Some proclaim it as the quintessence of absolute void, while others conjecture it as an endless expanse of obsidian darkness and profound silence. Even the omnipotent Gods, for all their celestial wisdom, lack definitive comprehension. They acknowledge its ominous existence, a paradoxical reverence born out of awe and trepidation. This unfathomable Abyss resides at the fringes of their understanding, a dark truth they both venerate and dread. Now, imagine their reaction when this same Abyss, their enigmatic deity of dread, elects a host, a mortal who would become its embodiment, its ambassador. This chosen one, an entity who possesses the potential to decipher the encrypted secrets of the Abyss. And remarkably, this chosen vessel is but a teenager. In a world relentlessly besieged by malevolent creatures that crawl out from arcane portals leading to alien dimensions, humanity has been driven to the precipice of annihilation. These magical gateways spawn monstrous nightmares, painting a grotesque landscape of horror and despair. In such a formidable and savage universe, where does Xale, our protagonist, find his footing?
