6 'She' in a Cloak

Ashley raised her bleeding head to look at the person who had just arrived. Her saviour... She couldn't see who the person was. The person was wearing a cloak, she also had his back towards her. It was impossible to decipher his appearance.

"What?!.. You've come to kill me again?" he said with so much hate. It was seething through his skin.

"You aren't supposed to be alive..." the woman whispered.

Ashley was suddenly startled when she heard a woman's voice. Coming from the man's expression he seemed to be afraid by this woman's sudden appearance. She didn't know if she was 'saved' or was faced in another dilemma.

"Shut up! Who do you think you are! You know I can't die!"he shouted. "We're the same!"

"No. We're not... You're evil..."

His expression turned twisted at her reply. He growled in anger. What she said held a grave insult on him. He suddenly had the urge to kill the woman though he knew he didn't stand a chance against her.

The man ran towards the cloaked woman to attack her. The woman instantly disappeared. She appeared behind the man with a long piece of metal. It came from the car's debris. She instantly nudged it towards his chest. Her movements were so fast, Ashley's eyes couldn't keep up. She was at loss at the events that transpired in front of her.

The man tried to dodge but it still pierced his chest. He shouted in anger, not out of pain. He wasn't human after all. The woman pushed the metal further to his chest. She did it with so much strength he was thrown off to the tree. The long metal, still in the man's chest, stuck to  the tree. He was trapped and couldn't remove it. It was buried too deep. It punctured out to the other side of the tree's trunk.

His fangs that were so long started to shrink and the feathers on his neck disappearing, only leaving him with a horrendous scarred face. He growled and a lot of blood came out of his mouth. It was obvious that the piece of metal gravely injured him. He wriggled and tried to pull it out. He shouted in pain when his hand was burnt from the touch.

"What did you do?!" he asked.

The woman didn't answer him and instead faced Ashley who was frozen stiff. She looked stoic at first but Ashley realized that she seemed to be enduring something.

"Quick! Leave!" she said, commanding her. "I can't hold him any longer."

Ashley woke up from her stupor when she heard her imposing voice. She stumbled as she stood up. She reached to touch her back, only to discover that it was soaked with a lot of blood.

"Arggh!"

She turned to look at the man. She was frightened once again. Though his hand were already melting, he still tried his best to remove the piece of metal.

"Arggh! Curse you!" he said.

He looked at the woman but then noticed that the woman was also struggling as she stood up. Ashley didn't understand anything at all. Like what caused his hand to burn like that and what she was talking about when she said she was holding him off. She was just basically just standing there sweating profusely. A lot of questions bugged her mind. It made her feel like this world was a lie, she was like in a film. It was so surreal.

Her lips parted in shock and confusion. She didn't really know what to do anymore.

"I said leave!" the woman shouted.

She was startled when she shouted like she was in pain. The strange man suddenly turned his head to where Ashley was. He quickly realized that he didn't succeed in killing his poor victim. He revealed a sneer but it changed into a sinister smile when he quickly thought of something.

So. 'She' was protecting that human?

That was why she bounded him here and was using her powers to seal him. Though he wasn't strong enough to go against her, trying to seal him was ineffective. Something was odd. She was clearly struggling in front of him. He clearly remembered how strong she was before he died. Along with those wretched...

His face was transforming back to its state when he tried to kill Ashley moments ago. His sudden surge of power came from his will to break free and kill the puny little human 'she' badly wanted to protect.

'I'll destroy you. ' he vowed to himself as he looked at 'her'.

Seeing him transform back, Ashley quickly followed the woman's command. With a limp physique she tried her best to approach her car by crawling towards it.

The woman intensified the seal she was performing through the metal. She knew that this wasn't a good sign. Him waking up was the worst thing that could ever happen. Especially now that she lost half of her powers. She needed to reseal him again but it seems that it is too late for that.

She didn't know how he resurrected, though he was still weak now his powers grew by seconds. She was terrified with what he might do.

Ashley was already in front of her car and she reached out to open it. She removed the glass that struck her foot when the explosion happened and attempted to stand up. She tried so many times but failed. She toughened her self up, reminding her that there was the monster who almost killed her. He was very much alive and was obviously changing his mind to come at her.

With a final push to her limit she stood up and immediately opened the door of the driver's seat and  made her body fall to it. When back touched struck the leather seat, she cried out in pain. Small bits of glass buried deep into her back, some managing to hit her spine. Tears gushed out of her eyes and blood flowed down the corner of her lips.

She exerted herself to the max and she grew numb of the pain. She started her car without hesitation.

As long as she got out of here she would still live.

.... she promised herself that.
