8 Disintegrate into Ashes

Even the strange man started to lose his balance while sticking his body above the car, the car shook intensely and it was heading towards the giant tree. He needed to go down. He steadied himself and tried to fly off the car but he noticed his fangs were stuck.

"Shit!" he said.

He desperately tried to remove it. His fangs wouldn't budge, it was pierced too tightly to the roof. He suddenly regretted doing this. He wasn't expecting the girl to have guts. She was clearly willing to let go of her pathetic life just to kill him.

Too bad he couldn't be killed. Though this body could—

He frowned. If something happened after this, he would be fuming mad because he wouldn't have his revenge. He would find a new body from 'them', if there are some of them still left alive. He knew she was wiping them off one by one.

He continued his attempts which all went down the drain. They were about to crash to the tree when 'she' suddenly stopped the collision. She appeared in front of the giant tree and reached out to grab the front of the spinning car. The front was completely wrecked as her palms dug to it with her strong hold.

With the sudden halt, the force made the strange man fly forward to the giant tree. He couldn't stop himself from being thrown off, it was as if his body suddenly froze.

'I've been caught'

He knew it was too late. She already regained her strength in just a short time. This was already a checkmate for him.

He flew towards the tree and his body was smashed to its wide trunk. Contrary to his expectations, it didn't break. Instead gold chains trapped his arms and legs. He growled when he felt the chain slowly sinking into his flesh. It burned his skin. The woman immediately steadied the car and left it to approach the strange man's chained body.

Good thing she applied a stronger seal...

She didn't want to use that because she would have to rest for—... after this.

But... She really didn't have a choice anymore.

She grabbed his neck and immediately released a surge of power from her palm.

The strange man's eyes almost popped out from his head. Her power was too intense it was painful. He was automatically sucking out of her body. He was supposed to be feeling delighted with what she was doing. However, he knew this body couldn't take it.

After seconds of continually absorbing her excessive energy, he let out a strained growl and looked at her with bloodshot eyes.

The woman wasn't looking good herself. She was pale and one can see how much pain she is in. She was already panting and her legs were losing their strength.

"You'll pay for this! Arggh! Once—Ha...Once..I'll come back! *Growl *"

She tightened her hold to his neck and his eyes rolled to the back of his head. His feet was fluttering under the shackles. The shackles tightened even more.

*Splat

The man's body exploded. Black fluid splattered everywhere. His head was still in her hands, as well as his hands and legs are still chained to the tree. Other than that his body parts were blown off elsewhere.

The woman wiped her face because it was full of the man's blood. She removed her hold to his neck. It instantly fell to the ground. Her feet slumped to the grounds and she searched for air.

She watched as pieces of his limbs turned to dust and was blown off to the air. It was disintegrating and his head which was facing her crumbled.

She blew a sigh of relief when she was slowly recovering. She stood up immediately when she remembered that Ashley was still trapped inside the car. She needed to save her before it's too late. She wasn't sure if she was still alive because she banged her head to her seat from the impact of the car's sudden halt.

She quickly retrieved her body from the driver's seat and laid her on the ground. The girl's eyes were closed and her breath kept getting shallow. She was pale and though she was wearing a leather top, her arms and shoulders were covered with blood.

The woman touched her body and inspected her wounds. She frowned when there were two holes in the girl's abdomen. It came from the man's fangs. It was definitely a bad omen. His fangs were like injection. It meant that he already fed from a part of the girl's soul. Her soul was broken, it was incomplete. If she didn't do anything the girl would quickly pass away.

But... Her body might not handle her healing. After all, the girl was human. Her physique is not strong enough to endure the power. She might explode like what happened to that creature.

However, it was better to try than let her die. Even though it might take a heavy toll in her body, it was better than death. She suddenly felt sorry for the poor girl. She was unfortunate to be caught victim to this odd situation. She needed to save her life.

Lifting her up with her arms. She placed the girl on her lap and released a seal in her palms. A golden glow appeared enveloping her hands and she gently placed it to her abdomen. The girl flinched with her eyes still closed.

She directed her palms to the punctured area. She released a surge of her energy. Seconds later, black fluid splurged out of the wounds. She writhed in pain as she felt the energy entering her soul.

'A little bit more...'

The woman watched as the girl was in pain like a wounded animal. Her nose was already bleeding, if this continued she'll die.

She instantly removed her palms and the girl's struggling stopped. Her life was now saved it was a relief that she made it.

' Now... I have to do one last thing.' the woman thought.

Releasing a faint glow, she placed her finger in the center of her forehead.
