2 Will I come out alive?

Luo Cheng has been analyzing the strategies and techniques used from his enemies. He has everyday trained to analyze and understand his opponent's weaknesses and strengths since he was a kid, just to survive the days alone in the wilderness. Thus he has learned how to use nearly every weapon in this world with many different techniques, and further developing them. When anything dangerous happens he simply dashes out of the danger, he has learned the essence of survival. But since he's trapped by the army, he can't run away other than fight them for a survival chance.

The difference between Core Formation stage and Ascendent stage is like a pond and a lake, Ascendent stage's x-energy is too big to be compared with each other. But when the ponds gather together, it can be equally big or even bigger! The soldiers are veterans, knowing how to cooperate together in big groups. This did not surprise Luo Cheng since he knew what they were capable off, just by looking at their looks. Knowing how much money the Luo-family spent just to find him, it would make sense for them to also spend a lot to end it all.

The ground shook and rumbled like an earthquake, seeing the army of thousands attacking Luo Cheng from all possible angles, Luo Cheng kept dodging and blocking, his fragile old body twisting and turning every way and his eyes becoming blood-red having a burning sensation from looking everywhere around him in lightning speed, left, right, up, down. His brain focused on performing his best, many thoughts in his brain are created to have a surviving ending, but nothing seems to fulfil the requirement, only one error from Luo Cheng will determine if he lives or not. He has to do something before it's too late, the longer he fights the faster he drains his x-energy, without x-energy he'll be equally useless like a dog having no fighting power other than his intelligence. In this world fighting power is everything, if you don't have enough fighting power you'll be regarded as useless failure.

The source of strength comes from x-energy, different stages can store various amount of x-energy. For example in early stages of Body Tempering you can control a hand-fist of x-energy. Legend says it that when you reach Martial God stage, you don't need to store x-energy anymore, nobody has reached that stage yet.

After hours of fighting against the army, Luo Cheng started to feel weaker and weaker, his body soaking wet of sweat and breathing heavily, trying to maintain a natural stance in the middle of the circle. His eyes has already shut down completely becoming blind by the huge x-energy intake in short amount of time, you could see blood coming out of his eyes dripping down on his cheeks. His body couldn't cooperate with the x-energy anymore.

His body is already fragile and old, it's even lucky that he is still alive breathing. Luo Cheng stopped attacking and dodging after the army retreated to their original stance, surrounding Luo Cheng on the mountain like before. *Huff huff huff* breathed Luo Cheng heavily, his eyes twitching blood while listening to all directions vigilantly for any moves from the Luo Army. Luo Cheng could hear the army's hearts beat very fast. "Are they scared of me?" wondered Luo Cheng while still being vigilant. But his face changed grim when he felt the strong pressure coming from his left, it's not Luo Heng's aura, it's something much stronger! The killing aura from this person was insanely thick that it could pierce through the sky, he must be in True Immortal stage. At this moment Luo Cheng knew he had nowhere to run, and would die here, alone. Thinking of this made Luo Cheng extremely depressed, angry and sad. All emotions mixed and fused together. He no longer knew what to feel, but felt everything a man could feel in a short moment.

"Who are you?" said Luo Cheng frowning. "Hahahaha, you should've known whom I am, son" said the man at Luo Cheng's left. It's his father! His father looks alot younger than Luo Cheng by at least 200 years, this shows the difference in hardships between them. Luo Cheng could not help but frown deeper. It's because of this person that his life has ended this way! "Why are you doing this to me!?" screamed Luo Cheng out of his lungs. "I am doing this for our family's sake, a peasant like you could not be kept alive. I tried to assassinate both you and your mother when you were a baby, we succeeded in killing your mother but somehow you were still alive. We royals could not have relationship with peasants which has low x-energy capacity. Therefore we had to clean the family tree by killing you" answered Luo Qiao while increasing his killing intent around him. Luo Cheng laughed like a maniac while crying out red tears from his eyes, "only for this simple reason, you followed me through day and night just for this reason..." thought Luo Cheng and couldn't help his anger but laugh even louder, at this moment he learned the essence of mankind, how people think and act in this world. The army including Luo Heng and Luo Qiao looked at this lunatic screaming and laughing at the same time, which made them startled.

Luo Qiao thought if he didn't end this quickly, the army would lose self-confidence. Luo Qiao dashed at Luo Cheng without a second thought, swinging his golden sword at him.

Luo Cheng dodged quickly the strikes Luo Qiao swung at him. "You're quite capable, Luo Cheng". At this moment Luo Qiao suddenly screamed furiously and performed Seven killing sword wave! Luo Qiao generated seven strikes from his golden sword, the strikes felt like they combined and created a huge wave. Luo Cheng gritted bitterly dodging and blocking the strikes, but his body could not keep up with the last strike, the strike flew toward his right arm and sliced it. Blood came rushing from his arm in rapid speed. Luo Cheng held his disabled arm, trying to prevent blood from flowing. He smiled coldly and thought "There's no way out of this bad state! Only chance is to use the treasure I found in the mythical tomb, I have to sacrifice myself and bring my enemies to death with me. According to tomb's scrolls, this is a explosion ball, size of a tennis ball and could bring destruction of 1km2 range with power beyond Martial Emperor". Without thinking further, Luo Cheng took it out from his meridians, Luo Qiao looked at Luo Cheng and wondered why he was smiling, after seeing the black ball with golden text on Luo Cheng's left hand he widened his eyes and shouted "RUN! IT'S THE LEGENDARY EXPLOSION BALL!!" without looking at it for two seconds or questioning how he got the ancient treasure which is super rare and only one in the entire world, the army scattered wildly, running from their lives. They knew the consequences of the treasure but doesn't know much about the details, other than it's extremely deadly to people under Martial God stage.

Luo Cheng tilted his head up in the sky emotionlessly, his blind eyes blood-red with his fragile old body holding the treasure on his left hand and his right arm is completely disabled, blood flowing from it like a stream. He shut his eyelids down and said in a pitiful voice "If only I had a great beginning in my life..." and activated the treasure….
