10 THE MISSION

After the outbreak of covid19 in 'DUMAH', alot of attempt to find the vaccine was done by the rebels but they failed. The lord of 'DUMAH' then decided that everyone tested positive to covid19 would be executed.

He appointed a committee called 'operation wipe out'. The main activities of the committee is to search and execute every person found positive to covid19.

But the rebels that brought us to 'DUMAH' argue that, they won't accept the decision made by the lord of 'DUMAH'. Which makes him angry and promise to wipe away any person disagree with him.

In the room i was isolated with Hassana, we heard the news about the executing of any person tested positive to covid19. I panicked in fear and sit up, and begin to remember all the good days i had with my parents. Tears roll down to my cheek and my throat started to burn, then i pushed away the thought of been killed.

Hassana that was beside me all the time, understand my fear and she was on same thought i was. She pushed hard and get close to me, She looks at me with questioning face.

"Do you think they will going to killed they men?" she asked curiously.

I don't know but lord of 'DUMAH' is merciless, he might even killed his blood to rest on his throne. I replied to her in a serious tone.

just she was about to say something a knock on the door interrupted us. A man come in, then doctors followed.

"Here a protective gown and face mask, wear it and follow us". One of the doctors instructed us.

We did as he said and followed them, escorted by the men holding a guns. Not so far we arrived at the center of the house were many people gathered, like they are waiting to celebrate something. Immediately the lord of 'DUMAH' stands.

"As you know there was an outbreak of covid19 in this great town of 'DUMAH', and we did all our best to find the cure but we failed. So i decided to ex..." Before he finished a man interrupted him.

The man whispered in his ear, then he turned to us and ordered his men to take us back to the isolation center. Even his men were surprised that time, because he never makes a decision and take it back.

Lots of thought rushed to my mind. What does this mean? Is he planning something with us. But Hassana interrupted me.

"I am glad we are not going to die. But sooner or later we will die". She takes a deep breath and continued.

"What do you think makes him change his min?" She asked curiously.

I don't either but i know he is planning something big. I replied to her squeezing my face.

I heard that; "every door may be shut but death's door". Don't be happy, he is yet to change his mind. I added.

She looks at me nodding her head in agreement, then smiled and said.

"Still am glad that am alive".

We spent that day discussing, until the sun goes down.

Lord of 'DUMAH' called a meeting that day, about what that man told him.

"Are you sure they brought the vaccine to the refugee camp?". The lord of 'DUMAH' asked the man.

"Yes sir. They brought it yesterday night and am sure it was the vaccine". The man answered.

They were talking about the vaccine that was brought to the refugee camp last night. They have a spy in the refugee camp who was given them information about everything that was happening there.

Hearing this the lord of 'DUMAH' appoint some of his men to mission called 'Operation vaccine'. He prepared his men and send them to attack the refugee camp near the Nigerian boarder, and stole the vaccine. They takes a deadly weapons and leave.

After a few ride they stop at a forest near the refugee camp and wait for a night to attacked. This was the plan of the lord of 'DUMAH'. Everything goes as they planned, until night they snuck and enter the restricted area of the camp, which led them to the small clinic where people isolated. At that moment one of the guard saw them and blow the whistle which alarm all the camp that something was wrong.

Immediately the soldiers appeared and started shooting them. They fire back but only to protect themselves, because the only thing that they focused was stolen the vaccine.

Soldiers killed many of the rebels but they refused to retreat. In that case they move to the plan two. Sending two of they men to break in to the store where the vaccine was. And the rest cover them. With that plan they succeed in stolen the vaccine but they lost many of they men.

They run for atleast fourteen kilometres before they escaped the army. And later arrived at 'DUMAH' early in the morning.

They arrived at the right time because Hassan was about lose her life. There was rash all over her body, and she was shaking since last night.

Immediately the doctors took the vaccine to where we was isolated and started it on Hassan. It was 'ASTRAZENECA' vaccine, immediately after taking it Hassana fall asleep.

And then it was injected to to me and later the rest of the people. After some ours it started giving reaction to me, and then i fall asleep.

The whole day was spent giving the vaccine to the people that are leaving in 'DUMAH'. As soon as i wake up at the night all the pain has gone, but still i feel dizzy.

Oh it is working, I know that i will not die now. I said in my mind.

Then a voice behind me interrupted me. It was a doctor asking me.

"How do you feel now?".

I am good now, all the pain in my body gone but still i feel dizzy. I answered.

"Alright it works. Don't worry it will soon go". He said as he approach the door.

I then lay back to bed and lost in thought, but suddenly i fall asleep.
