12 New Friends?

I am able to see magic in a fight for the first time.

It's just majestic!

Or at least it was what I expected...

The water stream flowed from inside a cave and just in front of the cave, they were fighting.

Three humans warriors fighting against goblins!

The old man taught me a lot of monsters and non-humans, and goblins are just the bottom of the monsters.

But the scene in front of me was the opposite of what I was expecting.

One warrior was already bleeding on the ground, the archer was running from goblins and someone was trying to protect the bleeding warrior on the ground without even having a shield.

It is just a complete mess.

'Usually, only adventurers are sent to fight monsters, so why are they losing?'

At that moment to my surprise, one of the goblins summoned an ice spear and launched it towards the warrior who was still standing.

The goblin in question was a little taller than me, used a robe made of cloth and it had a strange wooden staff.

'He must be a Shaman Goblin, these guys are very unlucky'

A usual goblin is just an easy monster to fight, they usually don't live long, either because of fights between themselves, animals in the forest, or because they cause problems on some road and someone puts a contract on their heads.

Moreover, if one of these goblins survives long enough, it first becomes strong enough to be compared to a rank D warrior, and then in old age, he can become versed in magic. Nothing too strong, usually it has just one or two spells.

Yet, it's very rare to see one.

'The last battle I froze in place, and that cost a lot for the old man. Never again!'

I again wrap myself in the shadows until my shell is formed and start to run in the direction of the battle with Carine and Fulgence by my side.

'I may be able to absorb the Shaman and become even stronger if I kill him, but first I won't let these guys die. Carine helps the human archer while Fulgence attracts the Agro of the Shaman. You don't need to attack back Fulgence, just avoid any attack from him'

(Agro: Attract the enemy's attention, become the focus of attacks, etc.)

There are five small goblins with small blades chasing the archer, and the other ten small goblins protecting the Shaman while he attacks the warrior who is defending his hurt friend.

As we get close, everyone started to notice us.

"Oh shit, more monsters" The archer scream.

'What? Monsters? Oh, I forgot about the appearance of my dead friends'

"Calm down, we are here to help!" I scream back to her.

"If you want to help just kill these bastards, we can't hold any longer!" The other warrior said while he avoided another ice spear from the Shaman.

The spear itself was not long, something like 20 cm, but the problem was the launch speed.

Once Fulgence got near the Agro of the Shaman, he just started to run in non-uniform circles to avoid the spells. By doing this, the warrior manage to grab his friend and started to run away with him.

'Okay, so it's time to fight'

"Bring me all you got" I scream for the goblins.

Fulgence has the Agro of the Shaman and their minions while managing to avoid all the spells launched at him

'It will be easier if I kill the small goblins before attacking the Shaman'

I have only the stick from before, so I swing the stick and activate shadow impulse aiming one of the goblins on my front. Tearing the goblin from neck to belly.

'Wow, that's quite strong'

Seeing this, all the globins decided to attack at the same time. Fortunately, they were scattered running after Fulgence to be able to attack me at once.

I use shadow impulse again and again as more goblins reach me, these goblins die quickly with only one attack, so it's an easy fight.

Using five shadow impulse was enough to kill another five small goblins, but now the other four are close enough to fight back.

As expected, they attack together but out of sync.

In a short distance like this, it would be nice to use a blade, but as I only have a stick I have no choice but to use shadow impulse again.

But at the moment I swing my stick trying to activate shadow impulse again, nothing happens.

'Ohh, I totally forgot that I used all my skills a few hours back to test my limits...'

And then, the goblin blade reaches my stick, breaking him in two and hitting my face.

The cut went through my face from chin to forehead, but it wasn't deep.

"You bastard!" I spoke.

And when another goblin was going to attack, an arrow reaches his head, and he falls to the ground dead.

I look back to see where this arrow came from, and I see the human archer on the side of Carine who had already killed the goblins as instructed and was now standing like a statue waiting for the next command.

The old man's words started to resonate in my head "Power without experience is nothing"

'You're right old man, let's do your way then. Carine starts shooting at the Shaman Goblin, Fulgence don't lose your Agro. You need to start punching him too, but try not to get hit!'

And again another goblin swings his blade towards me, I try to use shadow evasion but in vain since there is no mana left.

"Shit"

But the goblin blade is defended by the warrior blade from before.

"You came back" I speak surprised by his sudden arrival.

"Of course I came back, just left to take my friend to a safe place" He replied.

And with another swing of his sword, the same goblin died without leaving the place.

However, one of the others goblins tries to attack him, but its blades collide and the goblin is destabilized leaving a free opening.

Seeing this, the warrior quickly uses this opening to swing his sword once more killing the goblin with one blow.

"Just one more" I speak while picking up one of the blades left on the floor by the dead goblins.

And then another arrow coming from the human archer hit the chest of the last small goblin.

"Now we need to kill that fu***** Shaman" The warrior said to me.

But when we look back, the Shaman is already dying by multiple arrows launched by Carine.
