"They don't seem to like us very much" I spoke to Danton as soon we left Virtus.

"We are just outsiders taking away part of the job and also reward, so I can't really blame them. But we just do this because every work is sent to the largest guilds and none come to us, even though we are as capable as they are"

"As capable as you were last time?

"That was unexpected, even for the members of the guild it would be hard!"

"I know I know, just saying... I kind of admire you guys for having the courage to found your own guild, it's just that I think you need to slow down a bit. Your friend just got hurt, and you already took another job"

"I have no other choice, the payment of the job was only 100 silver coins. Half went to Virtus, so we only have 50 silver coins to pay the healer and survive until get paid again" Danton spoke frustrated with the results.

(100 bronze coins = 1 silver coin / 100 silver coin = 1 gold coin)

"Okay okay, let's go back to your friend then"

--At the medical facility--

Rudolph was on one of the beds while Claire was placing cold cloths on his head in an attempt to reduce the fever.

Danton spoke with the healer, and he asked for 60 silver coins to heal his leg, Danton took out his small wallet and argued with the healer until he accepted only 58 silver coins. And just like that the healer put his hand near Rudolph and an orb of light formed around his hand passing to Rudolph, the wound started to close at the same moment and just seconds later the hole was closed with only a scar in place.

"That's it?" I asked.

"Yes, the fever will stop soon, and he will be fine. Now leave!" The healer answered.

With some difficulty, we carried Rudolph to the wagon and put him on the floor.

"It's getting late, we don't have any money at all to sleep in an inn. We should head to our Guild headquarters" Danton spoke with a smile on his face.

"Is there no coin left again?" Claire asked.

"No, but trust me, next time will be better" He once again spoke with a smile.

Claire looked upset but would not leave her friend suffering.

We headed to the guild headquarters, and it was just a corner in the street where the guards didn't patrol, and he put a sign "Hjmar Guild" on the wagon. We slept there, but it had only space for one person lying down and that was Rudolph, so we just fell asleep sitting there.

--In the Next Day Morning--

I woke up in a very uncomfortable position, during the night everyone lay down somehow so we were just lying on top of each other sleeping.

At the moment I got up to leave the wagon, the shirt they gave me got stuck in a loose piece of wood from the wagon and tore.

"Oh shit, they probably are going to be mad about this" I said to me.

'I'm used to getting up early, but these guys... look like they're going to sleep for a long time yet. Since I am in the city, maybe I should go to the evaluator in the city center to see how much I improve in these four years'

I walked for an hour before finding the center of the city, and there was a long line this time.

"This will take a while" I spoke to myself while entering the line.

'It's a little strange to have all my clothes torn in the middle of so many people, maybe I should have asked for another shirt from Danton or Rudolph before coming here...'

Once it came my time the evaluator looked at me and said.

"This isn't your first time kid, I can see here that you already were evaluated with no skill at all. It's pointless to check you again!

"I know I know, but couldn't you check it anyway?" I answered.

"You are wasting my time kid, look at the number of people right there, every day I have to deal with people like you who can't accept what I say"

"Just do it, if I have no skill again then I promise to never come back!"

"You better keep that word"

I remained still while he looked at me, even with the mask I could see that once he finished the expression on his face abruptly changed.

"Rank D Physical Ability and Rank C Magic Ability" The evaluator spoke with a loud voice that made everyone around be silent.

Until it started.

"A mage here?

"He must be wrong about this!"

"And he is just a kid, look at him"

"Don't insult him, he may want to kill us in retaliation!"

"He has physical ability as well, what is this? Must be some kind of mistake!"

Everyone started talking and the loud crowd of before became even louder.

'The old man was right, I am a mage! and rank C already.... maybe as strong as the old man now!'

"Please wait here Sir, I need to inform the Marquis Ranseur" The evaluator spoke while running towards the largest building that was in front of the square.

--On the balcony of one of the highest buildings in the city center--

A magnificent woman with burnt scars all over the body wearing a red robe adorned with gold and blue sapphires looked at me and said.

"Interesting... I had the feeling that I would see something different today, but was not thinking of something like this."

"My lady? You are talking about the mage right there? Every year some of these appear, there is nothing new in that" A man with green heavy armor spoke.

"Yes, but this one is different"

"How can you tell?"

"I have a feeling!"

"If you say so, I will send some people to keep an eye on him for you Layren"

"Go in person and keep an eye on him!"

"Are you sure about that? I could just send some spies..."

"Are you questioning my orders?"

"No my lady, now if you excuse me. I am going to fulfill your request" The man spoke while leaving the place.

"This is going to be fun!" The woman spoke to itself.

--At the same time in the city center--

The crowd started to get bulkier and approach me demanding things that I am not able to do.

I tried to leave the place, but the more time passed the bulkier the crowd became, the moment I was going to use shadow evasion I saw Rudolph pushing everyone on the way making space for me to leave.

Once we get out of the crowd I saw Danton and Claire.

"You made some fans?" Danton asked.

"Haha I don't think so" I answered

"When I woke up I imagined that you had abandoned us" Claire spoke while hugging me.

"Yes yes, you had to see her crying about just a minute ago" Danton spoke.

"HEY, shut up!" Claire spoke while punching Danton on the shoulder.

"I think we need to leave now!" Rudolph said while pushing us in the opposite direction of the crowd.

Rudolph was almost tall as Fulgence, but he had only leather armor and was not in good condition just like the rest of us.

'These people remind me of my family somehow'

"I was not going to leave, if you guys want I could join your guild..." I spoke while starting to run back to the wagon with them.

"Welcome to Hjmar then" Danton spoke with a smile while he was running.

"Thanks for accepting me"

Everyone smiled at me, and we keep running away from the crowd.
