5 Shizuka Marikawa

A hidden quest...I had my suspicion. Didn't expect to meet her this soon, well I planned for it but not this fast. The reason I went into this woman's house was simple, few days after I purchased the necessary supplies, without wasting time I started to surveil one of the main casts that has a higher chance in bringing me into the school before the outbreak would be non other than Shizuka Marikawa.

Shizuka Marikawa is one main character for HotD that served as a school nurse prior to the outbreak, after the outbreak however she serve as a medic for Takashi's group....but most of the time she is simply a comic relief character that breaks the tension. I have to admit I like her ditsy personality...I mean the doctors and nurse back when I was still in an asylum treated me coldly, well I can't blame them I've severely injured and killed some of them during my time there.

Either that or I have a thing for older women, anyways I've chosen Shizuka-sensei to surveil. I've spend a few days watching her every movement and who she comes into contact with and one of them is the woman that served me lunch.

- 2 Days before the outbreak-

Shizuka-sensei and the woman were sitting inside of a cafe drinking and eating cakes, I was sitting close enough to eavesdropped.

"Mari, you've not change at all even after we graduated...well except for your breast they seem bigger."

"Aahaha, surely you jest Seiko. I'm still the same but like you said it's been too long since we last talk."

"hehehe...so when are you planning on tying the knot. You know I expected you to be to first one to hitched off after graduation since you're always popular back in Uni."

"Eeeehh, no I don't think so plus I'm waiting for the right man."

"Geez you're still childish but ah well I guess that's what makes people like you Shizuka. Oh before I forget the reason I asked you out is because I wanted to tell you I'm finally pregnant with my first child."

She said proudly it proudly with a genuine smile.

"I'm finally going to be a mother!"

Shizuka-sensei's eyes sparkle and started smiling as well.

"Pregnant, you're pregnant! congratulation Seiko!"

"Thanks Mari, I wanted to invite you out with the other girls for a baby shower."

"Oh, that sounds lovely! we can try to get Minami-chan as well."

"Oh that's great I haven't seen her in years as well."

Minami.....as in Rika Minami the SAT sniper for police department here in town.

"Anyways Seiko, how's your husband doing?"

"My husband...he's amazing, he's been working tireless lately after we moved into our house and coming home late. But he always make time for me even when he's tired."

The woman smiles causing Shizuka-sensei to smile softly as well.....smiles huh.

"You're a lucky woman Seiko."

"Ahahaha you'll meet one as well Mari! also I wanted to ask you something important. You see my husband and I discuss this for awhile now and when our child enters this world, we...I want you to be this child's godmother."

"Godmother...I."

"Oh...you don't want to."

"NO NO! I'm just surprise that's all....Yes I'll be your child's godmother."

The woman jump from her seat and started hugging her causing a scene, frankly it's embarrassing...and yet heartwarming. The waiter came and ask them politely to lower their voice.

'Shut up Solomon. I'll buy take out on the way back to the hotel.'

"You need to come to my house tomorrow Mari, so we can start planning the baby shower. You have work on Monday right?"

Shizuka-sensei nodded.

"Yup, on Monday I have work at school, being the school nurse is not that easy you know."

"Alright I'll see you tomorrow an-"

Suddenly the woman's phone started to ring.

"Oh it's my husband can you give me a moment. Yes....ah what's the matter honey, WHAT YOU WERE ATTACK! are you alright?.....I see so you're on your way back home after knocking him out. I head home to check up on you."

"Is everything alright Seiko?"

Shizuka-sensei looked worry, even I'm curious about it but my best bet is that the husband encountered an infected and got bitten.

"Yea, my husband was attack by this freak and bit my husband's arm so I have to head back early and bring him to the hospital for check up I'm scared he might have some strange infection or something. I'll see you tomorrow Mari. Bye."

The woman wave goodbye and paid for her meals and left...An opportunity has presented itself. I left the cafe and followed the woman back to her house. It's a small yet quiet house in the neighborhood.

