Familiar Feeling

After finished his laugh, Alexander finally accepted the fact he transmigrated to the Marvel Universe. The only pity was his parent in the original universe as they must be sad from his sudden disappearance. Luckily there's still his younger brother James who can accompany them, so they will not be too sad.

Alexander still confused why would he transmigrated here as it just too unbelievable. Then the bunch of cards that came out from Steve earlier, he still not yet find its usability. Now that he was in the Marvel Universe, it means danger lurked in every corner.

Alexander must soon find how to use his cheat as the situation demanded him. According to his judgment, the time now must be around 1943, which is the time when Steve Roger entered the Camp Lehigh. It means the WW2 was ongoing, and since he was in the same place as Steve now, it means he was a soldier too!

Alexander got up from the bed and walked toward a mirror. He found his face was mostly the same as his old one, just a little more handsome. His body was that of a typical soldier is, which is a relief as he was not skinny type like Steve.

Alexander didn't find any additional memory inside his head, which made him a little headache by how to act like this previous body owner. But well, he already has a solution for that problem.

After checked his appearance, Alexander walked back to his bed and wore the military clothes that hung beside it. He walked out of the room and found that a group of men wore the same uniform as he lined up in a field.

Alexander sneakily made his way to the group and blend in with them. He finds that Steve was stood just beside him, separate between 4 men. After standing up for 5 min, a female wore a military officer uniform came.

"Regroup attention! Gentleman, I'm Agent Carter, I supervised all the operation for this division." Carter said as she slowly walked while observing the group.

"What's with the accent, Queen Victoria? Thought I was signed up for the US Army." A big burly man said with a mocking tone.

Peggy suddenly stopped and look at the man.

"What's your name, soldier ?" Peggy asked.

"Gilmore Hodge, your majesty," Gilmore answered.

"Step forward, Hodge and put your right foot forward," Peggy said while looked directly at Gilmore's eyes.

"Mmm, we gonna wrestle huh. Cuz I know a few moves that I know you'll like..." Gilmore said while winking at Peggy.

Peggy suddenly punched Gilmore at his nose which caused him to fell into the ground. Alexander just watched it as he knew this scene from the movie. It felt weird to him as he already watched it from the film, to experience it personally was entirely a different thing.

After a while, a military jeep came it and from it down a middle-aged man wearing an army officer uniform.

"Colonel Philip," Peggy said.

"I see you are breaking into the candidates, that's good. Get your ass away from the dirt and standing at that line of attention until somebody tells you what to do." Phillip said to Gilmore, who immediately stand up.

Phillip strolled and said, "General Patton has said that war is fought by weapon but won by men. We are going to win this war because we have the best..... men." Phillip said while looked at Steve.

"And because they will get better, much better." Phillip then slowly walked until he reached Alexander position.

"Soldier Hartman! I thought I already told you to pack your thing away." Phillip said while looked directly at Alexander's eyes.

"Please give me another chance, Sir!" Alexander shouted while looked at Phillip body. After 5 seconds, a bunch of cards popped out from him.

As expected from his judgment, a bunch of cards popped out from him. There are 6 Advanced skill, 16 Intermediate skill, and at least 100 Elementary and Beginner skill. Alexander uses his mind and tries to choose [Rifle Marksman].

The card that contained [Rifle Marksman] suddenly flew out from Phillip and entering Alexander body. Immediately, a series of knowledge about a rifle, how to aim, and various posture appeared in Alexander mind. Not just that, Alexander felt his body seemed to change as it seems to instill the muscle memory to him.

Alexander woke up as he can vaguely hear Phillip talk.

"Soldier Hartman! Tell me a reason why I must give you a chance! A weak soldier like you who faint just by stand under the sun is unsuitable for a battlefield!" Phillip shouted directly at Alexander's face.

"Please give me a chance to prove myself," Alexander shouted back.

Phillip silent for a moment before he turned his head to Carter and said, "Agent Carter, take a rifle from my jeep and give it to Soldier Hartman."

Carter ran to Phillip jeep, take an M1 Garand from it and immediately give it to Alexander.

"Now, I give you a chance to prove yourself. Do you see a target over there? If you can hit it, you can stay." Phillip said while pointed a target 100 m away.

"Colonel Phillip, isn't this too harsh for him ?" Peggy asked worriedly as, after all, Alexander was just a recruit. He must have no experience to shoot a rifle, and now he was told to shoot a target 100 m away.

"Harsh? He will die at the battlefield if I let him stay at his current condition. It's better for him to go home, instead of dying in vain." Peggy just silent after Phillip replies.

Alexander caressed the rifle as he can feel a familiar feeling from his whole body, as it seems he had used this rifle countless time. It felt weird, but at the same time, a wonderful feeling came along.

"Do you ready, Soldier Hartman ?" Phillip asked loudly.

"I'm always ready."
