I shadow hopped to the edge of the metropolis onto a five story parking lot and found the cause of the emergency. A monster approaching the city, it was a 100 meter tall Uganda Knuckles.
Mike rubbed his eyes speechless at what he was witnessing.
How this came to be you ask? well here's the explanation.
In a sterile white laboratory. A male scientist in a black lab coat and frizzy white hair took an echidna, and dropped it in an experimental red liquid.
"With this my experiment will be COMPLETE!" shouted the scientist with excitement.
Then his radiation equipment went haywire sparks flew everywhere the room was shaking, clanging was heard coming from the machine.
"NO NOT AT THIS POINT wHY?!"
Then it emitted rays of radiation into the liquid. The rooms shaking dropped a laptop into the liquid. What was currently on that screen you ask? It was Uganda Knuckles. Yes this mad scientist was also... A MEMER.
ED: YOUR FUCKING MEMEING
Then the metal tub broke and an Uganda Knuckles exploded out of it while growing at an insane rate making the ceiling cave in.
It then looked down at the scientist with its round black eyes and asked "Dew, U, No de Wey?" its mouth flapped open largely as it let out each syllable.
The scientist answered "tHe WaY cAn bEee fOuNd, thRouGh BLOOD!" shouted the scientist crazily
A not so well proportioned foot wearing red sneakers smashed down crushing the scientist, making blood spurt out.
....
Mike of course didn't know any of this. What he did know was that Uganda Knuckles was approaching the city and had already got very close, it was on the plains before the city.
The police and military fired at the Knuckles with their guns but, it was useless. A dozen rockets where fired from a truck mounted with missiles at Knuckles. They exploded in it's face and a cloud of dust formed blocking the monster's view.
A soldier asked "D-did it work?"
The dust cleared, but there wasn't even a cut on the giant Knuckles.
"W-hat?" asked a dazed police man.
"We need a hero!" shouted a soldier.
"RETREAT!!!" shouted the commanding officer.
The Giant Knuckles gaze pierced at where the missiles came from and saw the police and military running away.
"Why are u running?" the Knuckles was puzzled.
Knuckles' voice echoed throughout the city.
The military and the whole populous became terrified.
....
The citizens ran around in terror "WHERE ARE THE HEROES?!"
A red blur came flying from the metropolis.
I watched the red blur confront the red giant.
It was the Red Warrior. My favorite childhood TV show was based on heroes like him. He had a red jumpsuit and a mask covering top half of his face. He also had cool spiky red hair flowing behind him. Floating in the air the Red Warrior examined the enemy.
The Red Warrior Exclaimed "Whoa! that's a big one."
"I might not be able to handle this alone... I'll have to do my best until then."
This Red Warrior pressed a button on his belt and then a red mech with the appearance of a human appeared out of no where replacing the Red Warrior. The mecha was about a quarter the size of the Knuckles he was facing.
The red mecha blasted itself at Knuckles. He flew in front of it and punched it's over sized tummy. Sadly there was no effect but a jiggle on the Uganda Knuckles. Instead of the tummy collapsing from the impact the red mecha's fist got crushed.
"NO WAY!" shouted the Red Warrior as he watched, the shock waves of the jiggle, fade into the fat of the Giant Uganda Knuckles.
The red mecha then looked up to see; a dumb faced Knuckles throwing a white gloved fist at him.
The red mecha was stuck far away from the red monstrosity into a grey skyscraper, destroying the building in the process. Glass shattered and metal beams came crashing down onto the city and it's people. The red mech was still flying from the hit's impact and it crashed into a street causing concrete and dirt to fly into the air.
Red lights flared in the Red mecha's cockpit.
*BEEEP BEEEP CRITICAL DAMAGE ENTERING REPAIR MODE*
"Where is the rest of my team!?"
I watched as all this happened "It's time to test my strength now."
I opened up the skills board

'Wow my skills really shot up from level one.'
'Lets try using Body Strengthening and then teleport to the back of the giant red meme.'
I used the skill then felt the strength of countless men flowing through my veins.
The Knuckles had waddled its way into the city and was reeking havoc as it went on its way. It stomped indiscriminately on people and crushed buildings fire and rubble was left in it's wake.
I instantly teleported facing the back of the unknowing Knuckles. And threw a punch with all my might at him.
Then there was no more giant red meme. Instead there was red mist.
the punches force caused the blood to be instantly vaporized.
'What?' I was dumbfounded from what my right hand had caused. Then I teleported away into an empty alleyway.
The everyone who witnessed Knuckles explode burst into cheers as the monster was no more.
Some where shedding tears of joy and others of sadness at loss of their loved ones.
But who was that hero that could one hit that monstrosity? All heroes are registered by the Association of Justice but none could think of who he was.
The Red Warrior who just recovered and entered the sky couldn't believe it. He could only sit in the mecha with his mouth wide open.
[BZZZZT Hey Red where is the monster?] A female voice asked the Red Warrior through radio.
"No where, its gone." replied Red who was still surprised.
.....
Inside of the city's police headquarters.
"So whats wrong with this guy?" asked a police man who entered. He was sporting a buzz cut and a badge that listed Police Chief. He stared at a man at a large desk in the small grey room with one computer many monitors and a large TV at the center.
"I'll explain so that you can look out for him." the Detective in the suit paused.
"First look at this video." the Detective pointed at the flat screen TV on the wall in the small grey investigation room.
A video from a street cam showed a cross walk. A truck passes by and rams into a male student walking on the sidewalk. He is hit from the front grill of the truck. Blood splatters then disappears.
"Wait? What happened?" the astonished Chief asked.
"You saw it, that black haired student was hit by the truck. But no body was found at the scene." explained the Detective.
"eh" the Chief was struck dumb.
"Well, this is what I think. It might be an awakening."
"You mean that student could be a hero?"
"Yes but his power isn't known. What is, is that he is still alive."
"And we already have an investigation currently under way."
"Pssht, I'd expect no less from the Hero Agency's Investigation Team."
