2 Little Date

An exclusive school for affluent and middle-class children, St. George's Academy has all the facilities any parent would desire for their child, including state-of-the-art facilities. During a walk down the stairs, Rafael accidentally bumped into the same woman he had met at Bianca's unforgettable party when he was absent minded. He looked nervously at the girl as he helped her stand up. When he glanced at the girl, his heart began to beat fast.

"I'm sorry about that, are you okay?" Rafael asked, helping her to stand up.

"Rafael, it's me, Kanna," the lass said, smiling brightly at the young man.

A bright smile spread across the young man's face when the lass said, "Rafael, it's me, Kanna." Suddenly Rafael realized he was unintentionally holding Kanna's hand, "Oh, I'm so sorry!" he stuttered. As his shy personality would always overshadow the courage within him, he immediately released her hand and moved slightly away from her. Kanna smiled at him and walked up to him. "It's okay," she said and approached him.

"Would you like me to go to the park with me?" she asked.

A timid Rafael nodded, and the two of them walked out of the canteen to the park where they sat beneath the old Acacia Tree. It was evident that the young man's heart was fluttering, and that his hands were extremely sweaty, as he gazed upon Kanna's irresistible charm, her cheerful voice, and the sparkle in her hazelnut eyes. What kind of person would not fall in love with someone like her?

This is my favorite hangout spot," Kanna said as she looked up into the sky. "The sky is so beautiful, today."

"Not as beautiful as you, though," Rafael replied, twitching his fingers.

She looked at the boy with a radiant smile as she fixed her eyes on him. I find it funny that we've been schoolmates for a long time, but you have only recently had the pleasure of meeting me in person."

In a defensive tone, Rafael replied, "Well, I don't like going out from the classroom except during lunch time. I'm not very good at socializing." He looked up into the blue sky as the bell rang, and immediately, he started talking to Kanna, saying "Let's go?". "I'll take your things with me.".

As they hastily walked to their classroom, Rafael was sweating profusely. Slowly, he gulped his shyness in and bravely asked, "I know it's a bit odd but, can I have your phone number?"

As Kanna said, "I'll take your phone and call your number," Rafael's heart was lifted by angels as he received the call, and when the two of them entered the classroom, Rafael was greeted by his best friend, Eugene, the son of Gustav Ojeda, one of Karl's allies. As opposed to Rafael, Eugene is being groomed to be his father's successor. Due to the pressure and pressure they were under, the two ended up losing the game.

-----

"It's amazing that you've met Kanna Fontierra." Eugene whispered to his best friend. "Did you get her number?"

Rafael nodded and smiled, revealing Kanna's phone number to his friend. Eugene replied ecstatically,

"You're one lucky man." Inquisitive, Rafael wondered why Eugene would give such an information.

"She's like the third of the hottest girls in school."

"Who are the first and the second?" Rafael wondered curiously.

Eugene answered, "Your sisters." "You know, Kanna's father is an influential man in real estate and logistics."

"Well, that makes sense," Rafael murmured as he sat behind his desk, humming softly, "but I think she is the fairest among them all," he added.

"And who is the fairest?" Jiena asked, leaning on the door.

Rafi grinned and looked away from Jiena. "It's not your business," Rafael grinned and turned away from her.

"Let me guess, is it Kanna Roxanne Fontierra?" Jiena asked and sat at her twin brother's desk, answering her own question.

Rafi told his twin sister irritably, "No, that isn't your business," Rafael explained irritably. You are in our class, so go back to your own room."

I'm sure you're in deep love, but I'll keep an eye on you both," Jiena warned, staring at her brother with mischief in her eyes. "I can definitely tell that my brother is deeply in love with me." she added.

Rafael glared at his sister furiously, he replied, "Just go to your room, you nosy buffoon!". He didn't really deny it.

Eugene told the Marino siblings that he heard she had her first boyfriend back in high school but they broke up after a month.

