11 Chapter 7: Writer's Event Notification

5:00 AM

My phone vibrated as if a new notification appeared, I groaned as I knew it and slowly pulled out my phone in my pockets.

I opened up my phone and read the Notification

SUBMIT UNSOLVED CASE: FELICIA CHAPTER 43

DEADLINE: 24 HOURS

Late of SUBMISSION: Lifespan -50

WORD COUNT REQUIREMENT: 2000

REWARD: Free Shelter, Food Source, Clothes

Accept or Decline

My eyes widened as I saw the rewards, I tried to think first before I tap Accept or Decline.

"If I tap accept now...I need to write a chapter with 2000 words before tomorrow, it's worth it but risky," I said to myself, "but...if I tap decline, I have no chance of getting the free shelter and food source.."

With no hesitation, I quickly tapped Accept. I started typing up 50 words for about 5 minutes.

"I'm so bored.." I said to myself while typing.

30 minutes passed, I reached up to 500 words and saved it. I can't just straightly write all the chapters, a writer like me needs to have a minute to refresh their mind... or to chill.

A knock was heard on the dumpster's lid, I stayed silent because I knew who was it. The knock continued, I sighed and sits up. I opened up my dumpster and stood up, It was Lilith.

"Hey, Shane. I brought you some clothes because you only had that suit. You need casual clothing." Lilith said.

"oh.." I replied. My eyes are half-shut, "Shane, wake up!"

"What do you waaaaant?" I asked.

"Take it," Lilith said to me, I looked onto the clothes she's holding for me, a smile tugs on my face.

"Thank you" I took the clothes Lilith offered me.

"Come out of the dumpster for a minute," Lilith said.

"Why ?" I replied

"Just do it," Lilith said.

"uhhh...okay," I replied confused, I got out of my dumpster, holding the clothes.

"Alriggggghhht!Ivy, come out and help me clean this dumpster"

Lilith shouted, Ivy quickly ran towards the dumpster with a hose and trash bag.

Why my characters are so hype, early in the morning?

"What are you guys doing ?" I asked, looking at Lilith.

"Cleaning your home !" Ivy said to me, I looked at them as they clean my dumpster.

Ivy picked up the trashes in my dumpster while Lilith threw away the plastic bags, my eyes landed on a sleeping bag being placed on the sidewalk.

"We brought that so that you could sleep while we are cleaning," Lilith said, her eyes on the dumpster cleaning it. A smile tugs on my face, Thank you for this, Lilith!" and I walked towards the sleeping bag and doze off

"Wake upppp!" Lilith shouted to me while I was sleeping, I jolted and immediately sits up.

"Do you have any ways on how to wake up a person?" I said as I scratched my head, yawning. Lilith put both hands on my face and made me look at the dumpster.

It looked so clean that it looks like it's a new dumpster.

"oh..wow.." I said to Ivy and Lilith.

"Oh! We also forgot to give you this" Ivy gave me 5 cups of noodles and a kettle

"Oh, you guys give me so much. Thank you" I said to Ivy and Lilith. "But what about you, guys?"

"We are fine" Lilith said, I looked at Ivy, she looks tired from cleaning the dumpster.

Ivy and Lilith's stomach growls.

"I think Ivy and I should go to the restaurant and eat" Lilith said, turning her back on me. Lilith and Ivy started walking away I looked at the clothes with the 5 cups of noodles and the electric kettle.

"How about we eat the cup of noodles together with you guys?" I offered with a smile, Ivy and Lilith turned around and looked at me with a smile. Lilith quickly went to her house to make a hot water.

As we eat, I couldn't help but feel a bit of happiness, looking at the fictional characters that I made, happily eating their noodles. I used to eat my noodles alone, in my apartment, in front of my laptop. A smile tugs on my face, "You really are scary when you smile"

I looked up and both of my characters were looking at me, I chuckled, "I'm not scary, I'm handsome" and they laughed and continued eating.

As Lilith, Ivy and I had finished eating the cup of noodles and they started to walk home, I grabbed the 3 empty cups of noodles. My phone vibrated in my pockets as I went inside my clean dumpster, I pulled out my phone and saw a notification

"EVENT ALERT TOMORROW"

"Event..?" I said to myself, I closed the lid, I turned on my phone to read the full event notification.

"Good day,Great_XiaoCheng!

A Declaration of an Event will occur tomorrow afternoon at 1pm, GMT+8. We will notify and invite everyone when we start streaming the event tomorrow"

"I got to join this Declaration Event tomorrow," I said to myself, I closed my phone and clench my fist to start typing to finish Chapter 43, it's been a while that I joined any of their event.

It's 9pm and I already reached up to 1000 words after many hours, I quickly saved it and gave myself a noodle break.

I tried to reach my hand on one cup of noodles and my phone vibrated in my pockets.

"what is it again.." I said to myself and pulled the phone out of my pockets.

"EVENT PARTICIPATION WILL HAVE A REWARD AND A SPECIAL EQUIPMENT"

"Special Equipment..?" I asked myself, I closed my phone and grabbed the noodles and had a noodle break. I put my empty noodle cup and continued typing up to 2000 words.

I tapped the publish button on the hologram screen and it uploads chapter 43 of the book.

"CONGRATULATIONS! YOU SUCCESSFULLY PUBLISHED CHAPTER 43 OF UNSOLVED CASE FELICIA, YOU ARE FREE TO HAVE A 3 DAYBREAK"

3 days of chilling time, I smiled at the thought but faded as I remember about the event.
