1 The Interaction

The world did not end in a bang or a whisper, but rather, one scream at a time. The kingdom was in ruins, the war had destroyed not only the kingdom but the world itself, very few survived. The royal family was cast out and stripped of their honor among their subjects. That was fifteen years ago, now the world has gone back to where it once was years ago Uostha has been rebuilt, the subjects rebuilt the kingdom and raised the gods to a royal status. I was headed towards the capital to send a message or a warning as some would call it, my family was stripped of their noble title due to my mother's arrogance. Lost in thought I tripped over a man, seeming upset over something I wasn't involved in, he merely gave me a look and continued on his way. I didn't allow him the pleasure of leaving me on the ground without confrontation.

"Sir! Do you mind helping me up after you so rudely knocked me over?" I ask a warning tone in my voice, I never did get along with people very well.

He scoffed. "Why would I help a weak defenseless thing up, do it yourself, I have better things to do commoner!" He remarked, his voice rough, deep, and full of disgust.

I huffed, "My deepest apologies sire, but you don't seem to be of any noble blood, dressed as you are. You seem to be nothing but a common folk with a rotten attitude." I helped myself up, now people were starting to gather around us, great.

The look of shock on his face almost made me laugh. "I was a king!" He bellowed, spitting at my feet.

I smile at him, my eyes sad and yet full of mischief. "And I was a goddess." My voice rose to meet his own.

"A woman such as yourself wouldn't be praised for anything but your body, you are nothing but an object to look at then move on." The man snaps.

"I would hold your tongue unless you wish to lose it." My voice dangerously close to snapping. I was usually one that could hold my temper quiet well but this man was pushing his luck. "I know you not, and you hold no knowledge of what I am capable of."

"And what are you capable of other than to look pretty?" The man asks in a mocking tone.

My eyes narrow, "Does the name Mantra stir anything in that empty skull of yours?" I ask, raising my eyebrow.

His eyes widen, "I-impossible, you couldn't be!"

I bark out a laugh, "And why may that be my kind sir."

"The Mantra family was cast out after the end." He says, his voice quivering,

'Losing confidence are we now?'. "Oh, but you seem to have forgotten, we were cast out, not all killed. I am here to reclaim our rightful place in Uostha as queen, I will restore honor my family's name back to where we were once honored in society." The crowd went silent.

"The gods will stop you, they-"

"They'll do what?" My voice laced with venom emphasizing each word, "They're cowards, they stole our kingdom from under us, in a time of need, of war. They didn't give us a slightest chance at redemption, they blamed us for a war they caused!" I raised my voice for everyone to hear. "I am the last queen of my blood line, my parents were hunted down by the gods, and mercilessly slaughtered!" I have to keep my voice from trembling, as I remember what happened 15 years ago. "I will bring back a world forgotten by all!"

The man looks astonished, but shakes it off and laughs, "You really think you can overtake the gods, alone?"

I smile, "Now, now, now, who ever said I was alone?"

Someone steps out from the crowd, "Well you're the only one around who doesn't live within the capital."

"And maybe I have connections within the capital, perhaps even the castle, but that's of my knowledge, not yours. Now as much as I've enjoyed our little… interaction, I have better tasks to tend to then deal with the lot of you." I turn on my heel and walk back the way I came, 'they don't know the Hell that's about to rain down upon them' I leave the capital smirking to myself.

Clarification

"And I was a goddess" - The royal family were often referred to as deities

The Mantra family - The Mantra family has rules over Uostha for millennia as deities until the gods claimed the land for themselves. They were stripped of their immortality and honor among the people, they were considered dangerous and a threat to society.

Uostha - The kingdom of Uostha has inhabited the land since before the end. The original rulers were the Mantra family but were cast out after the gods took the thrown. Everyone in the kingdom has a special enhancement about them weather it be visual or not.
