5 THE SECOND DAY

At the insurgents camp we where locked in a small room like a cage. They give us a half of bread and a drop of water, despite the long walk and running we had. At first i refuse to eat. But my stomach started to growl. So, i have no choice but to eat. Before i dead of starvation.

There was a girl besides me who got injured. She was taken by them, and later got killed. They said she is useless to them and whoever become useless, would face the same fate as her.

"We brought you here, because your parents doesn't care for you. But we do care. You supposed to be at your marriage houses, but you came to do something that wouldn't benefits you". One of the men said.

From his look you can easily understand, he is they leader. After he finished, they brought us a veil to wear. They was also a man that is taking our pictures and video.

They gathered us and started taking video, saying they will going to send it to our parents and the government. Later they take us back to our room that looks like a prison. Sending they men to enjoyed us.

One of the men yell at me and instructed to follow him. I just followed him without hesitation. We pass through the busy place where some men got drunk, and some of them are repairing they guns.

When we enter his room, he grabs me putting his hand around my waist. I screamed begging him to leave me. But it was like i stired him. I pulled him and bite his hand, he screamed and slap me. It was the time that they leader entered the room and slapped him.

"What are you doing? Are you out of your mind? I told you to enjoyed them but not forced them, if they doesn't like. meet me at my room". He said and leave.

However i was still on the floor grabbing my head and folding my legs crying. He turns to me and said.

"We will going to meet next time". Then leaves the room.

When i returned to our room crying, i also saw my colleagues crying. Many of them where raped. So, i thanked Almighty that i am safe. But something need to be done before it was too late.

"It was already late". A girl next to me said. like she knows what was on my mind.

"But what do you have in mind?" She added.

Nothing. I replied.

"I wanted to meet they leader". She said.

I panicked. How could she say that? what would i do to stop her from this stupid idea? I remember the look in his eyes, when he was talking to the man that attempt to rape me. He seemed to be fine, but there was no mercy in his looks.

Oh! no you can't do this. This is not a good idea, think of another way. I said worriedly.

She smiled and hold my hands. It was the first time that i see someone smiled with all those chores.

"I know it's way too dangerous. But instead of all of us to dead here, is better to lose one and freed many".

When she comes here with her statement, i don't know what to say. Rather i don't know what is on her mind. So, i just froze and became speechless.

Someone opens the door of our room. Who could it be now, i said in my mind.

"All of you follow me outside". It was a man that i can't see the end of his length, he has big head with red eyes. Holding a gun. From his look, you need no one to tell you that he can kill a person.

What ever its, it has to be with what happens few minutes a go. i said in mind.

We held hands and marched out of the dorm room at gun point. Then herded into the back of an open bed truck, we where all freightened and lost our grip.

"Hurry up, the army are on they way". The leader said.

After putting us in the truck, they set fire on they tent. Leaving no trace.

As we are going, the girl that we had talk before jumped up the side and trumbled into the darkness. She seems not care to be shot or lost to the unknown forest.

They started to shot everywhere, but missed her. Seen that many of the girls jumped from the truck grabbing trees. But lost they lives as the Insurgents shots many of them.

I shrieked in fear. But this time they have to be more harsh on us, because we are about to get them caught.

That night we had a ride up to the 2 o'clock, then our truck stop and we where split into two groups. Some of us where taken to the end of the border and the rest would move to the secret camp near a small town of Chadi border. From what i hear they leader says.

What really have i done to deserve this life? i talk to myself. I know wherever Ummi is, she is in grief of my lost. And Baba too wouldn't be able to eat food. I cry to my lung, but one of the soldier beat me with his gun. They are no longer human, they have no sense of mercy.

We stop near a small lake and we where surrounded with trees, though it was a night but i can see clearly. Not far from us there was a small village. So, they leader ordered them to enter the village and brought us food. Because we already run out of food since at the camp.

I can hear the screams of the villagers, but they did no mercy to them. They also steal all what they have produced and loaded it to an empty truck.
