10 Family.

I think I've always been aware that Kate is not actually part of my immediate family. Neither am I technically part of her immediate family. Kate simply took me in because my parental creatures were bad. That is really all there is to it. However, although Kate and I might not be related by blood, I still think that Kate and I have a meaningful connection. Then again, what do I know about meaningful connections? I never had one before now.

But still. Even though I might never know what it means to have an actual relationship with my parental creatures and even if I don't know what it is like to have a caring father I still know what it is like to have someone care for me. In this sense, I am part of someone's group. I am part of someone's circle. It's honestly a really great feeling.
