4 Horizon #3: Teleported, Where Exactly?

"You've gotta be kidding me...!"

___

Blue skies. Lush, green woodlands. Animals of varying sizes. Things that couldn't exist in the real world. A land they've never seen before.

"What the hell...?"

"Where is this place?"

"O.M.G!!!"

"Where are we?"

"What the f(bleep!)ck happened?!"

"Are we... teleported t-to another... world?"

"How do we go back? You know, to our school, our world!"

Matthew listened to his classmates' panicked reactions. He doesn't understand it but he never felt any anxiety. He felt like he's been here before, somehow. Where the heck is this place? This place is seriously beautiful and seemingly magical, like those in early times. Everyone is still inside the classroom in fear of the unknown world outside. Well, f(bleep!)ck it all. I'm going out.

Before his feet could even touch the ground outside, an arm shot out to stop him. "What are you doing?! We haven't even checked if it's safe yet." His classmate who's name is Rennie, as far as he can remember, stared at him with nervousness evident on his face. Matthew rolled his eyes and pried off the hand that was clutching his sleeve. "Well, why don't you check it out to see if it's safe?" His sarcastic voice and provoking face made his buddies stifle a laugh while Rennie's face obviously paled. "G-G-Go? O-Out?" The brunet nodded ever so slowly with a peevish smile etched on his face in response, all in hopes to annoy the person in front of him.

Ren took a shaky step forward when suddenly, a shout stopped them. "I'll do it!" All eyes were on the running boy as he excitedly took the earlier person's place who was mercilessly cast away. "Nobody knows how to do these things better than me~!" He kneeled down by the doorway and cautiously took a sniff of the outside ground. "Jaycee! The heck!" Jennia reached a hand out to pull the boy up when a certain redhead cleared his throat which made the girl stop.

"Hmm... doesn't smell different." Jaycee muttered in a voice only he can hear. Next, he placed both his palms on it and waited for a moment. "Doesn't feel different either." He calculated things in his head before deciding the final trial. After rubbing his index finger on the ground, he placed it in his mouth. Everyone gagged audibly as he rolled the finger on and on in his mouth to get a better taste. With one final lick, he wiped his finger on his uniform and smiled at his grimacing classmates. "It's perfectly safe."

No one moved. They just stared at the boy, the earlier memory still fresh in their minds. Jaycee stood up and brushed the dust off his pants. After composing himself, he pointed outside with a big grin plastered on his face. "Let's go!" He stepped out of the classroom and some cautiously followed. Wrong move. The moment Jaycee took his fourth step, he suddenly fell off an unnoticed ridge in front of the classroom door.

His screams echoed throughout the whole forest as the group carried on. "Could someone help him?" Matthew boredly calls out to no one in particular while walking to a forest path near the clearing they're currently in.

He took notice of a really, really tall tree in a distance. That tree seems familiar... He wondered where he has seen that tree before. A tap to his back brought him back to his senses. "Whatcha looking at?" A female voice spoke up near his ear. He didn't need to turn around to know who it was. Only one girl can have such voice as heavenly as that.

"Nothing, I'm just thinking that we should follow this path. It might lead us to civilization." His face turned pink when the girl clung on to his arm. Her curly brown locks brushed against his skin which made it feel tingly. "Let's go!" The curly haired girl dragged Matthew to the direction of the forest path. "Hey! Don't leave us behind!" Caide protests while waving his arms. He hurriedly catches up to the pair's pace to accompany them to their destination. The others followed closely behind. Krishna let go of Matthew's arms when she finally noticed the others following them.

"Matt!" A person slung his hand on the brown haired teen's shoulder. Turning around, the brunet calmed down when he saw that it was only his best friend. "Where are we going?" Paulo asked the the boy who only gave him a candid gaze. "Just follow this path, we'll eventually get to civilization... I hope." He mutters the last part and averted his gaze to the gnarled tree trunks canopying them.

The blond shrugged his shoulders and whistled. "If you say so, I guess I'll believe you."

