18 Undead Goblin Army

--Gremory Point of View--

"Claire, shoot the goblins carrying the torches. Everyone even if you don't see them stick to the plan that I said before, they'll come to you as soon as Claire starts shooting" I spoke quickly while moving to the position.

There were 27 goblins in there, 3 big goblins, and the rest are just small goblins with five of them carrying torches.

Claire hit one of the small goblins carrying torches, and they quickly started running towards her. Before they could reach her, she managed to kill another 2 goblins with torches making everything a lot darker than before.

Once they came close enough, they were surprised by Rudo with the hammer, before they could act, the other 2 were crushed. Danton also waited for the right moment and jumped in one of the big goblins, hitting him in the back, but it wasn't enough to kill him, his blades crossed and the goblin managed to hit him a few times but only superficially on the skin. Once Claire was far enough, she killed another small goblin with a torch, and then I came in.

I was closing position with the last goblin with a torch and as soon I reach him, he died in an instant with the swing of my crooked staff.

Even though it was not molded into a blade, the heat emitted by the crooked staff was enough to pass through the goblin's skin like butter.

And then complete darkness came.

I open my shell to manipulate the dark energy on the dead bodies, the warm sensation comes to me, but before the bodies turn into dust I say.

And seven goblins rise once again from the ground but with another master this time.

"Kill every goblin here!"

Two goblins were now supporting Rudo, one of the goblins manage to hit the back of the big goblin fighting Danton and killing him in place and I decide to make them tremble in chaos.

Instead of killing stragglers or those closest to me, I decided to start with the middle ones. Every time I feel the warm sensation I just say Gremory once again and every dead goblin once again rises from the ground.

I could feel the fear of them for being in the darkness and having to fight their dead friends, and I feel so alive.

Most of the goblins are just rank E and just three of them are Rank D, so reviving everyone was possible this time. Yet, don't know how much mana it cost.

Once the fight is over I can see Danton, Rudo, and Claire close to each other in battle position.

"Relax guys, they obey me" I speak trying to calm them down as I approach.

"You can control everyone who dies like that?" Rudo asked.

"From what I saw until now, it depends on how much mana I have. By doing this I used a good portion of my mana but I don't know exactly how much, so I am going to try to avoid battle from now on. Besides, I have a new plan!"

"What plan? To send these ones to kill their own kind until there is no one left?" Danton asked scared.

"Pretty much, using their numbers against them is not a big deal. Also, they can't see without light, but my goblins can. So I will need your help to kill every goblin that is carrying a torch"

"What you are doing is not cool Gremory!" Claire spoke impatiently.

"We would kill them anyway, this way is just easier, and it will probably work" Danton said to Claire.

"I will help with one condition, once we finish this, you are going to release them!" Claire spoke.

"I will, there is no much gain in maintained an army of goblins and having no mana to back me up..." I replied without caring too much.

"But how we are going to find the other groups now?" Rudo asked while lighting one of the torches left on the floor again.

I think I know where they are, one of the groups at least...

'I can feel it, I cal feel dark energy coming from nearby. They must be killing people around here'

"Follow me!"

The party and the 27 goblins followed behind me, after 15 minutes of running we reached an intersection where a caravan was being attacked.

Quickly guys, kill every goblin you see, Claire you must shoot every lamp or goblin with a torch around here.

I stayed behind to save my mana and started reanimating every goblin that died there until I reached my limit with four goblins of rank D and 32 goblins of rank E. Also, seven goblins of rank E died in the fight.

'Counting the dead goblins, I got a total of 40 goblins of rank E and 4 goblins of rank D, but I can reanimate only two rank C with only a little mana left... It would be good if the reanimated goblins that died in the battle also return my mana stock, but they don't.'

The other group had a total of 35 goblins, but they also died quickly when Claire managed to shoot every source of light.

I left my shell open and absorbed every dead goblin that was not reanimated.

'They are good, but I got sick of the taste of goblins, I wonder if it would be a problem to absorb the dead humans too... Wait, I didn't realize but since when does it taste? I don't think it was like this before'

'Maybe this is because of the number of goblins I eat today or maybe for other reasons? Whatever the case the ability to select really makes it a lot easier. But if I lose my concentration I'll probably end up absorbing everything ahead like before...'
