8 Communication is Difficult.

I finally realize how difficult communication can be. It's very hard to correctly tell others what you want when you can only scream. However, I seem to have progressed quite nicely. There is a very interesting pattern to be made. Whenever I wake up I'll give out a small cry once or twice to let Kate know that I'm awake. Kate will then usually come and get me within a few moments. In order to let Kate know I'm hungry I usually poke her chest once or twice. If Kate doesn't notice I might give out another cry once or twice until she picks me up and then I can continue poking her chest. However, there are often a lot of misunderstandings. If I simply want to poke Kate's chest because I'm bored Kate will try to force me to drink more thinking I'm hungry. Unfortunately there currently isn't a way for me to let Kate know that I just want to have fun. I also don't have a way for Kate to know that I dislike being washed. Sometimes I really just want to sleep more but Kate washes me anyways. I found out that no matter how hard I cry or scream Kate will not let me go until I'm fully washed. Since Kate is easily several times stronger than I am there is definitely no way Kate will let me escape from this wrath. Perhaps I simply must become accustomed to this routine.

The other day while Kate was washing me she actually started doing something strange. Kate was making weird sounds but they sounded interesting. I think that Kate was doing something that was quite unique to creatures. I realized at that moment that I've actually heard these sounds before. Whenever my parental figures were quite happy they would do this too. I think this was called. . . humming? It would make sense since the sounds were kind of like a 'hum' sound. I tried giving it a shot as well but unfortunately, the only thing I did was make a weird gurgling noise. Kate probably noticed that I was trying to imitate her and she chuckled about it. Seeing that she chuckled I too startled giggling. I really love Kate a lot.
