7 Family reunion-2

The butler informed Mrs. Taylors about the young mistresses sleeping soundly in their room.

"Forget it. If they are sleeping let them sleep. They surely have been exhausted from their journey."Mrs... Taylor said.

Evening came and soon it was the time of the arrival of Mr. Brian Taylor.

Camy was the first one to wake up from the slumber and as soon as she regained her sense, she went to wake up her lousy sister.

"Ceci, Ceci wake up. Father will be arriving anytime. Have you forgotten about giving him a surprise? Wake up you lousy, drowsy girl". Ceci groaned and with a half-awake state went to shower.

Half an hour later both were grinning and standing at the front of the Runes room.

"Ready sis. Let's do a blast". Cecilia spoke with glimmering eyes

"Of course," Camila hummed with equal mischief.

They were giggling and when they heard the opening of the door of the mansion, they both hid near the door.

Mrs. Taylor was already there for welcoming her husband and to also help her daughter in their act. As soon as Mr. Taylor entered the house he was greeted with the sight of his wife and it made his mood surely good as he dropped his guard. Cecilia and Camila were waiting for their father to shed his guard and as soon as they got a hint from their mother, they took their swords and aimed them at their father.

Mr. Taylor was alarmed and wanted to kill the intruders but from the corners of his eyes, he saw that his wife was smiling, and he easily got the play. He was one of the mighty councilmen with immense power who can easily take down 20 men in one go so it was a piece of cake for him to catch his daughters but how can he win against his daughters.

If his son was his pride, then his daughters were his lifeline. He could not bear to hurt his daughter and thus decided to join their little game.

Cecilia mimicked the voice of an intruder

"everyone drops your swords"

"don't even try your spells on me"

'I am the heavenly spell caster Ceci '

'And I am cony' Camy introduced herself.

Pointing her sword at the man in her grasp she made funny expressions

"Gentleman we are very good robbers and will harm no one. We will free you as soon as you will give us some nice food to eat and some jade bangles."

Everyone around them dazed witnessing the scene in front of them. No one uttered a sound because of shock. The older servants were aware, and the recent ones had heard the rumors about Mr. Brian doting on their daughters but the scene which they were witnessing was beyond their imagination. Who was Mr. Brian? A simple man? Not. He was one of the strict men in the entire empire but here he was behaving like a terrified man. Although his expressions were rather funny instead of terrified.

"So, both of you are hungry people?"

"Sure. No problem. We have a lot of food in our home and we can surely give you some. Don't worry I am a very generous and kind person. I will ask my wife to pack some extra food for both of you too. About jade bangles, I can give you that too but on one condition." Mr. Brian finally uttered some words in a humorous tone.

"What?" both asked in unison.

Mr. Brian started laughing suddenly confusing everyone. After catching his breath, he said. "if both of you are having any men in your heart and want that bangle as a dowry. I will surely give you. Say, do you like anyone?"

Hearing this from their father's mouth made both stunned and later their cheeks became red as a tomato. They were evidently embarrassed but before they could rebut their father; they felt a change in the atmosphere and soon a tall and handsome man entered inside the house. He was wearing a mask and a black cloak.

Mr. and Mrs. Taylor recognized the man despite his mask However, Mr. Taylor was looking very displeased. His lovely time with his daughters was being spoiled because of his idiot son.

Camila and Cecilia became shocked to see this man. They both felt that this man was familiar, but they just couldn't recognize him. The man adjusted his voice and said with a heavy but not so threatening tone, "what are you doing? Do you have any idea who you are aiming at?"

Although he tried to sound not so threatening but both the women were sacred of the wits. They knew that nobody would attack them in the house since everyone was familiar with them but after seeing her mother's terrified expression; they felt like something was amiss. They dropped their swords and immediately flung themselves in their father's embrace and whined to him.

Scared, definitely they were. The only one who could protect them was their father.

"Father, Father I am sorry for this mischief, but we didn't mean any harm"

"Please forgive us, father". Both of them sobbed on their father's shoulder.

Mr. Taylor was both happy and sad at the same time. He was happy that both of his daughters were now in his embrace and sad because their sobbing was breaking his heart in several pieces. Mrs. Taylor also felt sad after seeing their daughter sobbing and thus gave a deadly glare at the man wearing a cloak.

The man became exasperated after seeing Mrs. Taylor's glare. He was at a loss for words. He slowly exclaimed in his mind, 'mother, who was the one who gave a terrified expression when I was acting. They both are crying because they saw your scared expression'

He was also sad because his darling sisters could not recognize him and now, we're crying their eyes out. Hastily he removed his mask and his cloak and came in front of them. He ordered the retreat and with that, all the guards went outside the mansion. As soon as they both heard the voice, they were shocked and immediately they stared at the man in front of them. The man in the front of them was none other than their big brother Rune.
