1 Prologue - An Abysmal Sorcerer
In a bar lit only by candlelight, two warriors sat blissfully together and drank to their heart's content. One of the two noticed a man with a greatsword come into the bar and placed his glass down on table.
"Hey, have you heard the rumors about that new ranker that emerged recently?"
The other, much burlier man placed down his glass and wiped his beard. "There are loads of rankers that appear everyday. How am I supposed to know who you're trying to talk about?"
"No no, this guy is being talked about everywhere on the forums. It's not unlikely that you've seen at least something about him."
The burly man stroked his beard and thought for a moment before realizing who his friend was talking about. "Oh! Are you talking about that weird swordsman? My favorite streamer Alice, was talking about him the other day."
"Well... I've heard that guy doesn't just use a sword."
"So what? I've seen loads of guys dual wield weapons or use shields."
"Yeah, but this guy's style of fighting is a bit different. He switches from using swords to spears, then bows, then knuckles. I've even heard a rumor that he might be the first Legendary class user."
"You're kidding right? Legendary weapons are so rare that only 1% of the top players actually have one and yet you're talking about a legendary class USER?" The burly man didn't believe what his friend was saying.
"I didn't exactly believe it either until I saw this video. Here, I'll whisper it to you."
After opening the video, the burly man was stunned. "H-how can he even do that?" The person filming the video was hiding in a bush. They watched as a user wearing a cloak was single-handedly taking on a world boss.
"I know right! He changes weapons in an instant without even opening his inventory. He's faster than most talented pros are at item swapping."
"I'm not talking about that."
"Huh?"
The burly man pointed to the user in the video. "Can't you realize? This guy is sololing a world boss! How hard do you think it is for a single user to do that alone!"
"Wow... you're right. How many people do we know that can do that?"
"It's zero dumbass. That's why only pros do it." The Burly man responded.
"I think... I think I might become his fan!"
"I'll pass, there are way cooler people in the rankings than this dude."
Their conversation went on throughout the night. Talking about rankers and the new rising star. But what they didn't realize is that the very rising star was sitting right across from them.

I literally became a ranker 2 days ago and this is the amount of attention I'm getting. If I knew that beforehand I wouldn't have done it dammit!
There was no reason for those drunkards to talk that much about me. But here we are, they still haven't left the bar even after multiple hours of talking. If it weren't for the fact that I'm doing a quest right now I'd come over and kick their shit in!
Why am I waiting here for two shitheads to leave a bar, you may ask? Well I'm currently completely a stealth quest. Waiting at the bar until midnight when everyone leaves and a secret informer shows up. Y'know a typical quest fit for someone as conspicuous as myself. BUT now these drunks are wasting my time and I've got to wait until they leave.
It wouldn't have been a problem if they had left at least an hour after midnight, but now it's already 3AM! I'm running completely off caffeine and I'm quickly running out.
"Hey don't you think we should log out already? It's getting pretty late in real life."
"You're probably right. I'll see you tomorrow for the boss raid."
Finally! The two of them both logged out and I patiently waited as the informer was supposed to show up. I'm so tired that I can't keep my eyes open for more than a couple seconds.

[You will be placed into a forced sleep state until your stamina recovers to 50% capacity.]
"Motherfu-...." *Snore* *Snore*
The informant appeared and noticed the sleeping adventurer at the table. He then scoffed as he walked right back out and left, leaving me to suffer.
