19 19. Magical Tailoring

When the morning sun rose to the city of Rinde and the people left their homes and went back to work, Ron and Dragonfly took the opportunity to open the city's gates and entered the city. The streets of the city, which started to come to life, caused the duo, especially Ron, to look around curiously.

When he saw those various spices and alchemical ingredient, which he knew especially from their bad smell, were sold in the city, Ron was surprised how this city was not bothered by the bad smell. The two walked past the stalls and shops around them and stopped in front of the tavern where a large pig's head hung. Looking at the sign, Ron understood why the city wasn't bothered by the stench.

The name of the tavern was "The Pig's Large Intestine". Ron, who had come across perhaps the worst inn name to choose, felt his stomach turn upside down at the thought of it. When the two entered the tavern, a barn-like smell flooded Ron's nose, and he had to force himself not to vomit. Wondering how Dragonfly was doing, Ron turned his head towards her and realized that the woman seemed unaffected by the scent.

"You left your sense of smell out of the shop? How is it that with such a sensitive nose, you can act like nothing happened in this scent?"

"Obviously, this smell isn't all that irritating when you compare it to the smell you get when you get a contract in any city and enter that city's sewers."

Hearing these words, Ron swelled his cheeks, noticing a middle-aged man staring at them curiously, realizing that this person was the owner of the tavern. He was middle-aged and burly. Combined with his short stature, it made the man look like a walking beer keg. He had broad muscular arms and broad shoulders to support him.

Just behind the owner of the tavern stood a beautiful middle-aged woman. Her blonde hair had turned slightly white. She had tied a piece of cloth on her head, but this did not completely cover her hair, so the condition of her hair was directly revealed.

"Two beautiful people, how can we help you?" The middle-aged, potbelly tavern owner leaned against the bar counter. This made him look like a slightly tilted beer keg. Ron involuntarily grinned. "We want to rent two rooms."

Dragonfly took over the conversation and said, "Let's have two rooms, one normal and the other a little more luxurious. The friend next to me is living a life outside for the first time and misses the comfort he lived in, please don't forget to bring him hot water and food every day."

Smelling the money, the tavern owner said, "Well, how many days will you stay? You can be sure that we will do our best for our valued guests like you. If you want, ma'am, we can arrange a nice room for you too. I can even offer you my best room if you want. I have two hot meals in it and also hot water twice a day…"

Dragonfly waved her hand to show her direct negative, "You just have to prepare for this fellow. This young friend of mine will pay for both rooms anyway."

Two pairs of eyes suddenly turned to him, and Ron plucked the question from his lips. "And how much is the diary for these two rooms?"

"Oh actually it's not that high, fifty crowns a day for your room and twenty crowns for this lady, how many days would you like us to have our room ready for you?"

Ron directed his gaze towards Dragonfly. If there was a weapon that could kill gaze at that moment, it would have killed Dragonfly already. Quickly calculating in his mind, Ron thought of the amount of crowns remaining in his wallet. "Let's go with just two days for now. If we want to stay longer, we will let you know."

Both the owner and the owner of the tavern simultaneously made a reference. It was a salami that worked so well that Ron couldn't help but admire the passion these two had for their work. "Please let's continue from here. Follow us to show you both rooms to stay."

Ron went upstairs as he followed the tavern owner. Dragonfly followed the tavern owner and proceeded towards the lower floor of the tavern.

Finding himself upstairs in a luxuriously furnished room, Ron was at first a bit confused by the fact that he hadn't been in a luxurious setting since Ban Ard. Then he dropped himself onto the bed of the room.

The soft surface greeted him and embraced him quickly. Ron felt that the joy could go on forever. However, before he could do that, he had some work to do for himself.

He thought a lot during the journey and finally made plans for how to make clothes for himself in his head. Considering the fabric and the type of fabric required to make these, Ron had only to find a reliable tailor and buy some affordable fabric from him.

Of course, he didn't need to do it himself, it was just a small benefit from the tavern himself. For this, they were deducting a certain commission from you. This was usually around ten percent for each job, but Ron didn't care as he thought this kind of commission was worth it for his own clothes.

Towards the evening, the fabrics he wanted were brought to his door. The leather embroidered cloth was placed on top, the majority of the cloths were black, and a very thin piece of cloth was also white.

Ron, who started to work as a tailor by magic, first started with the shirt sewing he was accustomed to. It took less than ten minutes to do this. After finishing the easy part, Ron wanted to sew himself a pair of trousers and thought leather embroidered fabric was best suited for this.

Even Ron's suit shocked him when he was done with all the fabrics. He held a black fedora in his hand, and when he looked at his own reflection with water magic, he was wearing a bowtie embellished with a white shirt, a long-waisted slim-fit jacket, and black leather embroidered trousers. He was aware that this outfit, which matched perfectly with his black boots, still had many shortcomings.

He needed a coat that you could wear as a cloak, and a walking stick that he could carry around, which he could use both as a weapon and as a weapon.

However; he did not have the crowns necessary to make them. For this, he had to first return to Novigrad and then settle there for a while and earn money. Ron grinned happily at the result he had achieved after three hours of excitement. He put his hat on his head and danced a little, then took off his hat and bowed to his own reflection.

As dusk fell, Ron hungrily began to eat his own supper. He placed his new set of clothes right next to his bed.
