3 Sam's Party

Loud music boomed across the hall and colorful lights flickered up in the air. People danced wildly on the living room of the mansion which served as the dance floor. Ashley raised the shot glass in her hands and clanked it with the others'.

"Cheers!" she said and drank it, feeling the alcohol slide deep in her throat. It left a burning sensation and she closed her eyes as she savored the feeling.

She was a little bit tipsy. They've been drinking for two hours since she arrived. Her friend poured her another glass to drink but she raised her hand to stop her. She remembered that she'd have to drive home. It'll be dangerous if she was dead drunk.

"Hey! I'll be driving home tonight!" she shouted.

"What? " her friend asked because she didn't seem to hear her because of the blasting music. Ashley moved her head closer to her friend's ear and shouted once more.

"I said! I won't be drinking anymore! I'll drive home!" she said.

Her friend looked at her with a slightly opened mouth and nodded. It must've taken her seconds to process what she said. She giggled and drank the whole bottle. She was clearly drunk herself. Some of her friends tried to stop her and Ashley only laughed at this.

Oh typical Sam!

She was really a wild one. She was the one who held this party and this mansion was where she lived. This friend of hers, was well known as a party animal. She would party till dawn and wake up to party the next day.

As for her parents, they didn't care. They were filthy rich and they didn't know nor cared about what she did. They were always out of the country so she grew up without anyone guiding her.

Ashley continued to watch as Sam struggled against their friends. She just laughed at her state. Though she was like that, she was nice and fun to be with.

A girl suddenly tapped her shoulder. She turned her head to look at the person. It was Cassie, also one of her friends. They just met this last semester as she was introduced by a common friend. Their social circle was quite big because some came from different departments in their university. She was from the Medicine department and had a very pleasant personality.

Cassie looked at her worriedly and asked if she was alright. She just smiled back at the cute blondie. The girl turned her head to converse with the others.

Ashley looked at the time, it was almost one in the morning. She decided that it was time for her to go home.

She went to Sam who was currently lying down on the sofa. She was covering her face with her arms and it seemed that she'll doze off any minute. She looked like a mess. Ashley lightly knudged her shoulders making her jolt in surprise.

She groaned and removed her hands to look at the person who disturbed her. She revealed a grumpy expression which immediately softened when she realized that it was Ashley.

"I'm going home now." Ashley said.

"What? Why?"

"There's school tomorrow. Besides I'm already tipsy. I need to drive."

Sam frowned and rolled her eyes.

"F*ck School! You can sleep over."

"No." she said quickly. That wasn't a good idea. She knew how much of a ruckus this place will be tomorrow morning. She would feel guilty if she didn't help her in fixing the house and that'll end up making her late for school.

"Whatever... "

Sam rose from the couch and hugged Ashley to kiss her in the cheek.

"Goodbye, drive safely..."

She seemed that she wasn't drunk at all. It didn't surprise Ashley. It was one of her friend's quirks. Having a high tolerance in alcohol.

"Thank you." she said and kissed her back in the cheek.

She stood up to go to her other friends and bid them goodbyes. They asked her if it was alright for her to drive alone while drunk but she only shook her head and said that she was fine. She reasoned out that she wasn't drunk but only tipsy.

When she was done, she squeezed herself in the crowd to go out to her car. She reached for her phone to see if she's got any text messages and tugged it back to her purse when there was none.

She entered her car. The first thing she did was turn on the volume of her car's speaker. She selected her favorite song and rested her head on the wheel for about five minutes. She was completely fine now. She was still intoxicated but she could think straight.

She started her car and drove while singing her song. Sam's house was situated in an exclusive villa so it was quite far away from the city where her house was.

She drove for minutes and came to a stop when there was traffic. She was suddenly confused why there was traffic at this late hour. She realized that maybe they were fixing the road.

She leaned back to her seat and just observed as the cars fell in line. It was a bummer because the traffic looked like it'll last for hours. She looked around to distract herself from boredom. If she continued like this she'll probably fall asleep.

She turned the volume of the music higher and sang along the lyrics to entertain herself. Her eyes kept on roaming around but eventually stopped on the car in front her. It was a taxi. No. To be specific her eyes widened at the scene in front of her. Two people were openly making out at the backseat of the taxi.

She gasped and covered her mouth when she saw them doing a bold act in the middle of a traffic.

They were basically sucking the life out of each other. The guy was even kissing the girl's neck and she looked like she was enjoying it. They looked like they were about to have s*x at the backseat.

Ashley couldn't help but sympathize with the driver. He must be in a super awkward position. She decided to shift her attention elsewhere afraid that they will catch her looking at both of them.

It wasn't like she was enjoying it. It was extremely awkward!

Her forehead creased when she realized that she recognized the girl. It was like she saw her somewhere. Her eyes widened when she realized who it was. It was her neighbor! Rebecca.