"I know you have an extensive intelligence network Eugene," Jiena said with a smirk.

"One thing that I am really curious about is why she does not show off her luxurious background, unlike you, Jiena, because you are so boastful. " Rafael replied while staring at her sister. She has a beautiful personality, long hair, round angelic eyes and a complexion that is far superior to yours, Jiena. Unlike you, she excels in our class, yet she prefers to remain humble."

As a result of his brother's explicit comparison, Jiena was brutally insulted. When she finished teasing Rafael, she left the room without speaking a word. There is a distinct difference between the twins' relationships, and it's not in a good way. There is an insatiable amount of fighting between the twins on a daily basis. The day will not end without them arguing over nonsensible topics. It was the influence of those around them that brought them to this point.

Before leaving the school, Rafael approached Kanna once more, mustering all the courage and confidence he could muster, he grasped his breath, grasping his breath as he approached Kanna one more time. It was Rafael who said, "Kanna? Tomorrow is Saturday, if you are free, I would love to invite you out for dinner. Would you be interested?"

Rafael's sudden proposal to Kanna surprised both their classmates and friends alike. Eugene stared at his best friend, stunned, while Jiena glanced at her and waited for her to respond.

Kanna was astounded by the invitation. "I was not expecting that. Thank you for the invitation, Rafael. I look forward to having dinner with you. I will let you know the details by text, alright?" an ecstatic Kanna accepted the invitation with enthusiasm without any hesitation. "See you tomorrow, then," she said as she smiled brightly.

After hearing Kanna's immediate response, Rafael's eyes dilated. He was on cloud nine and his heart skipped a beat and he couldn't stop smiling as they headed home. They were at home when they came back, and when they got home, they went to the kitchen and saluted the man who was reading the newspaper in front of them. Their father was sitting there with his eyes closed as he stared at them with a frown on his face.u look like wet crumpled paper to throw." Karl brutally told the old man.

----

Riko instructed the children to bow as a sign of respect to their grandfather, Hirofumi Minomoto, who is Riko's father. They did as she instructed, bowed as a sign of respect to their grandfather. After the gesture, Riko smiled proudly and said, "Now, we're going to have our sumptuous dinner in just a few minutes."

After Karl married Riko, Hirofumi and I have been shrugging cold shoulders at each other. They have been tying themselves up constantly just because Karl is not Japanese. Karl, on the other hand, is not Japanese. In Hirofumi's eyes, Karl had always been treated as a waste of time and energy, claiming that he was not suitable for her daughter and that Riko had given up her career in order to marry someone like him. In contrast, Karl ignores Hirofumi's insults and instead throws shade at his father-in-law, drawing the ire of the old man who is quite disgusted with his son's behavior.

Hirofumi Minomoto was a typical Japanese salaryman working for a loan company, and had two children, Riko Minomoto and Hiroshi Minomoto. As soon as the third world war broke out, he found himself laid off from his company, making him rely on both her daughter Riko, who works as an actress and Hiroshi, who works for a moving company as a driver. As soon as Hirofumi saw Karl and Riko get married, he was disgusted with him, thinking that someone like Karl married his daughter in order to obtain a Japanese visa. he would've wanted his daughter to marry a millionaire, politician or a businessman, even a good-looking foreigner, but not the likes and the looks of Karl. It would have been better if his daughter had married a millionaire, a politician or a businessman, even a good-looking foreigner, but he would not have wanted her to marry someone with Karl's looks. Hirofumi had called his son-in-law names, ranging from 'monkey', 'fat lard', to 'an ugly, useless son-in-law'.

----

Few minutes later, the Marino siblings went to the dining area and settled down, Riko had place sumptuous food on the table, they feasted all of her cooked dishes, from Miso soup, steamed dory to mixed vegetables. However, the aura was tense as Hirofumi and Karl remained silent.

"You've been the mayor of this City for six years, but you have never taken advantage of your influence or power to expand your business," Hirofumi said, making his first move. "I mean, you have to grab opportunities while you are in power." he added.