Her husband should be turning soon so I best be prepared, I sneak into their backyard and hide in plain sight. And as soon as her husband arrived home I eavesdrop on them, the woman ask the husband to got to the hospital for check up because she's worried probably because she must have watched the news about a small outbreak.

Her husband shook his head saying he's fine and just tired but to make his wife less worry, he promised her that he'll go to the hospital tomorrow for check up. The woman ask if he needs the company and plan on canceling her meeting with Shizuka-sensei her husband shook his head and said that she should spend time with her friends and worry less for the baby's sake.

'What a loving family...damn I'm starting to remember my childhood.'

I shook my head to keep focus up and the two of them fall asleep after spending time together like a normal married couple.

'I thought you're incapable of being tired...you know the more time I spend with you the more I realized you act the same as any other humans mind explaining?'

Solomon became quiet then spoke up.

<I'm far from human.>

'I see. Then I won't ask anymore.'

I look towards the house and see lights coming from the kitchen it seems the husband came down wanting to drink a glass of water...he's acting a bit weirdly, hmmm he's turning..but why did it take this long usually it happens fast. Now that I think about it the husband took his time before coming home and he didn't changed then....something is not right but before I could contemplate a notification pop up.

[Optional Quest: Save Seiko naked]

.....What?

"Solomon what's this? Why must save her naked."

"Sigh."

I immediately took off my clothes and threw it away and enter the house. It is there that I see her fighting and pushing her husband back.

"Solomon, solution?"

"He's right, it's better to get some hand on experience myself in close quarter combat."

I picked up the wrench on the floor and raise it behind him the woman caught a glimpse of me jumping and smashed her husband head from behind....I hate to admit it. I enjoyed it.

-Present Time-

"Umm excuse me but who might you be?"

Shizuka-sensei asked and cause me to come back to reality. Alright time for the next phase of the plan.

"I'm Seiko-san's nephew miss...?"

I act like a child and ask cutely...this is demeaning but necessary.

"Oh my name is Shizuka Marikawa umm, you're Seiko's nephew strange she didn't tell me she had one."

"Oh that's because we just came back to Japan from America with her husband after years of living there. We plan on living in Japan so my parents left me here in their care while my parents settle the house"

"I see, well it's nice to me you.."

"Winchester, Arthur Winchester. Aged 10."

I raise my hand to show my age with ten fingers, Shizuka-sensei found it cute that she crouch down and hug me tightly...good god I'm being suffocated. I struggle to break free.

"Hey Arthur do you know where Seiko-san and her husband are."

"Oh..Seiko-san is with her husband at the hospital she wanted to contact you but was busy. I'll try calling her with my phone. Sit down in the living room alright."

Shizuka-sensei nodded and proceed to sit down while I quickly make my way to the kitchen and grab the house phone.

"Solomon do you have her phone on you?"

<Yes...I checked her pocket and her phone is there why?>

"Can you mimic her voice?"

"Do it and play along."

I quickly return back into the living room and held the house phone.

"Sorry Shizuka-san, she's not picking up."

Shizuka then felt her pocket vibrating and look to see who's calling.

"Hello Seiko is that you."

<Yes..it's me Mari, are you at my house?>

"Yes and I'm inside because Arthur invited me in."

"Hmm, okay Seiko anything for you."

<Yaaaay! Thanks Mari I want to kiss you if I could, I owe you thanks, hey this is good practice for you as a godmother....hehehe.>

"Ahaha alright I'll see you soon. Bye."

Shizuka-sensei hung up her phone and so did Solomon....I guess everything work as planned.

"Hey Arthur, your aunt and uncle won't be here till late night do you to come over to my place?"

I quickly nodded

"Sure Shizuka-nee."

When Shizuka-sensei heard this her eyes immediately sparkles and hugs me tightly....uurgh someone save me.
