When Alex saw his status, he was a little startled and didn't understand anything at all. He thought if it a system, then there should be Strength, Agility, and Intelligent type of things. But the things that appear in front of his eyes are completely different.

But after doing some clicking on his status, Alex found out what they were. First of all, this system, which was currently showing him his status, was made to be only be used in Trial Land. So he wasn't sure now the status panel of the Ascension system looks like.

Second, there wouldn't be an exact number of exp he needed to level up; instead, it will be shown in %. When this percentage hits 100%, he will level up. Battle Power is his strength, agility, and his vitality all combined.

The time shown in status was the time he has left in Trial Land. In simple words, after 20 hours were up, he will be sent back to Earth. The next day once again, at the same time, he will be summoned back to the Trial land. Alex will once again have 24 hours before he will be forced to leave again.

And the ability Devour has been given to every single living or dead being that is under Ascension System rule. It helps in Devouring the leftover energy after killing any living being; this is like gaining exp after killing a Monster.

After unlocking his Statt, Alex first decided to look around the forest for a while. After getting up, he was surprised not to see the bat corpse. It was like it turned into nothingness, but now there was a dagger at the place where the bat corpse should be.

'This must be the drop!' Thinking this, Alex walked toward the dagger and grabbed it carefully. Then his eyes fell on the dagger, which looks to be glowing, a panel appears in front of him.

Seeing the status of the dagger. Alex didn't know what to say, 'Are these statuses good or worthless?' This question appears in his mind the moment he saw dagger status. Alex tried to some clicking as he did with his status panel but nothing. He didn't find anything that can help him understand if the dagger in his hands is good nor bad.

Having a weapon is better than going unarmed. Before doing anything, he decided to explore all the functions that the system has to offer. But *alas*, "Are you serious; aside from showing the information of things and my own status, this thing only has an inventory."

After getting disappointed by the system, Alex looked around the forest for a while to calm himself down. After calming down, he starts to think about a plan as to how he is going to kill 100 demonic bats.

"Maybe I can kill some weaker Monsters in this place and level up, then killing the demonic bats will become easier. This way, I can also get the hang of fighting these Monsters."

After making his mind, Alex started to look for any weak-looking Monsters to kill. As he started looking for weak Monsters, something started bugging him a lot.

"Wait, why the hell I'm looking for Monsters to kill. Wasn't it me who was very sacred a moment ago, but now why I'm thinking of killing monsters that can kill me easily?"

The more he thought about it, the more doubtful he grows. Recalling all the dangerous things that happen to him in this last hour. Alex didnt felt afraid anymore; instead, it was like fear didnt hold any meaning to him anymore.

But he didn't think about it anymore because he feels it has something to do with the strange energy that heals his leg. Without thinking about this matter anymore, Alex first walks toward the forest because he didn't want to encounter any deadly Sea Monsters while staying at the shore.

After he was some distance away from the bat's cave, Alex looked around a little to find some Monsters to kill. In no time, he found an ant that was about the size of a newborn human baby.

Alex quickly used his dagger to stab the only ant, which seems to be lost. Beacuse even a fool knows that ants always travel in a group. When the dagger hit the ant, Alex's hands start shaking. It was like he hit a hard rock.

It seems like the ant shell is harder than he thought; Alex directly aims for the ant head. But surprisingly, the ant head was even tougher.

But the ant in front of Alex got annoyed with him constantly attacking it, so it spits some strange acid toward him. Thankfully, Alex was quick enough to dodge it.

Right after dodging the attack, Alex takes a deep breath and starts to think about the ant weak spot subconsciously. Suddenly a light flashes through Alex's eyes, and he attacked the ant belly. Before long, grey color blood starts to come out of the ant's body, and the ant died.

The moment the ant died, its body starts to disappear, as strange energy come out of the ant body and entered Alex's body. Before long, the ant body disappears, and Alex found a bow and a set of the arrow at the spot where the ant corpse vanished.

Alex went over there; picks both arrows and bow. The moment they were in his hand, a Status Panel appears in front of him.

After seeing the status of both bow and arrows, a thought crosses his mind, 'What if I use these bow and arrows and hunt bats in that cave.'

After thinking over this carefully, Alex walks toward the entrance of the cave. After reaching the entrance of the cave, he didn't directly go inside but instead picks a small stone nearby and throw it inside the cave.

When that stone hit the ground, it made some sound.

*thud* *thud* *thud*

Hearing the stone sound, many bats come out of the cave. They look at Alex with their hungry eyes. In an instant, no more than 6 bats were rushing toward Alex with their knife-like teeth read to devour him whole.

He quickly loads an arrow into the bow and then aims it toward the wings of the bats. There were two reasons behind it; first, the wings of these bats are large. Secondly, if these wings got damaged, he will easily able to kill them because they will lose their ability to fly.

Although he was never used a bow before, for some reason, the bow in his hand feels so natural. After shooting his first arrow, Alex starts running out of the forest while also shooting arrows at the bats who were chasing after him.

Although he wasn't able to kill a single bat, the damage he dealt was very severe. There are many holes in the bat's wings as they keep pursuing Alex. In this pursuit, they fell a lot, but this didn't stop the bats. They got up and once again, start chasing Alex.

In no time, Alex was once again back to the same place where he killed his first monster.
