3 Horizon #2: The Craziness Begins... Now!

"I still can't believe that you're here!"

"Yeah, what evil spirit possessed you?"

"I never thought you'd actually come back."

"Yay~! Boss is back!"

"We can finally beat some punks together again."

"Hey, I'm still the best here!"

The brown haired boy's eyebrows twitched as his companions kept chatting about his big comeback. The group is currently in the cafeteria, eating lunch. Caide stood up and placed his right foot on the table. "We must arrange a party to commemorate Matthew's return!" He exclaimed while his fist was outstretched in a superhero pose.



Matthew only sighed in embarrassment as everyone in the large room giggled at his friend's action. "Caide! Put your foot down this instance!" A stern looking black haired boy pinched the redhead's right ear to drag him back down to his seat. A string of complaints and profanities immediately leaves the redhead's mouth. "That seriously hurt! Why would you do such a thing, huh Edric?!" The said teen only shrugged. "Because I want to. Got a problem with that?" The two glared at each other and electricity traveled between their stares.

Matthew sighed again, this time in frustration. A boy with black hair and green highlights who sat beside him offered a cheesecake. "Welcome back." His monotonous voice drifted through the air very softly that Matthew barely heared it. "Thanks, Reiner." The prodigal teen gladly accepted the dessert from his friend. You must never reject free food. This is what Matthew thought.

A tanned boy with raven hair slammed his hands on the table. The arguments between the boys on the table stopped and they all stared at him. He only pointed to the brunet with a demanding expression on his face. "What the hell is your relationship with Jennia?! Don't tell me that the two of you are dating?!!" Nods and mutters of approval resonated within the table as six boys stared at a confused brunet. "Jennia...? Oh, that burgundy haired girl! She only helped me find the classroom." The tanned boy sighed in relief and he settled back to his seat again. "Why would you even care if we're dating, Harry?" A sly smirk found it's way to Matthew's face as the others also leaned eagerly to hear the tanned boy's answer.

Harry only whistled while looking up. "No special reason~" He smirked as he stole a glance at the redheaded boy who choked as he was drinking. "W-What are you l-looking at...?" The tanned boy chuckled at Caide's stuttering. "Nothing~~"

*KRIIIING!! KRIIIING!!*

The ringing of the bell indicated the end of lunch break. Groans and complaints were heard as the students made their way to their assigned classrooms. "What's our first subject this afternoon?" The brunet asked the person closest to him which happened to be Paulo. The blond sighed as he looked at Matthew straight to the eyes with a tortured expression. "Math."

Well, shit.

Elsewhere...

A hooded figure stood atop the cliff as the wind blew. Reaching up, he placed a hand on his hood to keep it from fluttering in the wind. It is time... He thought as he gazed upon the horizon. A bird's caw distracted him from his thoughts and he reached a hand up and the bird landed on it. The bird gently nudged its head on the mysterious person's cheek.

"Yes, I agree Maia. Now is the time to take our master back."

Classroom 34-B

1:04 PM

"The price of a pizza varies directly as the square of it's diameter. It costs $18 if the diameter is 20 cm. What will be the cost of a pizza with a diameter of 30 cm?"

The problem left most of the student's jaws hanging as they don't know how to solve it. "Anyone who cares to volunteer and answer this?" A few hands shot up and the teacher looked around to pick the lucky person. "Where is Matthew? I want him to answer this." All heads slowly turned around to look at a brunet who's snoring away. The teacher's eyes widened in disappointment. As the teacher strutted towards the sleeping brunet, a long haired girl wearing glasses who is Matthew's seatmate, tried to awaken him by shaking his shoulder.

The teacher stopped directly in front of Matthew's seat. "Mr. Guillard, is this the proper behavior a student should display during class? Sleeping?! You above all people should pay attention and listen to the discussion because of your absence for two months and yet here you are, sleeping and worst of all snoring so loud! What kind of manners do you have?!" The brown haired boy opened one eye to peek at the raging teacher in front of him. He sat up properly and stretched his arms while yawning. "I'm so sorry ma'am. It's just that I can't help it, your lesson is just so boring and a waste of time. So, forgive me for sleeping and snoring so loud during your class." He ended his monologue with a sickly sweet smile which made the teacher beyond furious. "DETENTION AFTER CLASS!!"

💉 🔬 🔭 SCIENCE TIME 🔭 🔬💉

"The leaf blade or lamina is the main part of the leaf. It is usually thin, flat, broad and green in color due to the presence of the pigment called chlorophyll."

The teacher spotted a bored looking brown haired boy staring out of the window. "Matthew! What is a lamina?" The said boy lazily lifted his head off his hands and blinked rapidly. "Lamina?" He questioned and the teacher nodded. "Why do I need to know what a lamina is? Would it help me when I apply for a job or something?" The teacher was clearly taken aback with the sudden rudeness. "Why are you teaching us stuffs that we don't even need in our future lives? This class is a disgrace. Why don't you teach us things that we'll definitely need? Like how to cook or something." Everyone was shocked by the teen's words. The whole class stared cautiously as the teacher shook in anger. "DETENTION!!!"

🌈 I.L.[1] TIME 🌈

Boys surrounded the brunet who is currently watching videos on his tablet. A shrill scream echoed throughout the room which made all the students stare at Matthew's seatmate in Math earlier, pinching a blond with spikey hair. "R-Rain, ow! Let go of my e-ear, o-ow!" The girl smiled sweetly and pinched the boy harder. "It was just a simple command. I said, 'Bring three jars for our science experiment and I'll bring the rest.' What wrong did I do for this misfortune to happen to me?!" The girl wailed as she wiggled Paulo's ear who in return groaned in pain. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry!" The boy tried to apologize so that the girl will release him.

With a huff and a final kick to the shin, the girl with glasses finally let go of the blond's ear and returned to her seat. Matthew chuckled at his best friend's state. "I didn't know that you're really submissive." He teased the battered boy who's struggling to walk over to him. "She's really scary when it comes to her grades." Paulo said while rubbing his now red ear. Matthew looked down to his wristwatch and clicked his tongue.

3:34 PM

The brown haired teen abruptly stood up which surprised the blond beside him. The blond boy stared, confused, as his best friend started fixing his things and slung his backpack on his shoulder. "Where are you going?" The boy paused and pretended to think. "Umm, I kinda have an appointment at Clickz so... GTG!" He made a mad dash for the door when he was suddenly held back in the collar of his uniform. "Where are you going, leaving us behind?" Says a black haired boy, Edric, as five other boys stood behind him. "You can't just leave us." Alex reasons while he fixes his bangs that got messed up in his hurry. Caide nods his head repeatedly while muttering 'yes'.

The brunet only chuckled at his friends' antics. "Fine, fine. But don't blame me if the teacher scolds us." He brushed his uniform before reaching out to the door. The moment his hand touched the handle, the ground began to shake. "Woah!" Matthew ducked and covered his head and the others did the same. The whole classroom seemed to spin around while shaking. "What the hell is happening?!" Paulo shouts out to no one in particular. "I don't know!" Harry replies while grabbing on to the teacher's desk.

It went on for a few seconds longer but eventually stopped. It... stopped? Matthew decided to stand up and look around. Nothing seemed to be broken, no one's injured too. A big question popped out in his head. Just what the hell happened earlier?

Matthew stared at his hands as a conclusion formed in his thoughts. It only happened the moment I touched the door. What does that mean? He shrugged it off and grabbed the door handle. He took a deep breath before sliding it open. His eyes widened, his breath hitched, his mouth opened in shock as his arms fell limp on his side.

"You've gotta be kidding me...!"

"It's perfectly safe."
