1 The Young Mater

Blood Lotus word, Taiji sect secret realm, Han Hao's island,

A young man was currently sitting crossed legged on a luxurious mat, he was cultivating, reaching out with his senses and taking control of the rather pure qi of the world around him, then purifying the qi through his qi refiner, absorbing the qi into his body, slowly cycling it through his meridians using that damned basic technique, as his body was sweating profusely from the effort, the qi started to change properties getting smaller and purer as the cycle continued, finally as the qi was close to finish one cycle it was purified to the point that only a single strand of extremely pure yin-yang qi remained from the immense amount of qi absorbed, his concertation was reaching its limit, his body was struggling to keep up, as the strand finished the cycle and finally entered his dantian, the young man smiled.

As he started to rest, the young man sighed 'Cultivation is truly boring '

'And worse than that, it is the kind of repetitive work that requires one's at most attention'

He got up from the mat, started walking to his bed that was relatively far, he clicked his tongue in his annoyance at his father 'Dammed old foggy not letting me use the teleportation function of the token'

'How dare you say that this young master will use it to sustain his laziness? '

'It might be true, but you don't have to say it outright !'

As he laid on his bed, he put his head on his palm, then young man's attention started drifting his surroundings, choosing to occupy his attention with anything rather than continue the rather tedious process of cultivation, 'Besides cultivation when your body is tired and more importantly your concertation drained is rather inefficient .

His attention started drifting to the meditation mat that was probably made from the silk of a rare special spiritual beast, 'This mat is truly the best, it makes cultivation much easier and less exhausting'.

Then he looked to the red vivid lined that strangely dominated the room, 'Even after my father told me of their existence they still frighteningly blend in to the surroundings, I have to tell myself that they are there multiple times before I can see them, the cultivation world is truly a scary place' Han Hao shivered.

He lowered his hand, as his exhausted body started to give up, his eyes began to close and as always a single voice echoed in his mind right before he fell into the comfortable darkness of sleep: "Sigh, why can't people fight in the endless void, do they really have to fight in places where space is unstable, … sigh now I have to fix this mess…..the amount…. of paper work...I will….. have to…. endure …because of these tw-..."

The young man's name was Han Hao, the son of the sect master of the Taiji flame sect, his soul reincarnated in the blood lotus world assisted by a certain someone after he fell through a crack in space caused by two idiots fighting in places where they shouldn't, his memories awakened at the age of 8.

A rather handsome man appeared in the room in the room not causing any sound, he smiled mischievously, as he prepared to set up a prank, however as he started to take out the tools needed to set it up a voice ranged out.

"Father, you should at least make sure I am sleeping before starting to set up one of your ridiculous pranks" Han Hao said smiling smugly, while still having his eyes closed

"You should at least make eye contact when talking to your father" replied Han Chang with a mischievous scolding tone.

'Your senses are getting better every day, even without having a divine sense you could tell that I appeared, how scary' Han Chang admired his son in his thoughts.

Han Hao opened his eyes and looked at his father's black piercing eyes, and white hair, 'Why does our bloodline have to be so obvious, black and white, yin and yang, everyone in this sect has two contrasting colors, representing yin and yang'

"Father don't you know it's rude to suddenly appear in someone's room, You should at least knock we have doors for a reason, the architect of our sect must be rolling in his grave, for you to ignore his creation's purpose so wantonly just to show of your cool spatial techniques to your son"

Han Chang's eyes started twitching, 'Why must his son be so rude to him, wouldn't it kill him to show some respect', then he grinned.

"Boy, what makes you think he is dead anyway?"

'Our sect is really old, how could it's maker be alive when even our scary founders who could make such our blood line are dead'

"And you acknowledged that my technique are cool, it seems that even my fun hating son recognizes how awesome my spatial techniques are " Han Chang looked proud of himself to impress his rather hard to impress son.

Han Hao's eyes twitched at his slip of the tongue, he was rather annoyed that his father caught his it, Although his father's spatial techniques were cool he would never actually tell him that.

"Why weren't you cultivating my dear son? You are so close to reaching the foundational establishment stage" Han Chang eyes were gleaming as he thought about annoying his son further/

"You fully know why old man, cultivating one strand a cycle in an hour is my limit, if I try to continue I will make minor mistakes that will affect my qi's purity and attribute, it will be rather inefficient and wasteful" Han Hao looked arrogantly at his father 'Do you think you can annoy me so easily old man, I endured your bullying since I was born, let it not be said that this young master can't improve'

'Already one cycle in an hour, even if you can't sustain this speed for long, you are getting very scary my son, maybe in a million years you can surpass me, as expected for someone that was protected by the heavenly dao'

Han Chang sighed "Son even though cultivation at this stage is boring, it is one of the extremely foundational stage, even though cultivators at lower worlds and few higher ones prefer to rush through them, remember unless you are one of those freaks, it's better to spend take your time time in those stages to build a better foundation, I was just teasing up earlier" Han Chang said while pumping his fist to encourage his son.

