15 A Raid at Newground
Looking around the town some more Mizuki landed infront of an inn of sorts.
She didn't bother reading the name, went inside, bought a room for the night and went to sleep.
Looking at the ceiling of the room while laying on the bed she thought to herself after checking her status page.

'A single night is 1 silver. Now I only have 16 left, not that good. Did I get scammed by Borm or something? Either that or this inn is supposed to be luxury which it does not seem like.'
'Eh. Whatever. I can just gain some money by selling monster corpses to the adventurers guild or something.. Do they even buy monster corpses?'
Thinking about ways to make money for a few more minutes she finally went to sleep.

Late into the night.
The town of Newground seemed to be at war.
Demons were attacking, explosions rang out around the city the smell of death was strong.
Meanwhile.
"Uuugghhhh. Shut up~"
Mizuki waved her hand and a sound barrier was constructed around the inn she was staying at.
"It's not even morning yet so at least start the war after dinner or something." with another wave of her hand a second spell was cast.
This spell would multiply the gravity of every single living creature by the amount of movements they make.
Just a few minutes after the start of the war, silence returned to the town.
...
"Why the hell can't anyone move?!"
"Is this gravity magic? Who the hell could use gravity magic in this dump!?"
"Captain! We can't fight back the demons if no one can move!"
"I know that dumb*ss! Can anyone cast magic that allows us to move? The one who cast this spell must have something terrible planned!" shouted the guard captain.
"Wait you people didn't cast this?" a demon shouted back.
"Why would we if it renders us immobile?!"
"Well none of the demons here can use gravity magic."
"So who the hell cast it?!"
"How am I supposed to know?!"
While the demons and the city guards were arguing Mizuki finally fell back asleep and the spell weakend slightly.
"Hey I broke out!"
"The spell has weakend!"
"Let's ransack the place while no one can move!"
And the moment the explosions started again, they stopped again. But this time the gravity started to increase tremendously. The moment anyone tried to move their bones were broken.
If they were unlucky, they were smushed into paste.
Back at the inn.
"Dammit I forgot about the vibrations through the ground. God this is annoying, people can't just shut up for a single night?"
Mizuki was improving her barrier to stop all vibrations from coming close. After she finished she laid down and went back to sleep.

'This town is comprised of mostly tier 2 and 3 individuals. Most likely the one who made this spell is either a high ranking tier 3 or a tier 4. If we had someone higher tier than the caster we could stop this spell. Sadly no one here is tier 4 not to mention 5.'
"We really are unlucky. If the caster can do this with a single spell than no one can stop them if they plan to r*pe, pillage or do something even more horrible."
"And the demons aren't safe either."
"Mhm. Say. Why did you guys even invade? I know that the situation between humans and demons isn't that great but we aren't in the middle of a war are we?"
"Oh that. Well the leader of this here town has inslaved a few demons and is keeping them within his private mansion. If that was all then we would just notify some of our higher ups but the fact that one of them is a demon king candidate is a whole other can of worms."
"A demon king candidate is inside the town leaders mansion?!"
"Yep. It's would be the same reaction if a demon would kidnapp one of your hero candidates. Would you just sit back and relax?"
"Hell no! The hero is the one who keeps the monsters at bay from running amok within the human territories!"
"And the demon king does the same for the demons. Although he does not really kill them all but enslave them."
"Well I understand the situation now atleast."
"So we are here to kill everyone within this village."
"And you lost me."
While the guard captain was 'negotiating' with the demons the rest of the town had calmed down slightly but still were in a slight panic.
...
In the morning when Mizuki woke up she removed the barrier and cancelled the mass gravity spell.
To her suprise she heard not even a peep from outside even when all her spells were cancelled out.
"Che. So now you're all quiet."
Walking outside of the inn she was suprised by the amount of unconcious people outside in the streets and the amount of broken down buildings.
"Maybe they had an over the top party or something?"
Leaving the town with the map in hand she walked towards the port town named New Seelnd.
"What a weird name for a port town."
What Mizuki did not know was that there was currently another raid going on in a particular mansion and that her intervention had stopped a future war as well as formed a few ties between the human and demon nations.
