13 Lunch

"Well, what do you want to eat?" Chloe said to Emily.

"Do you just want to grab some Auntie Anne's?"

"How about we share some pretzel bites? I'm not all that Hungry."

"Sure, that sounds good. Be right back." Emily and Chloe were sitting at a small table for two in the mostly empty food court. Once they found out what they wanted, Emily got up and walked across the court to the Auntie Anne's pretzel stand. It only took her a few minutes to get the food and walk back to the table.

"Here you go." Emily set a bottle of water and a few napkins in front of Chloe. Then she sat down and placed the cup of pretzel bites in the middle of the table. She had also gotten herself a bottle of water and napkins.

"You got salted pretzel bites?" Chloe tilted the cup towards her to inspect the pretzels.

"Are those okay?" She looked concerned. Then she drooped her head to the left slightly. "Do you not like them? I can go get new ones...If you want."

"I'm just messing with you. They're perfect- my favorite actually." She put the cup back to normal and crossed her legs. Then she rubbed her hands together and grabbed a pretzel bite. "And this is why I wore stretchy sweatpants."

"Are you kidding? Even if you did gain any weight from these, you'd still look perfect." She blushed and didn't even realize it.

"Thanks... You're not to bad yourself." When Chloe said this Emily got even more red. She looked up from the table and met Chloe's gaze. She began to look over her face. "What? Is there something on my face?"

"Nothing." She looked back down at the table, then glanced quickly at Chloe, who had just gone back to enjoying her food.

Now both girls had their phones out and were looking at them below the table. At the same time, they reached for a pretzel bite. Instead, they ended up toughing each other's hands.

"Heh, sorry." Chloe said. They both turned away and blushed before finishing their food and exiting the mall.
