11 Old Friend -1

It was the 8th day of spring and you could see the flowers blooming everywhere.

The place Vladis selected to meet Taylor's daughter was truly a scenic location. Standing near a beautiful lake the water was clear and blue. Beside the lake, several trees were blooming.

The flowers of some of their petals were floating on the lake.

Nearby to Vladis, there was a boat attached to the pole. Some local shops sell local delicacies, sweets, and artifacts.

Soon a beautiful but sturdy carriage arrived at a distance and two women whom you could compare with fairies came down from it. You could easily guess whose carriage it was because of the engraving on it, and there it was The Taylor's Carriage.

Everyone was curious about the identities of both the ladies, but they all knew that curiosity killed the cat, so they zipped their mouth. When Camy and Ceci landed on the ground, they both subconsciously saw a man standing alone beside a river. He was tall and had a good physique. Although he was standing alone, you could tell from his aura and clothes that he was a rich man.

When Vladis heard the footsteps behind him he turned and started walking towards the twins, to welcome them.

"Greeting to Mr. Taylor's daughters"

"I am Vladis Visceen, knight commander of Reinstle empire", Vladis politely introduced himself '

Seeing Vladis humble demeanor and his charming face blew away the minds of both sisters

All the attitude and lengthy speech that they painstakingly mugged up went down the drain. They were charmed by his looks and it was showing clearly on their faces.

Seeing both admiring him made him shy.

He too was shocked to see the girls.

"Beautiful and pure" he uttered.

Their eyes held no schemes and facade only pureness

Since it was awkward for everyone to just stand without speaking, so Vladis decided to make the first move.

"Young ladies shall we go for boating". His cello-like voice broke their stupor.

After realizing that they both were openly staring at him, their cheeks flushed red from embarrassment.

Since they both were too embarrassed to speak so he just remained quiet and helped them to land on the boat. After landing on the boat, they took their seats.

It was becoming too awkward to just sit there so quietly so Ceci started speaking to break the awkwardness.

"Greetings to Knight Commander of Reinstle empire, Vladis. I am Cecilia Taylor, daughter of Mr. Brian Taylor"

"Greeting to Knight Commander of Reinstle empire, Vladis. I am Camila Taylor, daughter of Mr. Brian Taylor and we are twins" Camila introduced herself.

Vladis was truly amazed by the voice and mannerism of both of them. He did not want to admit it, but they were beautiful. There was nothing to compare between the twins. Both were having their unique charm and presence. If Arthur would have been here, he would have taken both the young ladies to his bed. Vladis secretly cheered for himself for meeting such beautiful ladies.

After regaining their senses they both went ahead with their plan. Truth to be told, Vladis was a handsome man that lacked nothing. He was a perfect man.

They both have been keeping track of Vladis action and from what they observed that there was not a single flaw in this man. Be it his face, body, personality, mannerism. He was caring and soft-spoken too. There was nothing left to be wished more. Both the sisters went into a dilemma. What to do?

They were afraid if both fell for the same person then that would be a major crisis to solve. With this problem in their mind, they both decided to make things clear between them.

"Knight Vladis there is something that we want to tell you," Camy said bravely.

"I hope you will not throw us in the lake knight Vladis in case you get offended " Ceci spoke without an ounce of fear. They may get lost in beauty, but it did not mean that they were timid girls. If needed they were ready to give him a good fight

Vladis was amazed by their fearlessness and nodded in response. '

"So the problem is a royal proposal?"

"We both know that you are betrothed to Taylor's young miss but since there are two misses so it is a problem. My father told me he had spoken to the lord regarding this proposal and the lord had suggested we go with our wishes. We might marry you, both of us, or maybe only one of us marry you, or may both of us decline to marry you. Do you know about this?"Camila asked after explaining herself.

"I do" Vladis calmly replied.

"So what are your views on this?" It was Ceci who asked a question. When Camy was asking, Ceci was thoroughly studying Vladis, his facial expression, his body language to get a hint of what he was thinking but to her dismay he was just calmly smiling. He was an unreadable man, and it scared the hell out of Cecilia. She was more careful around him.

"We will go according to the young ladies' wishes. I don't mind any outcome you suggested. You are free to choose" Vladis explained humbly.

Game over.

It was a total game over for them. This guy Vladis knew about his charms. His careful and humble demeanor made it impossible for any woman in the empire to not fall for him. Camy and Ceci both gave a helpless smile to each other and decided to go with the flow.

"We are happy that you respect our wishes but there is one thing that we want to tell you" Camy explained.

"Sure. Go, ahead" Vladis said.

"We don't want to get married so early. We have our goals planned that we want to achieve before marriage. Also, we recently came back after completing our studies so we also want to spend some time with our parents. I hope you understand"

"Yeah sure. No problem. I am happy that you have an oriented mindset and want to do something for yourself. I fully support your ideas"

Another lethal attack.

They both were sure that they won't be healing soon from this kindness attack.

"Let's do one thing. For the time being, let's forget about the betrothal and become friends first. This way it won't be awkward for us and even if you both declined me. We can remain friends. I don't mind befriending such beautiful ladies"

Camy and Ceci were both swamped by this suggestion. It was the perfect solution for all their problems. This way they can have time to achieve their goals befriend him and can get away from the stupid royal proposal.

"Thank you for the suggestion. It is a nice idea. Let's follow it" Camy said excitedly.

"Sure. let's do it"

"Thanks, knight commander Vladis" Ceci replied.

"Now since we are a friend we can drop the titles and you may call me Vladis. It would be my fortune to listen to my name being called by both of you"

Both the women's cheeks became red. Seeing them embarrassing and shying away secretly improved Vladis mood and strangely enough, he felt joy in this.

"Okay Vladis"

"You may call me Ceci and her Camy" Ceci spoke bashfully. Camy nodded in response.
