The cold was immense, but everyone managed to swim back to the glacier with the adrenaline they had left from the descent of the mountain.
'It must be a joke, fire mages dying of cold...'
"Hey, maybe you guys could use some of your magic?" I spoke, since we are all soaked in a colder place than before.
"Yeah genius, why not set fire on ourselves, so we don't have to die of cold" Luther spoke making fun of my idea.
"No Luther, we can do that, just like Xander did before." Yuno spoke while a warm breeze emanated quickly drying her body and clothes.
"Yes, just focus on the path of the flames and let it flow through your body." Xander spoke while doing the same as Yuno.
Mary, Kiel, and Luther seeing this decided to try.
Mary was very exhausted and couldn't even use her ability. Luther almost set himself on fire in the process, but the sea breeze quickly dealt with what little he was able to conjure.
In the meantime Kiel stood with his eyes closed without saying anything, completely focused even on the moment when Luther almost burned himself.
Sparks appeared here and there until the same warm aura formed around his body.
'I thought Kiel would be the one who would not be able to do it.'
"Good one Kiel." Mary spoke while tapping him in the back.
Luther seeing this, tried again, but the result was the same as before.
"Fuck this, I can do better, I am just too tired" Luther yelled at everyone.
'Maybe this is not a test, just a fire control class. Learn or die trying...'
Xander and Yuno decided to use their mana to dry Luther, Mary, and me.
We also decided to get as far away from the sea as possible due to the breeze coming from it.
Yuno, Kiel, and Xander have increased their aura to include people around whom have not been able to do the same, and we walked for some hours trying to find shelter.
But everyone was more than 24 hours without eating, so the exhaustion was already reaching its limit. The first person to give in was Kiel, followed by Yuno and then Xander.
Fortunately, we reached the massive rock on which we almost died, and we protected ourselves from the breeze that came from behind.
'So this is starvation, if I don't kill I will be just like them soon.'
Everyone sat behind the rock while the snow slowly covered us, there was no living being around to eat, so everyone started to accept their destiny.
"I knew that we had been discarded, I knew it." Luther spoke with his hands shaking around his knees, his frozen lips bleeding from the simple movement made to speak those words.
Nobody answered, they just stared at each other in silence.
'I think I owe them the courtesy of waiting, as soon as they pass out I kill them and keep looking for the way back to civilization.'
'That's what being kind is, right? At least I tried to help them, old man.'

---At the same time, Vendryt Point of View---
Vendryt got out of his bathtub and took the globe that was on a bench.
"It's almost time for dinner." He spoke to himself.
He goes to the castle dungeon and after a few minutes down the stairs, he arrives at a heavily armed place.
He enters the dungeon and reaches a small room in the middle of the way. He opens the door with a key that was stuck in his necklace.
Despite being just a small room in the hall. When he opens the door, a bridge made of massive rock with at least 50 meters long is in front of him.
Vendryt starts walking across the bridge while looking around.
The place itself made him question the reality.
'I hate to come here, the founder could at least have made a handrail...'
The place just seemed like an illusion that extended to infinity, the bottom and the ceiling extended far beyond what the light was capable of reaching, making the place bright but at the same time dark. There were several other bridges around, on all sides, with even some upside down.
The passageway was so large that there simply seemed to be no end up, down and sides.
As soon as he reached the end of the bridge, the wall in front of him opened into a huge room with a rune in the middle of the floor and on the ceiling. Next to the rune were several globes just like the one he was holding.
He placed the snow globe in the middle of the rune that was drawn in the room and spoke.
"Yert Putm Yul Gower Kamus."

---Gremory Point of View---
'WHAT?'
A door appeared out of nowhere on our side, just like the door we entered.
As I look around I realize that they are all already unconscious.
'I could just kill them here and then say that they didn't survive, there wouldn't be any traces and there's no one watching...'
"Guys wake up, we can finally leave" I spoke while dragging them to the door.
'What the hell am I doing?'
Kiel and Mary didn't wake up, so after opening the door I threw them on the other side while the rest of the group staggered to the exit.
"So everyone survived haha, it's been a while since the last time this happened. Congratulations, you all will have dinner tonight!" Vendryt spoke while watching us come back by the door.
'Old bastard, I swear that one day I will kill him.'
Yes yes, a lot of details, I want the scene to come to life as I imagine it.