---

"I would be unfair to other businesses if I did that," Karl argued. "As for Riko and the rest of my relatives, they are doing well in managing the business".

"I don't think you are using your brain. Look at Harris, my assistant, he does. His brain has expanded my business."

"Oto-sama, don't compare me to a frog. Stop bragging about that secretary you have."

"He has a dream, unlike you, who don't even have a dream or vision."

"I have! Karl raised his voice, "I was already in the gates of heaven, and Saint Peter was standing by the gate when I said this." He asked me, "Iho, what is your name?" and I answered, "I'm Karl Marino. After asking me the same question again, "What is the name of your wife?" and I replied "Riko Minomoto" to that, so Saint Peter asked me again, "Is your father-in-law Hirofumi Minomoto?" and I replied, "Yes. He then asked me to enter the gates of heaven without any hesitation in my mind."

Hirofumi's face turned red, slamming the door while glaring at Karl, knowing that his son-in-law's remarks were meant to be insulting. "You imp, despicable bastard, you hellhound! I'm gonna kill you!" he said.

As his father-in-law yelled in anger, Karl laughed and stood up, "Riko, I'm done, thanks for the food."

Riko rubbed her father's back, "Karl's just kidding you know." Hirofumi heard his teasing and inauspicious laughter and felt his son-in-law still roasting him even from afar, so he walked down to his room slowly. After finishing his food, Rafael followed his father, who was watching the news on a couch.

"Dad, I have something to ask," says Rafael, who again tries to muster courage in front of his dad, who is blankly staring at him.

"Ask, what is it?" Karl asked

The request is to do or give something." Rafael promptly replied, "But that's not important right now. I'll have a date tomorrow with one of my classmates, so I'll ask for some money."

"It's nice to know you're going out," Karl said, taking out his wallet. "Here's two thousand. I think that's enough for one night."

"Dad, I think this is not enough to buy roses, chocolates and a teddy bear," Rafael complained, scratching his head, "How about our dinner date?"

"You're not eating in a five-star restaurant, aren't you?" a confounded Karl asked his son, clinching his wallet, raising his eyebrows.

"I wouldn't let my date eat street food," Rafael explained, sitting next to his dad on the couch. "It would be disappointing since it's our first date."

"What kind of stomach does she have?!!" Karl shouted, "Is it gold that you want to have your first date in a fancy restaurant?"

"Dad, I have to impress her!" Rafael reasoned out, Karl shakes his head in disbelief, taking out three thousand cash from his wallet.

"If it ends in a flop, I'll really beat the crap out of you," a visibly pissed Karl warned his son, putting back his wallet back in his pocket.

"How about the gas for the car?" Rafael requested once more, causing his father to point his finger at him.

"How about I withhold your allowance for the entire month?" an irate Karl replied, "you're asking too much as if your father is a Sultan."

Rafael went out of his father's room, elated by the cash he received for his upcoming date, Jiena stood in the hallway and approached her twin brother.

"Can't you just be supportive of me?" Rafael pleaded to Jiena, who was raising her eyebrows at her brother.

"Did I say anything?" Jiena asked, knowing already what his brother's reaction the moment she approaches him and smiled faintly, "Good Luck on your date".

---

It was five in the afternoon, Rafael was driving his black Toyota Prius going to a posh village at Goldenberg estates. He parked his car near the waiting shed, scanning the surroundings. The young man glances at his watch and it was 3:40. Slowly he noticed Kanna walking towards the waiting she, wearing a skinny jeans and a white crop top. His eyes grew big and his heart started beating fast as he emerged out of his vehicle holding flowers and chocolates.

"Hi Kanna" Rafael greeted, presenting the bouquet of roses and chocolates for the lass.

"Thank you so much, you're such a nice guy," Kanna told the young man.

"Let's go?"

"Sure, Thank you for inviting me," Kanna replied.

