131 A True, Pure Warrior

Mitsuna, seeing as nearly no one was around to see all her abilities, activated her Skills.

Each one that could give her any kind of advantage.

Activating her current strongest element, the surrounding temperature spiked as the sand surrounding her wounds turned to glass and her sword lit ablaze into a scarlet red.

The sword started to slowly melt but was sticking to its shape thanks to Mitsuna's mana flow holding it together.

Two pairs of wings materialized on her back, one pair white and the other black.

Instead of the generic angel feathers covering the wings, they were bigger and more similar to phoenix feathers.

Her eyes turned sharp as her free arm turned ablaze just as her sword did.

For the finishing touches, the flame started to have a purplish edge to it as it was infused with her poison skill.

Pushing her skill control to the limit, she created thin lines of silk that came from the fingers on her free hand.

Extending them to the length of her sword, Mitsuna was almost finished with her preparations.

Lastly, Mitsuna spoke.

"<Increase Self Status>, <Weaken Opponent>."

Percy laughed.

"I'll go all out too then!"

He yelled as he seemed to grow stronger.

"[Power of The Poor], [Strength of The Weak]!"

Nothing seemed to change. And yet.

He seemed a lot more dangerous.

"More! I need more power!"

The yelled to himself and as he did, the surrounding pressure emitted by him increased.

Appraising him, Mitsuna was shocked.

[Percy Louh

Title: Revolutionary, System Defier, Madman, Megalomaniac

Race: Human

Class: None

Level: ??? ]

'Really?!'

Calming down, Mitsuna made her move before he could grow more.

Teleporting behind him, Mitsuna stabbed her arm forward and managed to lightly pierce his arm.

Percy still managed to react and retreat a few steps.

'I feel faster. Though my mana won't last much longer. I am using it faster than I am regenerating it.'

All the sand in the area was turned to glass and reflected the red sky and the flying fire that Mitsuna produced.

Clashing with the almost invisible will and aura of Percy, it was an incredible spectacle.

It was a work of art that only one man could see. Achillie.

Mitsuna released one of her most dangerous Techniques.

[Flurry of Decay].

Surprisingly, however, Percy broke the Technique with his very own.

Simply named, [Strike].

The flurry of shadow disappeared as Percy punched forward again.

"I'll show you some real Techniques!"

An entire wall of attacks with strange and unpredictable patterns launched forward, tearing through the ground and air.

Shattered glass flew in the strong wind as Mitsuna used a Technique of her own to protect herself.

Going into full concentration mode, aura enveloped her sword as she activated [Consume].

Activating a Technique from her Lunar Cinders moveset, she used [Rekindle] as the previously scarlet flame on her sword turned blue, increasing its power as it was combined with her element.

As Percy punched at the ground and a large shockwave of invisible aura spears launched at Mitsuna, she activated both the [Frostspark] Technique from her Solar Snow moveset and the [Still Ocean] Technique from her Sunken Rot moveset.

Pieces of ice that seemed to hold the sun appeared in the surroundings.

They reflected light at Percy, momentarily blinding him as the wave of dark water hit his feet and Mitsuna appeared next to him, slicing with her weapon across his chest.

As her attack landed, she was surprised to feel a sudden spike in pain.

Percy had anticipated the attack and landed a full power straight hook at Mitsuna the moment her attack had connected to him.

A large bruise appeared on her stomach as Percy's knuckle dusters did quite a large amount of damage.

Mitsuna was pushed back only for another attack to land on her stomach.

Percy had not backed off even as blood poured out of his wounds.

His smile was still ever-present.

Mitsuna waved her free hand as fire covered strands of silk cut through Percy's body, yet he persisted.

As another attack was about to land straight on her face, Mitsuna hurridly teleported away.

'Damn. I'm running out.'

Mitsuna was dizzy, her head ached and she felt drained.

The hand that held her sword was limp.

The sword fell to the ground and melted as no more mana was keeping it in shape.

"Ah! No weapons then?! Great idea!"

Percy took off his knuckle dusters and threw them away, they were heavy enough to crack and break through the thick layer of glass.

'I don't have enough mana to let the glass cool down.'

Mitsuna thought as she deactivated the ice magic she had been using so that the molten glass would cool down and turn solid.

She looked at her wounds.

'Why am I not regenerating?'

She spat out and looked at her health.

'About... 30%?'

Appraising Percy, she still could see neither his health nor mana.

Thinking about it, she had yet to sense any mana from him.

'Don't tell me... He's still holding back?'

"Oi."

Mitsuna spoke as she kept herself from falling.

"Yes? Did you drop your weapon on accident? Or do you just want more of a challenge in fighting me?"

Percy asked as he jumped from side to side in a 'ready to start boxing' stance.

"Why haven't you used any mana?"

"Mana?"

Percy asked as his eye slightly narrowed.

"I don't have it and I don't need it!"

"Huh, then. Why aren't I healing? You said a while ago that you didn't need Skills either yet you're clearly using one."

"Nope! That's not one of those useless and pointless Skills that the stupid Screen 'gifts' people with! This is my own Skill! A Unique Skill for only me that the stupid System doesn't count as one!"

"You sure are weird."

"If I am weird for rejecting something as stupid as that cursed Screen, then you all are Mad."

'Says the guy with the Madman Title.'

Mitsuna let her wings disappear as she focused her eyes on Percy.

The hand that let go of her sword burst into flame just like her other one, the purple edge disappeared as she didn't have enough mana to constantly make poison.

Observing Percy, her eyes shined as she got into the same boxing stance as he was in.

"Why don't you tell me about your 'Skills' then?"
