21 She remembers.. does she ??

The morning was just too much to bear for Daniel, the sun shown on his face he frowned, as he didn't sleep the entire night..every second was like a million hours as he waited to see Dr Shaw.. or should he say 'Shirley. His and only his' the thought made his sleep and tiredness vanish and he sat in suprise in his bed. He couldn't shake the thought away and couldn't concentrate on anything and suddenly his phone blinked, he opened it up and stared at it with a smirk.' She will be so furious now' he thought and chuckled. He went to get ready, all the while his heart was anticipating his next meet with Shirley. His phone rang it was Patrick, he was informed about Dr Shaw's orders for shifting her things to the villa, he was on top of the moon. The time when they will meet once again is so near.

Shirley was in the market, picking and buying stuff for herself and her Mom. She was an excellent cook because her mom was awesome in it. In childhood they would always make new dishes every weekend and it made her fall in love with cooking. And as time went by, she became very good at it. All her collegues and friends would end up on Thanksgiving at her home for dinner. She was selecting veggies when Alex went and bought her some lilies, they were Shirley's favorite. Shirley just kept smelling them and thanked Alex. Alex enquired "Why lilies? All girls like roses". Shirley remembered someone's words "White Lilies signifies purity " these were the exact words spoken by him, how she wished she could have met him once more to know at least his name, she couldn't stop feeling guilty for the incident. And meanwhile Patrick took beautiful pictures of her with the flower and her shopping for groceries in the market.

Daniel was seriously listening to the monthly updates of his company and he was pretty much at the verge of screaming and killing(just a metaphor) each one in the development department. All employees could sense his patience decresing little by little. And they were waiting for the yelling and his anger to burst anytime now. Suddenly his phone blinked he saw it's from Patrick and it showed as if it's an image folder, he opened it and saw Shirley with a bunch of lilies with a broad smile his heart melted instantly.. he was suprised by the effect she had on him. And he noticed, it was tagged with a text " Dr Shaw's favorite.. she said it signifies purity". 'Those lines were... her favorite ?? Does it mean she remembers' He smiled and said "Meeting adjourned" and walked off starring at his phone.

He reached his room sat on his chair and drifted into his thoughts..It was 15 years back, when he was in Beirut with his Father on a business trip he was bored sitting and waiting for his Dad to finish the meeting, so he decided to explore the place a bit, he tricked his bodygaurds and sneaked out. He explored the construction site, kept roaming and finally it was dawn, he had lost his way. Finally he saw a small park , he started walking towards it and suddenly his leg slipped and he fell into a ditch. He broke his arm, and couldn't move he yelled but nobody heard. Finally a girl in uniform and a pony showed up and said" Don't worry, I'll get you out. Wait ! I'll get some help." She looked like an Angel so beautiful and serene, with the help of the watchman, they pulled him out. When they got him up, he had lost consciousness. They shifted him to hospital. They admitted him and started his treatment.Her uncle came to the hospital and did all the formalities.As no one knew his identity the Police was contacted and informed. He had suffered a concussion and left arm fracture. She waited besides him for him to wake up he was running a fever all night, so she held his hand through out the night. She was lying with his hand in hers when he opened his eyes. He saw her sleeping and was love struck. He didn't want this moment to pass ever.

She woke up and saw him starring at her. She got up and touched his forehead '"Oh thank God! Your fever is gone and you woke up." He was still starring at her. When the doctor walked in with her Uncle. They were happy seeing him awake and asked him " Hello,son. I am Dr Mathew. How are you feeling now? Do remember your name?" He realized the only way to stay with her for more time is to tell them he doesn't remember anything. He said "Hi. Who are you people and why am in here?. " She spurted "Don't you remember! You fell into a ditch and calling for help. I and the guard helped you out". He was just blankly starring .When the doctor said" It happens in concussion sometimes, can you try and remember your name." Daniel stared with a painful expression she finally said " Leave him alone. He is in pain." Uncle agreed with her and they left them alone. He would have never be able to pull it, if he had not taken up acting for his school play back in US.

She slowly got the food over and kept it in front of him and said " You don't worry , we will find your parents.Please eat up you will be hungry." He stared at his plastered hands and gave her a pitiful look. She quickly understood and took the porridge bowl in her hand. " Let me help you." She fed him and he was so happy . She kept telling him about all her school things. And then about her passion to learn medicine and how she even was thinking of majoring in balet. All were rough ideas. She asked me many questions and seeing my confused expression she would say "Never mind". They went for a walk, in the corridor he saw a vase with roses but didn't look at it. Shirley was talking to the nurse. He then saw lilies in a vase and walked towards it pulled out a Lily and walked back towards his room. Shirley followed him back.She helped him on to his bed and sat on the side stool. He pulled the Lily from his back and gave it to her. She was surprised and a bit shy and asked him " There we're so many flowers on the floor why did u chose White Lily? Is it your favourite." He smiled and said " White Lilies signifies purity... just like you."

He then bend forward and kissed her forhead and said " Thank you for coming into my life. Thank you for saving me." She blushed and her cheeks turned red, she didn't know what to respond so she got up grabbed her bag and said " I remembered something important, I have to finish that, so I LL take my leave will be back with dinner for you. Bye" And she stormed out of the room. He chuckled and went back to sleep waiting for her to come back. Meanwhile, the police found out his identity by the missing complaint his Father filed and they contacted him and within in an hour his Father was in the room hugging him then they were out of the hospital and he was in a private jet on his way back home all details were sealed about him and his identity to not cause any damages to the company. He asked the sisters a lot about the girl but nothing and all he had of hers was her school badge that he found on the couch her bag was. He couldn't even say goodbye to her he asked his chauffer to at least send a bouquet of Lilies to his room for the girl who saved him. After which he had so many things happening in his life by the time he went to find her, she was already gone abroad for higher studies.

After becoming the CEO of his company and getting it to the 1st position in the industry he didn't find time to meet her. He always kept tabs on her but missed the chance to meet and after 15 years he decided to meet her and was ready to make her own. When his brothers incident happened and it eventually ended up in meeting his girl but in all the weird circumstances. He even saw feelings in her eyes when someone tried to kill his brother the other day, which made him think. But then the syccamore tree incident was another puzzle. How many secrets does his girl have?. He had made his mind to get to know her but when he saw her picture and those words.. he made his mind to make her his....and when he saw the second picture he felt as if that sadness in her eyes where for him.. is it ? he kept asking himself...