"No problem, I should be the one saying that," Rafael said, opening the car's door for Kanna.

The two enjoyed conversing with each other while heading towards a local mall, there was no dull minute between them from playing arcade to strolling down the mall before settling down at a fancy restaurant, Rafael laid his eyes on Kanna, clutching both of his hands on his legs while they sat in front of the table facing each other.

"It's so expensive here," Kanna remarked, looking at the whole place.

"But it's worth it," Rafael responds, staring at the lady. "The food here is delicious."

"I saw your father at an event the other day. His speeches are so hilarious, there was no dull moment, and everyone was laughing."

"It's always his nature to make everyone laugh, I guess none of my siblings got that genes."

"Each of you has a different personality, maybe one of your siblings might inherit his genes."

"My younger siblings are child prodigies, so I may not know if they inherited something from my dad, he is one unpredictable person," slowly, the dishes that they ordered arrived one by one.

"How about your mom?" Kanna asked, looking at her plate filled with grilled lamb meat.

"Which Mom? my step-mom or my real mother?" Rafael asked "If you're talking about my real mother, I haven't met her ever since, my Dad has always told me and Jiena that we were a product of a one-night stand and were left outside his house, but he is really our biological dad."

"How about your stepmom?"

"She was a former actress back in Tokyo, she retired when Dad asked her to be part of our trading business. She is in charge of facilitating Tokyo and Seoul related goods."

"You really have an interesting family," Kanna said "Usually, my siblings and I are left alone in our house because my Mom also has taping sessions and my Dad has business around the country."

"Don't you feel sad about it?" Rafael asked, sipping his glass of juice.

"I do, but I can't question them," Kanna answered, "They're my parents, but there is something I wanted to know."

"What is it?"

"We were in the same section, we were schoolmates but you didn't notice me,"

Rafael's face flushes red as he focuses on his plate, slicing the lamb "I- I really didn't notice you until recently."

"Everyone knows me."

"But as I have said, I am a shy-type of person."

"And you have mustered enough courage to ask me on a date," says Kanna with a smirk.

"I-I," Rafael had a frog in his throat, looking away at the lass.

As conversation grew longer, Rafael and Kanna became comfortable with each other, although they just met two weeks earlier. Rafael's eyes were locked on to Kanna as she continued talking about what do in her life and her passion. He stared like there was no tomorrow, her innocent face, round eyes and voluptuous body made his heart flutter.

"Are you listening?" Kanna stares at Rafael. the young man was still at awe with the presence of a Goddess.

"I do," Rafael answered "It's just that I just love looking at an angel like you."

"Stop it silly," Kanna chuckled, flattered by the young man's remarks.

After eating dinner, Rafael and Kanna strolled around the mall again to unwind before settling down at a park overlooking a huge mall pool.

"I really enjoyed our date tonight," said Kanna, holding Rafael's right hand.

"I....I'm glad you had fun," a stuttered Rafael replied, making his heart feel at ease.

"I hope we get to know each other well," said Kanna, "I find you very interesting after all."

"And I must have been a fool that I never noticed your beauty."

"And I never noticed that you're one shy gentleman."

"I want to know more about you," says Rafael leans forward and locks eyes with the lass.

Kanna tucks her brown hair behind her ear, which is as red as her face. Her eyes dart back and forth between her hand and Rafael's hazelnut eyes. "You're one aggressive fellow, aren't you?"

"Not at all," Rafael responds, shaking his head.

Kanna chuckled, looking at Rafael, whose face was as red as a tomato. After strolling at the mall, Rafael drove Kanna back to her house at a posh village.

"Thank you, I really had so much fun," Kanna said, briefly holding Rafael's hand, "We should do this more often."

"Sure," Rafael nodded, "See you on Monday."

After Kanna went inside her house, Rafael smiled. It was mission accomplish for him, their first date was a success and with his heart filled with contentment, he left the posh village and went home.