___

The horde of students eventually reached the end of the path which led them to the outskirts of a town. Everyone was amazed, it was like those of archaic times. A few shops were open, there were few houses too. People wore clothes they've only seen in their History books.

Matthew turned to his astounded classmates. "We'll need to ask around and the best way to do that is to split up." They just nodded and continued listening to the acting leader's plan. "We'll split up in three groups, ten people each. Edric and Alex, you lead the two other groups while I lead the other one. We'll ask for information and meet up here, everyone got that?" Everyone nodded their heads or said 'yes' and Matthew began the grouping.

***

The people stared as Matthew's group traversed along. Some stared in suspicion, some in astonishment, while others stared in confusion. Damn, we stand out too much because of this uniforms. The brunet clicked his tongue as he unconsciously smoothened out the creases in his polo. He tried to approach a burly man who looks like an apple vendor to ask some things and the others just followed his lead. "Umm, excuse me. Where is this place?" The vendor scrutinized his whole figure up and down before answering. "This is merely an outskirt of the wonderful town of Grimoire, home to the best warriors of Icathia, our kingdom." Matthew sweatdropped at the over exaggerated answer and actions of the vendor to his simple question. "You look different, where are you and your friends from?" The brown haired teen's eyes widened and thought of an excuse. "We are from the city of Sveill in our kingdom, Arrelia. Haven't you heard of that before?"

The vendor scratched his beard as he scrambled ideas in his mind. Finally, he shook his head and said, "Nope, never heard of it." Matthew forced a laugh and elbowed the person to his side, which unfortunately happened to be Caide, to laugh along with him. "People always says that. Thank you for the information, we'll go on our way now." He excused himself and hurriedly turned away when he came face-to-face with a soldier. He presumed it was a soldier because of the armor.

The soldier grinned. "Where did you say you're from?" Matthew gulped but tried to smile back. "W-We are from the city of S-Sveill, kingdom of... A-Arrelia." Another soldier riding a horse came trotting through and behind him walked three infantrymen and the rest of Matthew's classmates. The brunet clicked his tongue and Alex just offered him a forced smile. There must've been something wrong with what he said or the fact that they don't look like everyone else, this is the only factors that could result to this moment. The first soldier held Matthew on the shoulder and pushed him to his classmates' side, the people in his group as well. The tanned boy got fed up so he decided to speak. "Where are you taking us?!" The soldiers never answered, they just assumed formation, encircling them. Two soldiers at the back, one soldier in each side, and the one on horseback is at the front. The soldiers moved forward and just urged them to move too.

The people gathered at the sidewalks, curious to the events happening. "Hey! I said, where are you taking us?!!" This time, Harry shouted on the face of one of the soldiers on the side. The infantryman glared at him before answering stiffly. "To the court, of course. So that the king could judge if you're innocent or not." He answered like it was the most obvious thing in the world which probably is. Matthew couldn't help it, he questioned the soldier. "Do you always do this to the new faces you see in your kingdom? Or maybe to those who dress themselves differently?" The soldier at the front stopped in his tracks which made all of them to stop walking. The lead soldier, at least Matthew thinks he is, turned around to face the brunet. His impassive face made it difficult for Matthew to read his thoughts. "We only do this to possible traitors and sellouts."

Traitor? Sellout? I am far too awesome to be even doing those treachery and selling out things they're talkimg about. Matthew thought but said nothing in return. Alright, time to meet this King.

___

The students stood nervously in front of the king. The ruler of the land only stared, carefully examining the group of people in front of him. Scrunching his eyebrows, he flicked his hands and the soldiers nodded. "Execute them."

Matthew paled and his eyes widened. Execute?

---

Matthew along with everyone is gonna be executed? What is the meaning of this?!?!!

"I want you to train to become Princess Adrianna's knight."

"We are going to stay here and accompany Matthew and together, the seven of us will look for a way back."

"Training begins... now."

"WAKE UP!!"

Shwiing! Kaching!