Han Hao smiled at his father's attempt to encourage him and at the same time shuddered when his father mentioned the "freaks" 'hmm, I hope I never encounter one of them, those people reminiscent of those cheating protagonists that leave destruction in their wake everywhere they go'

"Although knowing you even the rather impressive one strand an hour is you be slacking a bit" Han Chang looked knowingly at his son

"Do not worry father, cultivation may be tedious and boring and i may slack a bit, but the feeling of getting stronger and finally being able to use our sect's flames is enough to make sure my drive to cultivate never wavers" Han Hao said as he was picking his nose, 'Also its necessary for me to survive'

"Hey stinky brat, remember when you breakthrough you can cultivate in martial techniques and I have a special present for you, so work hard and be steady"

Right as he finished talking Han Chang disappeared again without leaving a spatial disturbance.

Han Hao's eyes barely twitched, as he knew that his old man was probably using his divine sense to look at his reaction, he restrained himself from jumping out in joy, after all if his father calls something a special technique it must be really cool.

"Old man, come out, can you stop these childish games?"

Han Chang returned the recording crystal to his ring in the void the stepped into his son's room pouting.

"You are no fun my son, you used to fall my tricks in the past even after the seal on your memories opened, when did you become such a sour pus?"

"Hmph, why is the father of this young master so childish? you almost make me not believe you are the same person who lifted up this sect from decline".

"It isn't enough that my seniors and juniors don't respect me despite me being the sect master, even my son doesn't" Han Chang starting sobbing dramatically.

"Perchance its because their sect master keeps pulling pranks on them, and constantly displays childish behavior, and just maybe if he stopped they will start respecting him a smide more" Han Hao smiled serenely as he berated his father.

"Never! who do you think this man is, I am THE master prankster of the blood lotus world, how can I just stop without having found a successor for this mantle?" Han Chang said proudly.

"Where is your pride old man? do you have no shame?", Han Hao's eyes were twitching uncontrollably.

"What is pride can I eat it? what is shame can I drink it?"

Han Hao veins started convulsing from sheer annoyance.

Han Chang disappeared.

"HAHAHAHA, little Hao you are too young to be so advanced in the dao of annoyance, I am worried you will soon reach the blood spitting stage, especially with those two friends of yours, HAHAHA"

'So you really can spit blood from sheer annoyance, huh' the young breathed in and out trying to calm himself down.

As he thought about what his father told him before, he called the servants to deliver food using his token.

He began to think about the basic technique, from what he read in the library and from what he learned from the jade slip that his father left for him –his eyes twitched at the memory- this technique was incredibly difficult and one of the slowest techniques around, it has two main jobs, set up a decent foundation and prepare the bodies of the young generation for the bloodline awakening ceremony, this technique was useless to anybody without the sect's bloodline, although it would still grant a solid yin-yang cultivation base it would take hundreds of thousands of years just to get through qi refinement rendering it useless, although a truly monstrous heaven defying genius could cut that down to around a hundred years, those people could not be easily found, 'Why is our organization a sect not a clan? after all everyone has the surname Han, I should look that up in father's library later'

The thought about the sect's basic technique naturally awakened the embarrassing memory of six months ago, when Han Hao found a jade slip when he was browsing the combat section in his father library, he much preferred the alchemy and geography sections, but sometimes his curiosity got the best of him and he would look at those techniques he couldn't use yet.

From the jade slip he learned, that the technique he was currently using was the basic version, the teacher decided to remove that label from it, and it was the slowest technique available in our sect, he knew however that this whole situation stunk of his father planning something, after all the jade slip suddenly appeared in the combat section and in the places he frequented the most in the combat section.

However, when he finally broke and tried to ask his father about it.

**********************************************************

Han Chang laughed "so you finally found the jade slip I planted, took you long enough, other techniques maybe faster, but your current one is better for your foundation, you should already know that, it's written in the jade slip".

"What about the advanced version, since its called the basic Taiji method there should be at least a higher tiered one?".

"That's only for the foundation establishment stage, did I forget to record that in the jade slip". Han Chang smiled an innocent smile, as if he didn't intentionally leave that detail out

"You dirty old man, do you think I will really believe such an obvious lie, why did you plant the jade slip anyway?".

"Hmm, I just wanted to give you false hope about the advanced technique, that it could maybe, just maybe give you some cool abilities in your current realm , HAHAHA", he laughed, clearly proud that his prank finally paid off.

**********************************************************

Han Hao's eyed twitched 'shameless old man, wanted to give me hope, just to crush it"

However, that bitter memory gave rise to a fond one, where Han Chang and Han Hao schemed to let everyone in the current generation know everything that was hidden by the teachers: how the teacher restricted them from being able to being able to enter technique pavilion using their tokens, how that their current technique was basic, and how other techniques were "better".

Han Hao still has a recording of the elders face when he saw children clamoring towards him demanding the advanced version or teach them cooler technique 'That old man looked as if he was having war flash backs, hahaha that was the first time that I saw martial uncle's "kindly master" face break'.

The best part was that he, Han Hao was left unscathed, and no matter how Han Chang pleaded that he was the one that came up with the idea, nobody believed him, after all everybody knew that this young master was a polite student who never really pulled s massive prank like this one, unlike his father.

'My body is rested enough, I should be able to endue another cycle before reading some books about herbs'.

He got up from the bed and went to the mat to cultivate once more.

He sat down and began cultivating as he hoped to break through within the next six months.
