can nullify most of the magic, it doesn't mean that he is invincible. He is a great fighter and he can advise each student the best defense that goes perfectly with their magic."

Professor Noir stood up, everyone clapping as he gave them a small bow. He has blackish-purple hair and mysterious silver eyes that complimented his perfect red lips.

He is handsome, indeed... but he holds a great enigmatic aura that intimidates most of the students, making them quiet under his presence.

Even the students in Invicta class were lowkey as they clapped for their respective head professor.

"Next, we have Professor Grisham. He is the oldest professor in the academy and teaches Artifacts and Treasury. For his magic, he can create illusions once you lock eyes with him. He can either take you to paradise—or he can either let you experience hell himself."

The moment Professor Grisham stood up, everyone cheered loud, making most of the students in every class stand as they clapped and shouted loudly for him, making the middle-aged professor scratch the back of his head and smile at them widely.

"My, my! Even this old man can get this many fans!"

"Of course, Professor Grisham!"

With that, even the other professors clapped and smiled as he bowed a few times in front of the students in gratitude.

"Why is he famous?" Elenea asked Zann, making him roll his eyes at her, uninterested... but he still answered her.

"He is a very good professor as he can teach any class. He loves teaching Artifacts and Treasury, though. He is also fatherly as any student can come to him for help and he will do so without hesitation."

"Ah... nice indeed," Elenea smiled as Zann just looked at the professor from afar, a small smile that was unnoticed by the others appearing on his face.

'He is... he took care of me.'

"And last but not least, you already know me. I am Professor Gertrude, and I am also the second oldest teacher who has taught long in this academy.

I teach History and Secrets—a subject which should not be taken lightly as it can help with how you know yourself and your magic! It is not a boring subject, mind you," she said and joked, making the students laugh and clap as she introduced herself.

"Don't worry, Professor Gertrude! We love you!"

Hearing the students' cheers and encouragement, the middle-aged woman chuckled as she hid her laugh behind her hand, feeling warm inside.

As Aranea and Elenea looked at the professors in front of them and with their introductions, they grew more interested in their stay here in the academy.

It made them realize that Mystic Academy is indeed not an ordinary school that humans can attend to.
