Max took a seat next to Liz and narrowed his eyes at her. "How long was I gone? You managed to make friends and get me into trouble?"

"Not trouble. Bet. This is a bet.", Liz explained with an earnest expression on her face and she started talking quickly: "They asked me why I'm waiting for you and I said that you are worth waiting for, because you are perfect. They didn't believe me that you are perfect, and I said that there is nothing you are not good at, and then they said how they are good at the pool and I said that you are better and… here we are... with a bet."

Max blinked. How can she make such a bet when she never saw him playing a game of pool before? And there was another thing… "What are the stakes?"
