Heath's Point of View

I was more than glad since the day he accepted my proposal, now I felt assured and less pressure was in my chest, he would make a fine Luna, he was caring, loving and very considerate, he may not look like it but he's a very strong, independent smart guy that anyone would want to have.

I didn't have an issue about this mating, when I first thought of asking him to mate with me, i thought I was being ridiculous, how could I ask someone I barely know to mate with me? All for own selfish desires? But when he agreed, I thought he was just fucking with me.

He was very supportive, he was encouraging and he gave me advice gave me a motivation to lead the pack, as long as he was by my side, and I even find myself slowly falling for him and the littlest things he do, I like how he smiles and appreciates the nature, I love the way his laugh echoes in my ears like a song, the way he looks at me so lovingly as if we were lovers of a long time.

My parents were very fond of him even though they only talked once, mom said to bring him over, even dad talked about him with other alphas during the meeting, because I was also present there, some protested that why would an alpha mate with a lowlife esper, dad had to stop me from attacking those who protested, I don't know why, but whenever someone talks badly about Lionel, even though we aren't that close, my wolf and I had a mutual understanding and a need to protect Lionel whatever it takes.

"Heath! The Alpha is calling us, it regards a mission along the espers." Suddenly, Cade my future beta broke me from my trance, "Mission?"

"I think it's about entering a high school near the city, I don't know the details, but Lady Irene and the espers are on their way." I smiled when I heard my mate was coming, I stood up from the couch and walked towards my dad's office, suddenly smelling a familiar scent.

A feline's scent, I knew who this was, it's Garreth from the orphanage, but what was he doing here?

Once I entered the room, there he was, conversing with my father, along with a male, a petite one who looked identical to Garreth because of his face, except he had a silver hair and gray eyes, they had the same face, but their height and body built was completely different.

"Ah, son here you are! This is Garreth the lion shifter and his half-brother Henessi, a fae." Now I understood why they had a different hair color.

"Yeah, I know Garreth, he's from the orphanage where Lionel and I went to, nice meeting you again, and also to you, Henessi." I greeted, he bowed as a reply, and sent a small smile.

"Any minute now and Lady Irene along with her descendants will arrive, and we shall start discussing the mission along with Lady Irene."

Five minutes later, the door opened and there we saw an omega leading the espers to our office, who thanked the omega for the service, there I saw Lady Irene who wore the same clothes when I met her at the gathering, Lionel who hasn't noticed me and was looking at the paintings at my father's wall, Cade who was already being smothered and molested by Hourn and Jade, the shadow esper who Lionel mentioned two days ago from the orphanage and Laurelle who was beside Lionel.

"I apologize because I could not bring all my espers, Melody, my fire esper had to attend a mission with the faes from the north and Nyth, my light esper had to help clear out the orgs that are attacking the mines, but I do assure you these four are reliable." Lady Irene spoke and Alpha nodded.

"May we proceed to the living room for a wider space, we need to clarify about what will happen in this mission for all of you to be ready for the departure later tonight." Alpha said, before we could even move, Lionel suddenly spoke, "Wait, tonight?"

"Is there a problem, dear?" Lady Irene said confused, "No, not really, but isn't this a bit too sudden? I mean, where are we going? We don't even have things prepared." Lionel explained, "Ah, we all have that covered, now we shall proceed to the main living room." my dad answered which made my mate sighed, the others exited the room while I purposely waited for Lionel, once everyone was out, I grabbed him by the arm and wrapped my arms around his waits, feeling the need of his body against mine, my wolf purring at the contact.

"Heath! I didn't know you were here." He said genuinely shocked as he looked up at me, he was looking so cute I couldn't help but imagine ripping off his clothes and take him over the de-- NOPE, NO, DOWN BOY.

"Well, here I am." I grinned and pecked his lips, causing him to blush and glare up at me, "We should head downstairs, your dad is discussing the mission, we can't miss that." He said trying to get out of my grip, I whined and held him tighter against me, I can't understand what's happening to me, full moon isn't even near yet, but I had to have contact with him, I was feeling needy.

I rubbed my face in his neck as he sighed and rested his hand in my chest, "What's happening to you?" He asked obviously aware at the unusual action I was doing, "I dunno, please kiss me." I pouted while I looked down at him, another sigh came out from him, I grinned since I knew he was going to do it, pouting my lips, he leaned up and pressed his soft lips against mine.

My wolf was yipping, happy at the affection our mate was giving us, I pressed my lips even harder, tilting my head to deepen our kiss even more, he wrapped his arms around my neck slightly parting his lips giving me access to shove my tongue in, feeling the warm and welcoming mouth of my mate.

Our tongue fought for dominance but it was obvious I was winning this, he was having a hard time keeping up because of his short height, so I gripped him in thighs as I sat down on my dad's couch near us and placed him in my lap, but before I could continue ravishing him I was suddenly snapped out of my mind as I looked down at my mate, "Hey, you good?" Lionel asked as we were back at the position where we were standing as I hug his waist.

I suddenly felt myself blush and realized I was only imagining things.
