42 """"To the Sanctuary!""""

Walking in the streets of New Seelnd, I was heading towards my old home. If possible I was planning on fixing the place up before buying a boat to trying to go and find Onee.

On the way I felt a few too many pairs of eyes on me and went to greet them.

After spooking them a little and taking my leave I found the 'church' in ruins.

Asking around, I heard that it got destroyed by knights after they had found out that someone from there fed them fake information about a wanted criminal.

I felt... guilty. But I did hear that there were no casualties, so that eased my burden a bit.

Heading towards the dock, a sudden picture with words popped up infront of me. The last time I had seen something of the sort was back at the start of that quest.

Quickly reading through, I started running towards the dock to get a ship. If it was anything like 'London' then this continent was most likely going to get destroyed.

On the way, I ran into that group that was staring at me, they told me they had a ship so I followed.

On the way they told me about the catastrophe that could occur not only to this continent but also the world.

Finding a ship that was lavishly decorated with gold and murals of the sun, I tried to ignore it's looks and started setting everything up to start sailing. I learned a good amount from back in the quest.

Quickly finishing, I found that we had to wait for a crew. Although I was told about the world possibly getting destroyed, now I needed to waste my time to wait for a few bloody limp-wristed failed abortions.

I ignored the group, and started giving out orders while temporarily making myself captain. If we go full speed we'll make it within 4 days.

The Hayden bloke had a disgusting glint in his eyes so I just told him to man the wheel, it seemed to have made him feel more in control.

That bloke then yelled out of nowhere "Onwards! To the Sanctuary!" like a narcissistic brat.

'This is going to be a terrible time.'

...

After trying to find the man for nearly 8 minutes, I started to get fed up. But then a notification appeared. Not infront of just me, but infront of everyone. Everyone.

A Sanctuary. Ranked at [World].

I didn't know much about [World] Rank Sanctuaries but I still wanted to be the first to clear it so I clapped my hands to snap the girls out of it and simply said "Let's go." really cool like.

We started heading towards the dock but Tentia suddenly disappeared and reappeared, now with that strange man. Before I could ask, she said that he was looking for a ship and now had a similar goal to us.

I didn't think much and welcomed him to the party.

On the way, I heard a crucial detail about the differences between Dungeons and Sanctuaries.

To put it simply.

A Dungeon: A building with simple designs that continuously spawns a certain type of monster, with up to 10 floors going below the earth. Has a rare chance to spawn a treasure chest. Is commonly referred to as a Monster Den because of the never ending monster spawns. If the dungeon boss is killed and a new one does not arise within 7 days, the dungeon is terminated along with all monsters inside it. Dungeons can not appear as higher than the Kingdom rank. Can rarely go through mutations.

A Sanctuary: A beatifully designed building that reaches far into the sky. It is similar to it's own world and can be up to 100 times bigger compared to the average 10 floor dungeon. Has a maximum of 50 floors. Any monster type can spawn on any floor, ever seen a goblin spawn and immediately drown because the floor is a deep ocean type? Each floor can go through it's own mutation if confitions are met, like a deep ocean suddenly having a layer of air in the middle of it, with a forest made of water and inhabited by half mermaid goblins. Yet monsters can not respawn if killed. The Sanctuary has a boss on every floor. Each floor scales with your level, if you are at level 100, floor one will be at level 101, floor 5 at 105 and so on. The last boss is on the top of the tower, the roof if you will. When the last boss is killed the dungeon will break down but all surviving monsters will live. The items the boss drops can make a continent go bankrupt. Treasure chests commonly spawn, but only in difficult to reach locations.

In conclusion, a Sanctuary is just a Dungeon but many, many, many, many, many... times more difficult.

Since it's ranked at [World], it will most likely be with 50 floors.

Finally making it to my custom ship, I told the man to wait for the crew so we can set sail with proper preporation, yet he had the gall to tell ME that we don't have time. Before I could realize, everything on the ship was prepared for departure.

The man then started giving orders to everyone. One after the other, the girls started following his words stating that he seems to know what he is doing when it comes to a ship.

I looked at him with scorn.

He looked back and most likely threatened, he gave me the wheel.

Feeling the salty wind in my face, it was disgusting. Yet the feeling of increasing my harem and getting filthy rich from this Sanctuary thing. I could not help but yell.

"Onwards! To the Sanctuary!"

...

Meanwhile, on the Northern continent.

The demon lord, along with everyone on the planet had received the notification.

Narrowing his eyes, he ordered 10 of his knights from the 15 sins to get a ship and make haste.

This was, after all a world wide event.

On the ship, the leader of the expedition, the Knight Sin of Pride, yelled out with haughtiness, "Onwards! To the Sanctuary! For the Lord!".

...

Meanwhile. Again.

On the main deck of the Flaming Heartache, Hinami ordered her remaining crew to sail towards the sanctuary as fast as possible.

Worrying for Mizuki, who she had mistaken to be her sister due to their blood, Hinami yelled with all her might.

"Quick! Get tour hands and feet moving! To the Sanctuary!"

...

And finally, on the Soulless Pearl ship.

Mizuki was in her quarters sleeping despite the heavy thunderstorm outside.

While on deck, Shigoto had taken charge and everyone had easily started listening to his commands.

Shigoto just had a different way of speech with everyone.

"C'mon crewmates! Let's not make the captain throw a fit and hurry up to the destined location! Incase you forgot, to the Sanctuary!"

The whole world was not just moving, but spinning in a daze.

With tens of countries and thousands of different cities all sending out their strongest.

This could be the end of all or the end of a few, time will tell.

Who will survive this tragedy. Who will die.

I think. It's not up to Mizuki or the hero or the demon king or you or even me to decide.

Fate has already decided. And fate is inevitable.
