9 Career talk

Emily and her grandmother began searching for part time jobs later on that week. They began by looking in the newspaper for job ads. Emily's grandmother found an ad for a dishwasher in a diner a couple blocks from their apartment, while she ended up getting a job at a local laundry mat. While her grandmother worked 6 hours a day, Emily only worked a couple different shifts throughout the week.

The total of their weekly salaries was just short of $1,000. It only took them a couple of weeks to make enough money to take care of the overdue bills. Within the next few months, they had enough money for Emily's therapy sessions.

Emily had also caught up on all of her schoolwork, and was close to getting her grandmother her own apartment.
