7 Chapter 7: Prince To The Rescue

POV: Lisa Montagne

After the dash of wind pushes them away, I made a run for it at the quickest exit route that I can spot with this bubble in my head, it blocked any sort of sound I shouted so I can't ask for help or whatever so I aimlessly ran to a place where they won't be able to reach me. Looking back, I can see the men still trailing around me like bees to honey. Damn! These men are really persistent, aren't they.

The twist and turns of the dark alleyways of the area made it like an intense game of cat and mouse where all of them with leering eyes chased me like I was fresh meat and they were getting impatient the longer they ran.

Suddenly, my luck ran out as I was greeted by a dead-end in the dark alleyway. Just like before, I just got back to where I began and I don't think these men would bargain again after what I did. I tried to go back to another road but they spot me and completely block the exit..

"We gave you a chance to do this the easy way girlie. Now you're getting it rough.." All of their hands squirmed like tentacles making me feel so comfortable and sick to my stomach. I'm going to have to fight back at this rate or try to trick them once again.

I felt my way to my neck to see that the fox pendant that Luna gave me is there. This should be able to polymorph me into something else. I'll just polymorph myself into a very unattractive girl. Closing my breath, I gripped the pendant tightly to active it, releasing a cloud of smoke as I feel the pendant completely changing how I look, from my height, my face, and how I smelt. I imagined myself as a smelly woman that's been living in the slums with a saggy face and a body that would make anyone turn away from.

"Sorry boys but you see. I have just transformed a young lady. I'm actually an old lady..." I said to all of them as I see the look of disgust in their eyes. This was definitely going to cut off those desires of theirs.

"Eh. I'm down but I'm not that desperate.." They all looked at each other in disappointment as they all trail away with their tail between their legs. Wow! Who knew that this plan would actually work! I'm such a genius.

I pat myself on the shoulder before realizing that the bubble was still on my head blocking any kind of sound. Ugh! When is this going to go away! This curse is so annoying, I might have to ask Luna to get this removed since she's more knowledgeable in these ki-

As I was pondering about the bubble, a man walked into the alleyway with a worried look on his face. "Hello! Are you alright there!" He was panting and shouting as he made his way towards me.

"Yes?!" I shouted towards him in a raspy old lady voice since I was still polymorphed.

"Are.. are you the lady that's screaming in the bubble curse?" The young man said to me with confusion as he schemed through me up and down. "I saw those men dragging you and I was going to assist you but looks like you got it under control since they left." He says to me.

"Yup I did. Thank goodness." I grabbed hold of my pendant once again to make the smoke appear to bring me back to my original form, I smiled at him and placed my hand onto his. "Thank you, You may not have saved me but I appreciate the thought. of you doing that."

"Anyways, you're not hurt or anything, right?" He asks me, with a worried look in his expression.

This feeling of being cared for. It's been so long that I've felt this way, I remember those times when my dad and father would take care of me when I was sick, this warm feeling of a hug. It almost makes me cry actually.

"I'm fine. There's just this bubble that I need to be removed since it prevents sound from coming out. Though how are you able to hear the sound from the bubble?" I ask him since I am quite curious. This curse should prevent anyone outside of the circle to hear me.

"I have a high tolerance against curses. It's a gift that I was born with actually. The mere fact of me just touching any curse can purify it if it's not too powerful that is." He says to me. So then the tall and handsome blonde man touched the bubble and there it popped like a balloon. Vanish like a bubble as the saying goes.

"Thank you.." I sighed. "I'm Lisa Montagne. You are?" The stranger then paused, for some reason. It seems like he needed to think before he even says who he is.

POV: Lucas Khisfire

Should I say to her that I'm the prince of this kingdom?! No! That would blow my cover. I'll have to lie about who I am to her since if word got out of me hanging around these areas. It'll be another bait for the money-hungry people to try to befriend me and shower me with fake compliments once again.

"My name is Terrence Louie." I made up a fake name to introduce myself as I shook her hand. She smiled from ear to ear as I felt the soft hands. "What is a young woman such as yourself doing in this part of the kingdom?" I inquired to her but she seemed to pause a bit.

POV: Lisa Montagne

Oh no.. he actually tried to ask me that question. Now I can't exactly tell him that I come here to scam people and work at a bar... that would be really suspicious but he's so nice. I don't really want to lie to him but I don't really want him to think less of me...
